Emmy Slaibe, also known as The Mindful OT and creator of Yo.T Holistic Wellness, is a certified and registered occupational therapist as well as a yoga instructor and reiki practitioner. She is a NSU graduate with a bachelors in psychology and masters in Occupational Therapy.
While pursuing her education, Emmy developed severe anxiety and depression which led her down a path of searching for holistic practices after having a life changing reaction to medication.
After experiencing and witnessing the impact of yoga, meditation and reiki first hand , Emmy decided to become certified in all modalities to integrate into her profession of occupational therapy to truly bring the practice back to its roots of mental health and the importance of living a balanced life.
Since, she has brought yoga & mindfulness throughout Broward county including public and private schools, private psychotherapy practices, Holy Cross Hospital’s rehabilitation and acute care staff, private businesses and the community. She integrates her skills and experience as an OT to address self- awareness and reflection, while promoting personal growth and bringing community together. CreativeZen was born out of a desire for Choose954 & The UniteUs Group to connect, engage, and inspire our local creative community with support from The Alvin Sherman Library & Their Circle Of Friends. We open the doors 30 minutes before the talk starts to mix, meet, and mingle with fellow likeminded members of our community.
Every Creative Zen event includes a complimentary guided meditation before a short inspiring and thought provoking talk during the second Friday morning of the month. All Creative Zen events are free of charge and open to the community, being creative is not required!
