Just to let you know that I've been doing StereoPhotography for about 20 years now but people never took me seriously as there was always an excuse that "we can't see it" or "why bother" . I constantly post stereos on social media virtually everyday (like I'm becoming obsessed); the reason to plant a seed and to advocate the benefits from the ocular perspective. Your video is absolutely a blessing in disguise for all those "philistines" out there 😀. I know the drill so well from editing in PhotoShop to align stereos etc...but nowadays modern technology has made everything so easy and assessable (it's really scary and mind-blowing how advanced we are becoming). Stereos are a hobby of mine and it is a fantastic medium for relaxation and a balanced life too me as a professional performing artist. I have shared your video on social media for those interested personages that constantly ask me how it is done and I hope these postings would induce a renewed interest for would be stereoscopic photographers.

Really glad you’re enjoying the stereo films I’m sharing and thanks for your kind words.I know that feeling of slight obsession about stereo photography, it feels so useful and loaded with information, and also accessible, but it can be hard to get people to give it a go, that’s my big push, I’m really happy when I get a comment from someone who’s freeviewed for the first time, and hopefully this new film will get new people shooting their own. Thanks for sharing and have a great week!

It's amazing how many people aren't interested or willing to give twenty minutes to try a few techniques to see these, I was at a friend's house recently and there was one of if their friends there who was a photographer, I got chatting to him and asked him if he had seen 3d photos, answer was no, I tried to show him some on my phone but he had zero interest, literally none at all, I find it odd 😕

Great video that offers some really useful tips and advice. I have tried using both handheld single shot camera moving from side to side and also using a propreitary 3d 180 VUZE XR camera The latter giving a bit more of a virtual reality and instant grab for stills and video, but has limited pixel quality whereas a digital still camer can get much higher resolution for specific content. 🙂

Glad you enjoyed the film and found it useful. I picked up a Vuze a couple of years ago, a neat little versatile device, but I’ve found the software is no longer working or updating which is a bit annoying, how have you found it?

@@AndrewBrooksPhotography mine still works thankfully. I was just a little disappointed with the low light capabilities of the camera. Seems only to really like brightly lit days/scenes. I’m on windows 10 and have not moved to 11 partially for that reason.

Great video, I build my own 3D side by side camera and can take synchronized L and R jpg pictures. Is there any easy software to assemble two jpg pictures for MPO 3D file I can view with Meta Quest3 or Pigasus? Thanks

Have you tried stereophoto maker pro (free software), it extracts the jpg files from mpo with one click
