I paint with watercolours a lot and to be honest your pallet was fine, they always stay ‘dirty’ because you can just restart the watercolours you left on the pallet with a little water. That way you don’t waste any paint. Nothing to be ashamed of 😄

Pam, You made my day with the story of the Lady that died. She had some kind of OCD.. thoughts after they found all the scraps of tiny bits of paper in the garage! I love this idea, it reminded me a little of the gorgeous envelope we made last week 😉 I am not super artistically endowed, but I throw myself into watercolors every so often, they are very appreciative of non-talent, so I haven't been 'embarrassed' by the results yet 😉😊👍 Thanks for this Pam - love from freezing Denmark (-15°C)🥶❄

I’ve found that for those that “can’t paint”... get a child’s Simple coloring book, cut out the pictures & use them or use them for a pattern! You can do it!!! It’s fun!

Saw that long handle brush and immediate said (yes, out loud): You’ll poke your eye out! Those things are dangerous in close quarters. 🤣 I knocked my eyeglasses off with a similar brush. I cut several inches off it for my own safety. 😆 Your page is lovely! Thank you for reminding us (me!) that crafting can, and should be fun!

Gouache is an opaque watercolor. Even if dried in tubes, they and watercolors can be saved. But dried up in tubes, etc of acrylic paint or oil paints, they are done, just toss cause their ain't no way of bringing them back to life. have you ever had that tape seep through your page after a period of time?...I have looked back in my journals and have been dismayed at finding that this happened....usually where I used it on thin paper....usually this is the tape I use but I have been known to use others to see if I like them...maybe it was one of these other tape runners....I hope....anyway I have been more careful about using the tape...Have you experienced this?......love your page....I keep forgetting to use book pages!

When you said at the first,don't make fun of my bird, I was thinking, wow she draws pretty birds. It's all in the eye of he beholder. I have done the patchwork pages and I have painted on a page and now I will painting on a patchwork page. Why hasn't it occurred for me to do this? I needed you to show me while I was being entertained by you. Thank you for this wonderful video that I will save so I watch can you all over again.

This is a super cute idea, and I adore that you have an old Bobbsey Twins book to use! I think a similar look might be good for a cover, if it could be protected sufficiently. Love it!

Pam you are delightful. I laughed and laughed at the thought of people viewing the garage with overflow scraps wondering about the owner. I am single, retired and into many arts and crafts so all but three of my 8 rooms are overflowing with supplies. What will be said when I leave this world?

I use the thicker pieces I tear off of book pages for small note books to sick in my pockets in my journal lol This is great for the longer pieces I just didn't want to throw away! Thank you!

I like these ideas a lot. I think they would be a great way to reinforce the ugly side of a magazine page. Also, I one of my favorite things was the accident, where the back page of the book stuck to the tape. I want to try that on a bigger scale and see how it turns out. Maybe I can use that to add lines for writing.

When I have layered paper like this I usually go over all of it when finished with a mix of OVA and water. That seems to catch all of the loose ends

On a video by another crafter, she said not to try to fold collaged or glued pages until they dry. Is that a factor as far as you are concerned? I have a feeling I've done it both ways.

If that tube of paint that rattled and was dry that you threw away was watercolor or gouache, you can open up the metal tube and put the bits into a pallette. You will be able to reactivate them enough with a wet brush to still use the paint.

OMG don't throw away those dried watercolour and gouache paints Pam, you can still use them when they are dry - they will come back to life if you just add water. The acrylic paints can't be rewet though :)
