Thank you so much for discussing this topic! These alternative options aren’t talked about nearly enough. I graduated in December 2022 with my Master’s in counseling, and towards the end of my program I realized that providing direct therapy isn’t really for me. I’m not really sure where I’m going next, but it’s nice to hear these options reflected and to know that there’s something out there for me! Best of luck in your practice and other areas of work and life. ♥️
Hi! Reading this is everything, I’m so glad this video was helpful and appreciate you sharing your post grad experience.🤎 Wishing you the best with exploring what comes next for you but also just so happy that you’re done with grad school🎉🎉🥹
I can't even get through this video without stopping and taking notes every 5 seconds because everything you are saying is golden! You are such an inspiration and I gain so much from your channel. You are making a difference and are so appreciated!
Not sure if you saw my comment on a previous video of yours, but thank you so much for making the content you do! I am in my first semester of my counseling program and you have sparked inspiration in me to start my own channel! So glad I found you 💖
Hi!!👋🏽 Thank you for commenting again. I took a bit of a break from uploading but so happy to be back. So happy you’re here! I love that you’re starting your own channel🎉🥹
@@Keep_On_Growing So glad you're back and uploading! I honestly found your channel a few days ago and I got so excited to start. I'll be posting about my journey as a counseling grad student :). Your videos are helping so much. We def need to build a community for fellow therapists and even millenial therapists at that.🥰
Just seen this video, I’m an AMFT & currently working my first therapist job. The case management has me feeling burnt, so these are great options to spark my creativity so things don’t feel overwhelming & routine. Will be tuning in more, thank you.😊
Thank you!!! This information is needed, this is something counseling programs need to include to help us venture out of the normal career paths. You rock!
Thanks for mentioning life coaches. Life coaching helped me to branch out of case mgmt into something more affirming for me to use my degrees. (I just got burned out in case mgmt) I’m planning to pivot from life coaching to licensed therapist in 2023.
I liked how she mentioned life coaches too, because this is the field I'm coming from, as I consider becoming an LPC. Juana, I find it really interesting to hear you're able to do the life coaching while you are in school. I'd be curious to hear more about that!
Hi! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with life coaching Juana. I definitely hear you on the burnout. So happy you found what you wanted to do as a coach and here’s to having another future therapist soon☕️☺️
Thank you for this video and all your videos! You’ve definitely inspired me as I start my last semester of graduate school. I am now thinking of my next steps and different options with my counseling degree.
Thank you for sharing these tips. I host a mental health podcast and have my certification as a life and wellness coach. I want to start a coaching business for the lgbtq community but not sure how to go about it
I also just found your videos the other day, and I'm loving your content and "you can do it" vibe! I've gone down a less clinical path than you with working with clients, first through health coaching and now through life coaching. Since I just got laid off from my life coaching job, I've been thinking about potentially getting my masters and LPC license, and it's so neat to hear from someone about their personal experience.
Yo girl! I just love & appreciate your videos so much! I’m looking for alternative ways to use my credentials after I graduate and these were fantastic ideas! Please keep them coming. ALSO, to be able to make money while still in school is weighing heavily in my mind…appreciate the motivation 🙏
Hey…thank you for the guidance. I am planning to relocate to Texas in couple of months from Cleveland, OH. I work as Mental Health Specialist in Cleveland with educational background from India (Masters Degree in Psychology) and I wish to upgrade and update about the future path. Also, what are the options for getting into the same profession in Tx! Thank you
Once I pass my certification test how do I go about getting my New Mexico license. Also how do I go about seeking a LPC supervisor? I appreciate your time and help
