Is zephyrin Cochran offered you the ride in the first warp engine but didn't know whether or not it was going to blow up, would you take that ride if he had a good soundtrack?
Another prime example of what I'd probably buy instantly if it was account-wide. I'll wait a year or two before possibly having it. The Infinity LB is just so bloated which hopefully is something DECA will address. Ship Drain Expertise isn't in a real good place right now within STO. Excellent point about the cost of gambling for this ship with no guarantee versus buying a Mudd's Bundle.
first hand, opened this year over 500 infinity boxes and no ship!!! compared to last years where I will get at least two sometimes three for the same amount opened. Something is def off with this at least in my exp and as I hear same with many others. I stopped gettin keys for good until they reslove this, if they ever....
Ship drain and ship control resists are so bad that they are not even worth stacking unless you have some gear/trait that increases your damage based on those levels
Always like how you compare it to other ships and showcase: The expense of poor gambling odds for this ship for only 1 character (or exchange purchase still super expensive for only 1 character at least $100 plus) vs buying a Mudds bundle (which is guaranteed no gambling whatsoever) for about same amount with more ships items consoles and traits, and is account unlock. Thank you Spencer for you continued coverage!
its also the only thing that keeps the dil market active.... Gambling is the only thing keeping the dil market going and this being a free to play game for those willing to do the work.
@@VolkXueI personally do not really use the dilithium exchange much. I think I’ve used it maybe a couple of times, so when it comes to promo/lock box gambling ships and the dilithium market, it doesn’t factor in for me personally. Refining only 8,000 dilithium per day for 1 character (which is really all I use, sometimes an alt) and the tiny bit more to refine at the dilithium refinery area, is a long term thing therefore I may use the dilithium exchange maybe once per year. Others who have a lot of characters to farm in this fashion I could see how it would factor in, but this isn’t me. Also their gambling odds are Horrible for us gamers if you watch Spencer or Martin opening up Lock Boxes. Now if you can throw Hundreds upon Hundreds of dollars at this game and simply give away your money to this company for a single Promo/Lock Box ship for only one character, more power to you. However, I do not think that price point for all players is fair to charge everyone especially when they do not post the odds of these boxes and just exactly how few people actually get a ship. So for Gambling to support the dilithium exchange, . I know they could come up with a different model which would work which would not involve gambling, but they won’t, because they use players as a cash revenue stream at a high price with such a low return to the player for what they get. I personally have spent money in the game for a lot of different ships including promo and lock box purchased through the exchange however, as I have also purchased ships for traits, consoles and items and support the game as I get something in return as well, but I personally don’t want them to use me or other players as someone who sits in front of the game pulling the slot machine bar throwing money at them with little to no return for the Hundreds and Hundreds of dollars we would simply just be giving to them. We deserve better.
The German Blog is stating different stats. According to their Blog post the credence is supposed to have a commander tac and a commander tech seat as well. I wonder who messed up this time because in the past the German Blog was more reliable than the English one.
Thanks for the video! Could also be compared to the Disco MW FDC, which has an additional hangar bay, but not the temporal seat and weapon power command - however it's available in a bundle. Temporal seating is nice for Uncon on a DEW setup, Chronometric can offer some damage migation, but if you're not doing DEWSci, it can't offer much more.
following your advice I got the legendary cruiser bundle. the avenger is amazing! i love how maneuverable it is. the bort is nice too but I definitely like the avenger the best.
Two things I would like to eventually see are: 1) A Terran Lexington x Legendary Avenger fusion ship 2) An alliance juggernaut with an anti-proton juggernaut array :D
Since the Terran Lex is one of my favorite ships I was hoping you'd compare it to this. Clearly the Lex, especially considering the price point, is a better ship and acquiring it does not involve surprise mechanics lol. Hopefully Deca will get the hint since very few of us ever get these lottery box ships and while I'm sure they generate income, if they would make them account wide unlocks they would make more. Thanks again and take care.
I love Temp seating. Kinetic Shearing III is way too much fun. Unfortunately, this ship can only run version I. But, I would have a lot of fun with it.
I will likely never see this ship, but your excellent comparison did remind me I still don't have the Lexington. Also, account-wide unlocks need to be included in the Lifetime subscription. Only way it makes sense business wise.
I do wish that they would split the delivery of the new ships. Throw some in the c store and some in the gambling boxes. I don’t buy lockbox keys off the store, so the only lockbox ships I’ll get are either from the exchange or the campaign event reward. Another good video, I do like the comparisons done on the spreadsheet as it gives a very clear view rather than jumping pages on the wiki or blog.
The 32nd century ship I really don’t like is the one that from what it looks like, is the flying wisdom tooth. From o e angle it looks like one of the designers had a trip to the dentist, looked at their xray, and said hey that gives me an idea
The Console on the Credence is a little bit similar or probably a universal version of the Enterprise J console that boosts power levels. Difference being one's locked to the Universe, Valkis, and Durgath. The other console isn't
Did they run out of material to complete the saucer or what? In other news, I spent 170,- in the current War Thunder sale (about the price of this single-character ship). Those 170,- got me three (3) top tier tanks, two (2) top tier planes, a ton of Gold (Zen, enough for another top tier vehicle) and several months of subscription with no gambling involved. Just for comparison if anyone needs some context on the incredibly idiotic monetization of Cryptic.
Sad times. People in 32. century are so poor they cant afford material to properly connect pars and even have to cut front of saucer to save materials.
Really not a fan of the floating bits of ship stuff we see from Discovery, would personally love to see a variant of this dreadnought, though, done in "proper" STO stylings (as in a ship made and used in the 2409-2411 time period of STO)
I’ve been sitting on a T6 Infinity Prize pack and I think this ship might give me reason to use it. I look forward to your stream on Tuesday to confirm if the console & trait are any good
I got it my first try. I just had a spare T6 box. lol (also have a extra Duder sitting in my bank. One of the better ships that does not need to much nuking to figure out. Of course I love my Duder and Universe class.
Fairly decent ship stat wise, hate the look of the 32c ships. Will I be gambling for it NO. If i was going to spend $150 i would get the Mudd's Disco Inferno Choicepack getting 4 acount-wide unlocked ship, 1 with a meta trait and fly the Constitution Miracle Worker Flight Deck Carrier which is very similar to this ship.
Thanks for the video, I love the look of the ship but won’t be picking it up. I wish Discovery ships were in the c store. I would’ve happily bought a regular pack of them, but no they’re all locked in the stupid lock boxes… sigh
They know no one will ever pay for the same ship for multiple toons. But I think people would pay for a token like item to unlock a ship for your whole account. They could make money off that if they implemented an account wide unlike for premium ships.
I just don't bother with lockbox stuff anymore. And I despise the whole floating ship pieces aesthetic. And I am not one of those fanatical DPS chasers. So there is nothing here that would make me want to get this ship.
Infinity Lock Box ship automatically puts this ship in a big negative light to me. The ship model and stats are just fine, but don't merit the stupid expenses for a single character unlock. Cryptic is fading to DECA clinging to their obsolete Lockbox / Promo Pack individual character releases. There's so many ships they've released this way that never rated such expenses. They should have been C-Store buys, even before Cryptic ever did the Mudd's Bundle and Legendary Pack releases. Normally if the devs of a game that I've played long that have to hand the reigns over to someone else, I'd feel bad about. But the way Cryptic has done business with us over the years? Nah man. I don't feel bad about the DECA transition. At. All. EDIT: The end of your video asking for Cryptic to have stats on the news page for the ship console + starship trait is another example of Cryptic's refusal of change for the better over the years. This has been issue going on for ages. But they sure as hell will keep copy & pasting old news pages for new ones, complete with errors and mentioning of stuff that isn't happening anymore. Like I said, I have no pity about the reigns getting handed over to DECA.
Hi Spencer. Is there any way I can increase max aux. Power network gives 5 and batteries don't increase max. Google search isn't no help. I can ask in discord if u prefer discord for assists?
Override Subsystem Safeties, Enhanced Induction Coils, Eng Captain using their EPS thingy on you No large permanent aux buff like weapon power has with isomags, but there are some temporary buffs there.
The monetization in this game is, as everyone knows, just wildly beyond the actual reach of the game. Elden Ring DLC vs. 1 ship on STO, lol. To be fair though, I try to get Miracle Workers when I can, too, this makes sense. My fear is that MW will be replaced by something else next year.
Another 32nd century abomination that I have no interest in. Give us a Legendary Neg'var FD carrier already only kdf flagship in the shows that doesn't have a legendary variant yet, and the current t6 is too weak to be called klingon.
Oh golly, another shattered looking ship. Yay. Because they are so popular they far outnumber all STO style ships around every starbase.... on opposite day. STO needs New leadership, owners, ART DIRECTER, priorities, all talent, direction,.... can you get a refund on Lifetime Membership after 5K+ hours?
So tired of the gamble box style cryptic takes. Not a fan of the ship design either so i will not be gambling on this one and I dont see anything game changing on this ship.
Exactly, why do they all look like Forerunner ships from Halo. That’s all Disco and Picard S1 have done is take ideas from other sci-fi shows or games.
