I have these speakers 1st of all for the price they are great. its not a high end set though keep that in mind the volume is very loud and sound quality overall is very good for the price (after little tweaking). the main issue is they are VERY boomy and muddy in the low frequencies because of that, the low freq. masks the mid range making it unpleasant to listen to you will have to use EQ to lower the low freq. then you'll get a good quality sound.. for me, a good balance was achieved after cutting 30Hz -9db, 60Hz -4.5db, 90Hz -8db those settings gave good quality in both low and high volume of course you can use a software EQ like the one in your PC/Phone audio player

im looking to buy them, but i am not sure, for me they have only one job: Rock Music / Metal. Everything else is not important. Alot systems ahve problems with to much instruments like drummer and bass at the same time :/

@@justpat1420 you won't have that problem. The pseudo equalizer creates a perfect balance between bass and treble. That's the music I hear too. Go for it, they're very good for the price.

Nice review! My doubt is, when you start to up the volume (70 to 100% for example), the sound also start to distorsionate? Or it keeps the sound with good quality? Regards from Argentina

I found it to be good sound very loud. I am no expert it sounded clear but did have some distortion at highest levels. But that is expected for 100 dollar speakers

if you have a high quality file format such as flac of wav then its fine. thats the reason I replaced all my mp3s with the said file formats. it was an awakening for me. try it and it will be mind blowing.

Do you know How to turn off the ambient lighting (blue knob). It’s in my bedroom and it’s bright. Even when the things off it’s still on. So I have to unplug the whole power bar when I go to sleep and it’s kinda annoying.

Nope it doesn't turn off. Maybe put a book in front of it or you could put some black electrical tape over the lights

Awesome review. You mentioned that the cables are short. Can I use them on 55' TV and put them on the side?

You can if you have the system in the center. Like under the TV so the cables can reach both sides. If the system is too far one speaker won't reach the other side of the tv

I bought it, but I can't turn off the LEDs. When I press the 'off' button, it stays in standby mode. Is there any other way to turn off the device without unplugging it?

I have a question .. when you remove it from the power and then plug it in again. does it switch to radio by it's own ? as i had different one whenever the power cuts and come again it turns to radio and the sounds is awful on a random radio station.

Yes you have many other choices. You can use audio files loaded on a USB thumb drive or a SD card as there is a USB part and SD card reader slot. You also get aux in and a DVD in which is just aux in with a different name!

I would go with pebble if you are looking strictly for computer sound nothing else. The SBS if you want great sound for music.
