I wonder if the bloom stem you have in water will eventually make roots? It would be a good experiment!

My amaryllis are blooming their hearts out, but the bulbs are soft. Is that normal, or will it die after blooming?

Thank you for sharing this video! I keep my Amaryllis all year through outside...we don't have frost...and they get long hours of sun especially in summer like now! May I ask, how is it that most of my Amaryllis have very short stems or no stems at all? All my 4 Double Amaryllis do not have any stems at all...the flowers comes out at the top of the bulb!!! Even some of the normal Amaryllis have short stems! Any advise please? Sylvia
