I worked in credit card department and most importantly thing I learned from there is that never use a credit card.

CC isn't a trap. It is perhaps the best thing WHEN USED CORRECTLY. I have 3 CCs and they are an absolute life saver at times. But the ONLY thing that needs to be taken care of, is USE RESPONSIBLY. If we do that, there can be nothing better than a CC. Free airport lounges, free movie tickets, free air-miles, cashbacks, heavy discounts and what not.

This is why I haven't applied for Credit card yet + I don't buy unnecessary things and understand the difference between what I want vs what I actually need.

In short, use wisely and pay off your debt regularly. And yes, use it only when you have regular income, otherwise stay away from it.

Credit cards are for those who can maintain the card. (It doesn't matter which level) I am using it, but never forget the billing date . So my credit score is too good. I bought a lot of products on EMI, but on time to time pay.

I'm using credit card to pay off my day to day expenses only. And I remember the repayment dates and its been awesome experience of earning extra reward.

I have 7 CC, but I use it as a debit card, if used correctly it can be very beneficial, some of my cards that come with theft insurance, I get free long Jesus discounts on certain brands and a lot more. The most important thing I keep in my mind is it is a debit card so I spend the amount that is available on my bank account. And that's how I keep myself safe from these credit card loops.

Credit card accha hai bas ye do option yaad rakho :- 1. card ko auto pay par laga do toh aisi late payment wali situation nhi aayegi 2. uska use utna he karo jitna account main balance ho.

I use credit card regularly, i get lots of discount in sale, but i smartly use it so i have no problem in using it.

By remembering these things you will get cashback and your credit score or cibil score will definitely improve. I have a very simple theory of using a credit card. Use only when you are getting a discount or cashback point. Pay it back completely (no minimum payment bs) on the same day. That's it.

If you pay the minimum due amount, the bank will not charge late fee payment for the bill in the next billing cycle, however, they will charge you interest for the balance amount other than the minimum due amount. So, it's always recommended to pay the full outstanding amount . Use it wisely, I've been using it for the past 10 years and it's awesome. Little knowledge is a dangerous thing and this also applies with credit cards

I am working in a credit card company and yes interest rates are the reason people are unable to pay and use it at weird places! Huge transactions. And cash advance charges, annual fees etc etc! Don’t get it if you cannot pay off every balance in full!

I believe it's all about discipline.. 1st proper knowledge is important n 2nd if u use it in a correct way it's of great benefits..i regularly receive cashbacks on my cc ..flight vouchers, lounge access, better CIBIL score, which majority of debit cards lack. But it's true tht don't get trap in the vicious cycle.

I wish to disagree as i bought the Amazon ICICI credit card without any account with them till 2028. I got a 60k limit. I bought an iPhone 12 64 for 53,999 in Jan 2022 with 24 month EMI of 2600 pm. The iPhone cost back then was 61,000. I have got it for same amount with interest on the card. I am able to buy stuff on this and pay off keeping my actual bank account safe. It’s a win win situation for me.

I got a credit card of limit 40k, it was first time so I shopped a lot around 35k from the limit. I didnt knew the system of minimum payment due and ended up paying above 1 lakh in next 2 years for late payment and penalties. however, I ended all dues and broke credit card and promised myself to stay away from any type of debts or loans in future.

हैलो सर. मैं २ साल से एचडीएफसी बैंक का क्रेडिट कार्ड इस्तेमाल करता हु। अभितक एक भी पेमेंट मिस नहीं किया। और सबसे पहली बात अगर कोई भी ऑप्शन नहीं है तभी मैं क्रेडिट कार्ड का इस्तेमाल करता हु एकदम लास्ट ऑप्शन क्रेडिट कार्ड है। टाइम टू टाइम पेमेंट करता हु तो एक्स्ट्रा पे नही करना पड़ता। और मैं अधिकतर पेट्रोल डालने के लिए ही इस्तेमाल करता हु वो भी अगर पैसे नही हो तो। जैसे के आपने कहा, क्रेडिट कार्ड अगर आप ध्यान से इस्तेमाल करोगे तो कोई परेशानी नहीं वरना आप को बर्बाद होने से कोई नहीं बचा सकता।😐

I have a different bank credit card. My salary is around 36k and I use my credit card to pay up my bills never missed any payment, at a sudden I get a call from the bank they are increasing my limit, credit card even gives me a kind of security in case of any emergency. 1 Never use limit exceeding 30 percent your salary. 2 They want you to miss the payment date but never miss. Keep a track and pay as soon as the salary is credited. 3 Avoid taking loans from the back account the interest will be around 36% annually. 4 Always try to use the free tier of credit card. 5 Always keep healthy relationship between bank and you.

I am using it since 2017, and never defaulted. It is one of the best things if you use wisely. Also, It is no cost emi is half way there. They will charge you interest. But Amazon/Flipkart whoever you are dealing with will reduce the price of the product appropriately considering the interest you will be paying for 3/6/9 months.
