I always dreamed about growing my own vegetables and fruits at home. Last year I finally moved to a place with a balcony and made my first attempts growing a little balcony garden. I honestly had no clue where to start, so I did a little research and borrowed some books about urban gardening. I started filming to capture the progress and decided to give you some insights to this little adventure of mine. Hope you like it! xx

This video was lovely and so peaceful! I am moving into an apartment with a tiny yard soon so this is very inspirational. Although it may be more shaded than your space. The video footage was beautifully done but the colours were saddening and the music too - it was rather an autumn feeling. But most importantly we learned nothing about the actual 'how to do it'. I enjoyed it though.

Thank you so much and sorry for my late response! Yes, actually I struggle with pests every year. Often I discover them very early and pick them off by hand or chop the affected branches off. But I also heard that garden soap or neem oil works very well against pests. I haven’t tried it yet as my infestations were always manageable. All the best! :)

The production quality of this was absolutely amazing! And I can't believe this was your first time gardening! Everything looked like it was producing beautifully! How did you deal with pests? It's the number one mistake I've made as a beginner gardener to neglect prevention. It looks as though you didn't have any problems with it at all. Again, I loved the way you filmed and edited this video!

Your comment made me smile, thank you so much! ☺️ I‘m currently planning a video about pests. I used natural enemies and made some mixtures out of vinegar and soap or black tea. But I’m still on it and try out different homemade and natural sprays to find out which work best. Had really good experiences with ladybug larvas and nematodes. :) Thanks again for your lovely feedback 🥰

Yes sure! There are certain veggies that are shade-tolerant like lettuce, radishes, arugula or herbs. 😊 I would say try it out and see which plants thrive best!

Hey! Actually, the temperature difference between Austria and Ireland is not that big. But I would recommend you to visit local gardening stores and check their plant assortment. I'm sure there are plenty of flowers, fruits and veggies that thrive where you live. :)
