Hello, We are not aware of a specific paint to use. We would recommend using a clear glue such as E6000 as not to hinder the color or reflection of the gemstone. Here is a link to the E6000: www.firemountaingems.com/5601BS.html As for the mirror effect, many rhinestones and some gems may have a foil backing added that will help to reflect the color without allowing the material underneath to show through. We do not have any specific products to recommend for "foiling" gems yourself, but some people have tried adding thin disks of silver to the back to give the mirroring effect. Curing in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time under the sun may result in some yellowing of the gloss. Also, continual or long-term exposure to direct sunlight can cause some darkening/yellowing over time.

I've been using Magic Gloss for 6 years and it has never once turned yellow. I've used it for countless jewelry projects and cured them in sunlight without incident.
