I love Thanksgiving. It really reminds us to be grateful and thankful ….. and that puts us in the right mindset for the real meaning of Christmas. Secondly, autumn is so breathtakingly gorgeous, it’s so important to recognize God’s beautiful creation. Great video Linda, thanks. 😊
Linda I love your channel. I am 72 yrs old and feel yo are an old soul. It haa taken me these many years to appreciate fine living. I so wish I found this enjoymaent whaen I was 30, 40, 50 or 60. Now I dream .
Oh I just never want your videos to end😣. Willow has found her comfort spot for sure. Such a great idea adding the window seats. Thanks for all you share Linda. ❤️
What I did today and every Sunday was watch your video. It brings me such peace and happiness. Thank you for that. Your pretty metal square cake plate with the pineapple and tangerines is one of he prettiest Christmas decorations I've seen.
I look forward to every video you create. As usual, you motivate me to create decor from my outdoor surroundings and the many vintage items I have gathered over the years. Thank you, Linda!
Linda, thank you for this great video. You are such a talented and inspirational woman. You radiate joy with your ceative ideas and positive energy. As a new subscriber, I am hooked on your videos. I love your classic colonial style, and your engaging personality is an absolute pleasure to watch. I know that I am in for a treat when one of your videos pops up. I am looking forward to your upcoming holiday celebrations. You bring out the best in life. God bless you and all your endeavors. From NYC, Robert.
Hi Linda, when I didn’t see your video earlier this morning I became worried about, you, Ben and your family. I said “I hope Linda and everyone is okay.” Yay, now I see you posted a video and i can stop worrying about you guys!🤷♀️😀
Confession: I never had the patience to watch the videos on making vanilla. So many youtubers are shooting for a specific length video, thus spend time on superfluous details. Thanks Linda for making it so simple. You're a doll!
I love that you're not following trends by moving straight into Christmas decor! At least two radio stations here in Orlando, Florida began broadcasting holiday music barely a week after Halloween! Thanksgiving seems to be a forgotten holiday in recent years. It's no wonder people are tired of the holidays before they even arrive, and that we all forget the true spirit of the season.
I just love your life… your home… your gardens… your creativity… and most of all your energy. ❤ which is what one would need to accomplish so much on a daily basis. 🥰
💫 ~Beautiful content Miss Linda! And... I love your little table in the background with the lamp & nut bowl. ~The house looks so New England gorgeous!! 🍂🐿👍
Thanks, this was very enjoyable. It inspired me to try my hand at more things. I am so happy that you do these videos. I look forward to seeing you on Sundays.
Can't wait to see the Thanksgiving tree again - such a treat! Enjoyed the various projects (making vanilla, brown sugar, etc.) and always appreciate your clever tips to make things go more easily or address any issues that occur. Love going along with you to see the delightful shops in your area and finding inspiration from their creativity and yours! I've been re-watching some of your older autumn and holiday videos for idea reminders. Lots of fun things to look forward to on your channel in the weeks ahead!
I so appreciate your philosophy of living in the moment and enjoying the current holiday vs jumping straight to the next one. I've made the mistake of jumping right into Christmas too early, and by the time it arrives, I'm so burnt out that i don't enjoy it anymore. This year I'm going to follow your example and cherish the beautiful November autumn and upcoming time with family.
What a great video Linda! I found the vanilla and brown sugar tutorials very inspiring and helpful. The time spent with you is always too short! Be blessed! 💕
Thank you for taken us on this tour of your local shops. When I lived on Long Island my girlfriend and I would make a early evening of shopping at our local shop that decorated like your shop. So inspiring! To end our evening We drove around our local neighborhood and seeing the homes decorated while playing holiday music. Magical times. 😊
I always enjoy your videos and appreciate your love of cooking, baking, decorating, gardening and thrift store treasures. I also make my own brown sugar and vanilla. I've found it much easier to make the brown sugar in the food processor. It really infuses the sugar with the molasses. It keeps well and does not become dried out or hard. Thank you, Linda for all you are with us. You are amazing
Thanks for another fun video,my Daddy took butter and smashed it together with Molasses and ate it on toast for breakfast, also did the same with honey But no peanut nut butter ,never ! I am finally learning to be kind to myself and give myself Grace, regret I didn’t do it many years ago .. I have never done a Thanksgiving tree ,now I want to ,I will start collecting this year for next ,can’t wait to see yours ,already put in my journal 🍁🍂
With all the construction going on last year you still made your home cozy and festive. (Watched again last night) 😊Excited to watch your holiday videos! Glad for the videos because I watch them repeatedly, especially the Fall and Holidays! Everything looks amazing! I love decorating with nature finds too and the textures and colors in the stems and branches are some of my favorite colors! I enjoy making vanilla and other flavorings too. I put a marshmallow in my brown sugar helps keep it soft. The necklace is beautiful and the quaint shops were beautifully decorated! Thanks for posting another homespun, cozy video! ❤ 🍁 🎄
What a nice video Linda! You always get me inspired early to start decorating.😍 I love Twin Elm Farm…. thanks to you when you were there. Just a shoutout to the St George Candle company. Their candles are superb.! Bought one when you had the booth, now ordered two more from your store. Thanks for sharing such top quality products.
Thank you so very much for being so generous with your time making and sharing these wonderful videos, pure joy every time I watch one, such a beautiful home and your decorating talents are enviable, also enjoy the great recipes, thanks again!❤️
Hot pink looks so good on you 💖. I’m so excited about the coming weeks on your channel, I just adore the area you live in and your home. Thank you for sharing!
I haven’t the time to watch this right now, but I already know I’ll love it. When I watch you, I get off my duff, and do something! I just started a channel, and I must work on it now, but I’ll watch this evening! ❤️
I got lots of inspiration from this video, Linda! Thank you so much for sharing how you make homemade vanilla. I made it many years ago, and the recipe said to cut the vanilla beans. It was messy & time consuming. I loved seeing the shops decorated for the holidays. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
Linda, i ordered that turtleneck that you have on in two colors. I love it so much. Also, your channel is my favorite all year but Autumn through winter are my very favorites. The way you showcase those seasons is just wonderful. I am going to be extra excited about Christmas this year. It's my first Christmas in Maine and I'm in love. As a child and all through my life I always dreamed of seeing a snow in New England. I am excited to see everything you have in store for us.
Thank you again Linda! I do a lot of baking and I am soooo tired of spending a small fortune on Vanilla extract. I had no idea it was so easy to make. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. I just ordered my supplies on Amazon (YOU WEREN’T LINKED in products HINT HINT)… but I thank you again for another great idea….and my friends thanks you too ❤️….
Honestly, Linda... How in the world do you think of alllllll these ventures? You are something else. I stay busy every day, so much to do..My Christmas has taken me.... 7 solid days of decorating, Beautiful. 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
Hi Linda, another beautiful and relaxing and helpful video.i always celebrate each season and holiday it's a "NE thing", how I was raised and raised mine.I didn't know about using the apple slices for the brown sugar or how to make my own, and tomorrow I'm going to try one of your Dad's sandwiches 😁I love all your fire places going how cozy and I was eyeing your beautiful cake stand with the fruit love that! The holiday shops was a treat.Looking forward to seeing your decor and baking and cooking.Have a wonderful and blessed week.🕊️💚
I love watching you look at the stores in our area because you have such beautiful options. I didn't realize you could continue topping off homemade vanilla, that's good to know for the future. Also for brown sugar, you can purchase a little terra cotta bear that you soak in water, then add it into your container for continued moisture.
Hi Linda did you share what you sent in your boxes yet. How beautiful to have your home all done for this Holiday season. I made vanilla last year (June 2022) it is delicious! With all that is going on in our world I’m making my gifts and baking using my vanilla. My heart hurts and this year trees will go up and food will be cooked but I’m not going to kill myself buying presents. I’m taking it back to praying and celebrating the birth of Jesus. I’m not rushing to Christmas either 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Amazing, Linda! I had no idea how to make vanilla extract or brown sugar!! So interesting. For my brown sugar, I bought brown sugar keepers from Amazon. They are terra cotta pieces that you soak in water, then you add them to your brown sugar jar. I have used these for several years now, after throwing away many packages of brown sugar! There is a way to re-soften the brown sugar in the microwave, but I've found using the terra cotta pieces has solved the problem for me.
This is a n excellent example of what the holidays really mean, love this video, how beautiful is your home, so cozy and welcoming, happy holidays to all 🎄💥🙏
I love peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Molasses does help soften stolls and go to the bathroom. Maybe that's why he ate it. Also, a slice of bread works to keep brown sugar soft.
Linda this was a fun video… I have my Thanksgiving tree up, and I used corn from my stalks outside and leaves. I started doing this tree the first time I saw yours!
Just love how you make happiness happen that is so totally me. Bring it on kindred spirit. I also like to challenge decorating for the Christmas seasons. Your homes is so well done. I use to journal lots, but time took me to other places in time. Things are falling in to a better place now and I am so ready for Christmas season. I will think about what I can today to make my life better. Love going along shopping with you sweet Linda. See you in the next video.
Hi Linda love your channel. I’m going to make some vanilla. Just ordered my vanilla beans can’t wait to get started. You are so motivating and I love your home it’s absolutely beautiful. That’s my dream to live where you live. Although I live in Colorado and it’s absolutely beautiful here. I’m a native I just don’t know if I could ever leave. Have a Happy Thanksgiving my dear. 🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂
Hello from Connecticut Linda! I enjoyed this video so much. I was taking a break from my own Christmas decorating. I put up 5 trees and do the whole first floor of the house, so it takes a while, but is a labor of love! 🎄🎄🎄
@@lauraflores5777 All artificial, because after all that work, I love to enjoy everything throughout the winter and take everything down about mid-February. 🎄
Lovely video and home Linda - thank you. Another way to soften hard brown sugar is to buy little clay discs that you moisten with water and place in brown sugar. Those work great. Thank you for sharing your home with us. ☺ Wishing you and your family a wonderful and joyous Thanksgiving ☺
I just love your channel and I am so happy I found you. I love everything you do and I always look forward to your videos. I am so glad you do Thanksgiving decorating. Seems like a lot of people are decorating for Christmas earlier and earlier in November and forgetting about Thanksgiving. By the time Christmas actually comes they can’t stand the decorations anymore. I start Christmas decorating on December 1st. and leave it up till January 6th. Epiphany but most of the time till mid January.
I just love watching your videos, I always come away with ideas for our home thats different. So looking forward to your next video...thanks for sharing!!! Your daughters necklace is beautiful, she is very talented...like her Mom!!!
So I had to write you and tell you that I had no idea about making brown sugar, or softening it. My daughter was in the hospital and she couldn’t eat her apple. She was going to send it back but I grabbed it and brought it home. I followed your instructions and bam, my brown sugar is soft. My daughter went home that day and is improving. Thank you for teaching us that nifty trick ~ Janet 😘
Linda, thank you so much for this video. I have been wanting to make my own vanilla extract for a while now, so you have inspired me …..and have you seen how much real vanilla extract costs in the grocery store? It’s outrageous! I also never thought of making my own brown sugar, but will be doing so from now on. There are so many wonderful Christmas “open house days” in the Monadnock area and I will be attending as many as possible!! Lots of fun……Christmas decorating is my favorite thing to do! Until next time🎄🎄🎄
Nova Scotian here: my family would butter homemade bread and serve with a saucer of molasses to dip the bread in. Yummmm. Your father must’ve created his own treat 🤎
Here in Manitoba Canada there were kids who took molasses sandwiches to school, I love molasses! Another weird peanut butter sandwich is with dill pickles! Yep anybody else out there had them? They’re delicious! ❄️🇨🇦❄️
Thank you so much for explaining about how to make the vanilla extract thoroughly, so I understand it. I just have one question though, so you keep for years and you keep adding more vodka do you have to keep adding fresh vanilla beans?
I’m new here, just found you after surgery and having to rest for several weeks. You’re such a blessing! What a peaceful and beautiful channel you’ve created. Thank you for putting together great content and letting us peak inside your life. My Golden puppy loves watching Willow 🥰, so we’ve been enjoying your channel together. Best to you from Lexington, Kentucky!
Loved this video Linda! I will be definitely making that brown sugar , thank you for sharing the recipe! Always look forward to Sundays with you! You make me feel like I just visited a friend!
We mixed homemade butter with homemade molasses and just ate it with a spoon. I had forgotten that until you told your story. My grandma made molasses’s cookies and I was allowed to dip in coffee as a child. Wish I could do that again 😢. Thanks for memories.
Hello. Whenever my brown sugar hardened, I would put a piece of bread in the box with the sugar. In a day or so, the sugar was fine. I think that I learned this from my mother years and years ago. Have a pleasant day all...
Hi Linda, wow love this cozy home video! I didn’t know you could make vanilla and brown sugar🍰 thank you! I usually put bread in my hardened brown sugar but I love the apple idea!
A lovely relaxing video with lots of inspiration ~ thank you! I think 'll be making a batch of vanilla essence for family gift giving this Christmas 🎄❤️
I absolutely love the ship painting with the lanterns over the fireplace. I loved it at your Groton home, so glad you kept it for Sugarwood. Are you losing weight? Those jeans and pink top looked awesome on you. You always look lovely, I just noticed you’re looking slimmer. Secret please. 😊
Enjoy this one, have to try the brown sugar one. I just love you house. I have to take one holiday at a time, we’re getting in such a rush to get it out of the way and move on, take time to enjoy.
What are fun video to watch… I’m a lot like you Linda, which I love to share my Thanksgiving decorations at Thanksgiving. I’ll start my Christmas decorating the weekend after. Thanks for sharing those recipes sending hugs, love, prayers and kindness with positive thoughts.❤
Hi Linda! So happy to see all you do-from the small things to the others! On the vanilla, you said cool area, should it also be in the light or dark? Knew brown sugar was sugar with molasses (9which I always have in the house) but never thought to do my own, great idea! The Christmas shops were beautiful and inspiring; can’t wait to see what you bought! Thanksgiving and❤ Christmas will always include you! Thank you for sharing your life with us along with Ben and Willow; and yes, glorious Sugarwood!
Good morning from Nova Scotia! Molasses and peanut butter sandwiches were a childhood treat for us. Now I prefer molasses drizzled on toasted brown bread or raisin bread. Mmmmmmmm!!
I love the ship art. I have a gas stove and I want to change it the wood. Hard wood is information I didn’t know about. Thank you so much. I will come to visit your area. I’m looking into my family. I want to visit because I love history and my family’s history especially ❣️Your Home is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing
