Amaryllis bulbs produce exquisite blooms with seemingly little effort. A fairly recent innovation, amaryllis coated in wax offer endless possibilities for display including this simple project that adds natural, woodland flair and would make a unique living gift.
Steps on making a displaying Amaryllis:
1. Choose a big, healthy amaryllis bulb.
2. Find yourself a nice wood round slightly larger around than the diameter of you bulb.
3. Attach the bulb to the wood round.
4. Re-affix the bulb onto the frame pressing some Spaghnum or Reindeer moss around the bulb to cover the frame.
5. Add a small string of lights as shown. This will add a touch of magic to your creation.
6. Place your Amaryllis bulb in a cool bright space. Turn regularly to encourage a straight stem.
7. Your Amaryllis should be blooming within 4 to 6 weeks. Just in time for the Holidays!
