Creative Lighting Modifiers for AD100 & V1 

Thank you for doing this accessory break down for all the magnetic modifiers that work on both systems. I've been looking for something like this for a while!

You're absolutely right. My Profoto wide adapter came apart the first time I put it "in line" with other clic filters but when looking to buy a spare I saw B&H had them on clearance after Profoto discontinued them so I bought a bunch of them. Since then I only keep it as the outermost filter in the stack and it hasn't come apart again. I also thought it was hilarious when I discovered that the clic accessories worked on the Godox round heads, but not the other way around (some you might be able to force but all the accessories I tried had the magnets laid out in a way that makes them not really stay on).

The Godox gel accessories are disappointing in how they rattle etc. To get a single color gel to sit tightly on its own requires a hacky method of placing it at an angle and turning it into non-opposing slots, or use a bit of Blu Tac (Fun Tak). Hard to explain, but messes with my OCD. I don't mind faffing around with that stuff for a creative portrait shoot, but when using the V1 for events, it would frustrate me. I got the Profoto Clic quarter CTO, and while pricey, it works exactly how a magnetic snap-on filter should work! I might buy more. When you consider the indented contours near the edge of both the AD100 and V1, in combination with magnets, it's clear that there is potential for larger, better modifiers to be developed. Fingers crossed.

This Fresnel is sweet, makes your AD100 almost in a AD200 :)and it packs small away. I right now have an issue with my Ricoh GR3x, got the Pentax AF201FG as all over the net it get much praise for how it works with the GR. Mine just does not fire, not matter what. The Pentax flash works on my Q3, A7c and even the old Ricoh GXR, but not GR3x. If I put on the Fuji EF x20, it works.....

I just purchased the AD100. and wow, the profoto acc are pricy alright.

The light spot by fresnel is horisontal because of the flash? if you turn the fresnel, will the light spot turn too?

When you put the Fresnel on the AD100 what was the AD100 zoom setting? I'd very much liked to have seen a before and after shot. I've considered buying one for the AD200 round head but never thought of using it on an AD100. I quite like the Godox gel holders. The plastic "gels" that come with it are not very nice but using the V11c/V11t gel packs or the equivalent fro Rogue work well for me. If I ever needed anything more exotic I could cur a circle out of Lee or Rosco sheets. I bought a few extra AK-R16 filter holders so I can carry a commonly used gels pre loaded.
