If you have high body heat or your sweat a lot. CDNIM is perfect for that. I spray it on at 9am and do my night run around 10pm and i get whiffs of it and it smells great
I've never smelled aventus. I honestly can't afford it. But I personally love the smell of cdim. I like it better than alot of my more expensive fragrances. It's just a great smelling cologne. Definitely a staple in my collection. And honestly with all the talk about Aventus having drastically different smells based on the batch I don't think I'd want to buy it if I could afford it. I buy a $28 bottle of armaf if it's a dud I'll toss it but the bottle I have produced 5/19 is exceptional. Bad opening. It smells like pine sol upon spraying but after 5 minutes it starts coming to life and just gets better as it drys down. I love it
Yeah, I can completely understand that too. The batch variance can be pretty worrying especially at such a steep investment. Paul doesn't mind this so much but I'm just as happy as you with my bottle of CDNIM. Best, CP
On the opening to my nose, aventus smells more luxurious and smooth. The dry down smells about the same, I can tell, most people won’t know I think. Great vid
I love to spray my CDNIM after a shave with tobs grapefruit and Gillette cool wave aftershave. It is by far my most complimented fragrance. I can’t justify the cost of creed in our family budget, maybe some day I’ll get a decant but in the mean time, I’m smelling and feeling great with CDNIM.
Here is my experience: I owns over 50 fragrances; many monsters! (GIT is my strongest compliment getter from Creed).....Of ALL my great scents, many attention grabbers. Short story is: Armaf CDNI is hands down, no contest, the highest and most consistent compliment getter in my camp. No contest. What's frustrating (I love my collection), is I rarely wear anything else anymore. Its a monster!...these two guys here were fair, and I imagine them both (after finishing this review) kicking their feet up on the desk, pouring a nice scotch and lighting a good cigar; har-umphing "well, that was good"
😂 you're not far from the truth there! Much appreciated on the feedback, it was a surprisingly tough video to do. Fortunately, we both have different opinions but found common ground on their usage.
@@CroElectroStile the latest one i have is the black cap...(the other one is women's version i think...I've only owned the Black one...first UAE, now France made) . ...it's perfect. ..no risk on blind buy IMO
Bespoke Unit trust me brother I can write a book about the compliments I got from club de nuit this thing is amazing just ignore the opening and give it 15 mins it’s 🔥 plus it performs better all I can say is thanks to creed for coming up wit the scent and armaf doing it better
Bought CDNIM first. Good frag. Bought a sample of Creed aventus just to compare: not the same. Aventus is a way better smell from the beginning to te the end. Dont know why people compare them so easily: yes it's a clown but quality is not the same.
I have both a 2018 creed Aventus and 2018 CDNIM, they are barely distinguishable in the air and I get far better performance from CDNIM and more compliments. My Aventus was bought from house of Fraser and the new 100ml bottles are notoriously weaker than the vintage batches. In comparison to the old creed aventus, CDNIM doesn't compare. Current formulations, CDNIM is the winner for me.
Bespoke Unit just bought a second bottle and I still have (what I can approximate) 70-80% left of my current bottle. Need to stock up before they jack up the price again lol. Are you aware of a way where you can see through the bottle? I tried shining a torch but it didn't work.
Great video guys. It is great to own both. Cdnim can be synthetic up close, but the dry down bubble performance is magical. It's perfect working 12hr shifts in the hospital. Creed is for the days off and time with the lady, as it's more refined up close, and subtle. 2 sprays on the neck for both. I dont know how anyone can go beyond that with cdnim.
Thanks for a great review very comprehensive. I have a bottle of Aventus 100ml purchased around 5 years ago beautiful fragrance without a doubt. I then smelled CDNIM on a friend I asked him your wearing Aventus he said no CDNIM I asked the price I couldn't believe it as he had sprayed it on in the morning and it was still ultra strong late afternoon I immediately ordered 3 bottles. I tried it and then immediately ordered 8 more bottles as back in the day they were £25 a bottle. Your thinking WTF did I buy all those bottles. Simple I am never going to buy Aventus again. Plus I can use CDNIM freely now. I have 2017 bottles and they project like crazy. Compliments galore. To me Creed is now pure hype no way would I pay Creed price for a slightly more natural fragrance. And to be honest CDNIM projects more than my bottle of Creed.
@@CroElectroStile hi yes soon as I purchased 3 bottles initially and tried it I was blown away the retailer had 8 left so I went and purchased them all now safely stored away in my cellar. Lol like a fine wine maturing I've only gone through 1 bottle so have plenty left for the future. I wonder why they reformulated this masterpiece.
I have Aventus , Hacivat , CDNIM and L’Aventure. Take away the snobbery , CDNIM does smell great , I’m on my 4th bottle . I mix it with a little Demeter pineapple and it smells so nice
CDNIM is a lovely fragrance. I feel that it’s their own fragrance by itself. I mean Creed is Creed it’s just amazing but CDNIM can market their own brand because the lemon smell and Creed more of a pineapple. It is a French company so you know they put in effort towards their product. Great review fellas.
Brian Joyce Armaf is a UAE company, bottles are made either in Dubai & France. Some people say the French batches are better, less harsh opening note, but also weaker.
CDNIM is definitely the way to go, layer it with Demeter Pineapple if you want a juicy candied opening. For anyone worried about the 2018 batches I'm on my 3rd bottle (09/18 batch) & performance is on par to my previous bottles just with a smoother opening!
yung_chancellor You should never need more than 3. It was -24 C (-11 F) today & I've been without it for about 3 months, just got my newest bottle and went with 2 (front and back of the neck) sprays to play it safe before work with no issues. I went in at 3PM it's now 11PM and when I walked in the door my sister mentioned said she got a nice whiff of it. TL;DR - Less is more
So is the Creed better suited for special occasions when you dress better or can you wear it also on a daily base with casual clothing? Thanks for your response :) Greetings from Switzerland.
I just purchased Aventus a 2019 batch and returned it as it lasted 3-4 hours max then it was just skin smell with little vanilla. Got Club de nuit intense man and it lasts 8 hours with ease, it's not a smooth and refined as Creed but longevity with Club de nuit intense man wins me over.
I own two different Aventus batches (2017 and 2019) and it is MILES better than my bottle of CDNIM batch from 10/2019 Made in France. I am so upset with myself that I fell for all the hype.. CDNIM is ONLY lemon and little else, horrible cheap smelling stuff. It also does not last longer than 4 hours maximum on me, also absolutely NO pineapple note in there. Will never buy Armaf again. Tres Nuit is not much better..In the future I will rather save my money and stick to the real thing. I paid almost $60 in my country for CDNIM and $200 per bottle of Aventus brand new in the box.
I Fully Agree with u Bro I've noticed all of ARMAF fragrances have this very SYNTHETIC and almost weird smelling . I've tried both CLUB DE NUIT and TRES NUIT and BOTH ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE . I mean seriously disaster of a fragrance.
I have them both they basically the same just slightly different with both have strengths creed more truly, but to me CDNI have a better dry down depending on where you going as creed is winning on all other marks but the price. They both are powerful scents do don't over spray.
You should try l,aventure by al haramain, in my opinion smells better and last longer. They also make a green Irish tweed version, that is my signature scent and i no longer by creed.
I didn't get a point: I am a student, I don't have many occasion to wear suits or something (too) elegant. Would i be a fish out of water spraying CDNI? Does CDNI fits with a simple t-shirt? I really appreciated that type of review, more professional and detailed than other ones in this platform
Hi Nicce! Thanks for the kind words. I'd say that CDNIM might be just for you as a student! And honestly, I think it's fine when wearing a suit too (but don't tell Paul I said that!) Best, CP
I have both because I thought I’d lost my creed after moving house and I wasn’t in a rush to buy it again especially after hearing the new stuff was not so good. Anyway I recently bought this cheap copy to replace and then found my creed stuffed in shoe quite literally a few days later. I personally cannot tell the difference the cheapo maybe projects a tad bit more if I’m honest. Im not a snob or fooled by expense placebo or buyers remorse because I genuinely thought I’d lost my bottle of creed. Ive kind of gone off it anyway it smells a bit dated and dad in a suit now to me. Im liking the new bleu electrique for daytime and Dior Sauvage elixir for night. Im also liking molecular fragrances for formal occasions ambroxan, ISO E those types etc. It boils down to I wouldn’t buy creed again because its dated and I prefer others now and it smells exactly the same as the cheapo club stuff anyway.
Hey guys . I recently bought montblanc explorer. This is not a clone more of an impression. However, it's made me think about repurchasing cdnim... Never owned Aventus . Simply because of the price but I love the DNA. Great video guys.
Hi Jason, Sorry about the late response! Yes, I tried Explorer as soon as it came out and though, "damn, this smells so similar to Aventus! It's going to get a lot of hype!" I'm actually quite annoyed at myself for not jumping at it and grabbing a bottle to review before anyone else! Oh, well. We can't be on top of everything! Best, CP
MFK Gentle fluidity (big G small f) is the best, smoothest Aventus clone Ive smelled so far...Kurkdjians take on Aventus is better than the actual Aventus imo..and Atelier Musc Imperial is the closest to the original Aventus formulation Ive smelled but it doesnt have anywhere near the staying power of Aventus
Unfortunately this seems to be the case with many fragrances where, over time, the formulation is changed without the changes being noted anywhere by the manufacturer.
I go with 6 sprays, last all day with good sillage without being overpowering. The older (silver sprayer bottles) would of killed a small crowd if you applied 6 sprays. Current formulations you can be more generous.
Cloning🤔....Ford made first car but Mercedes is in the top of the game😉....If someone has a great idea that does not mean that he can make it work the best way. Exemple Pure Havane & Naxos. If Xerjoff never tried Pure Havane idea we wouldnt have Xerjoff Naxos. 🤷♂️
I get what you're saying but it's comparing apples to oranges. There's making a similar product than someone else (like a different car or phone) that fulfils the same function and then there's copying the expression of an idea almost identically. In the music or film industry, you normally need to pay rights for that! Pure Havane and Naxos are similar, but I don't think Xerjoff tried to make an identical fragrance for a fraction of the price.
Who in their right mind would pay $489.50 with taxes included for 3.3 oz of creed Aventus that’s literally $149 an ounce, when you can buy CDNI for $36.20 With taxes included 3.6 oz, that’s $10.05 an once And it smells the same like that’s a no brainer
I agree!!! Aventus is wayyyyyyyy over priced!!! It’s a damn good smell - but it doesn’t hold its smell like it should when paying $500 plus for a bottle!
I'd argue that overpriced is relative. It's certainly a luxury fragrance and even within that category, there are many other fragrances that are even more exclusive and priced above the Aventus range.
I have a bottle Armaf Club De Nuit Intense Man of 07/2016 release (with a silver spray) , as well as a bottle of 01/2018 release ( with a black spray) and both of them are simply incomparable ! They are delicious ! I just sniff and sniff them every day and I can't take my nose off . It smells fantastic! Durability and plume are very good. Both are made in France. There is also a batch of 12/2018 and this is already very bad.... it smells like plastic.... you can immediately see that the fragrance was reformulated and changed and disfigured for the worse. I also tried a batch of 2020 release - the beginning of some kind of nuclear, very chemical, and after an hour the flavor disappears altogether. I've already read about the 2019 issues that this is a very bad smell. Unfortunately, this is it. We still hope to try the Limited Edition version. There are more positive reviews about it on various sources, but there are also negative ones. And as I understand it, it also all depends on the month of release of the bottle.
Synthetic molecules can smell identical to natural one's, the only chemical you can smell is alcohol. practically every fragrance these day's are of synthetic compound. I have a lot of sterling perfumes there all pretty bad and overly sweet , they use denatured halal alcohol which doesn't make the note's come though as well as western fragrance's. I certainly wouldn't buy a bottle of cdni there's better cheaper clone house's out there , I've recently purchased chatler's version of creed aventus hopefully that I'll be good.
*GET YOURSELF SOME CDNIM, MILESTONE, AND TRES NUIT - SAVE YOURSELF THE THOUSANDS YOU’D SPENT ON AVENTUS, MILLISEME IMPERIAL, AND GREEN IRISH TWEED - TAKE THE EXTRA MONEY AND PUT IT IN YOUR MORTGAGE AND STOCKS*
Just enjoy CDNIM for what it is. Success leaves clues. Armaf are doing nothing wrong. Reverse engineering a scent and making it pleasing and affordable isn’t cheating.
I enjoy both but alas i have heard the black atomiser CDNIM is far weaker than the silver top which is a shame so back to Aventus however i may not buy a bottle this year i'm waiting for Aventus 10th birthday batch i have a good feeling about it.
Creed is so much better but i can not justify paying 300+ on a bottle of Cologne. My mom would roll over in her grave. Now if i had the money to afford it i would.. but only making 30k a year i cant do that😂 i dont mind of clones either.
is funny, snubs wont take cant comprehend, error robot messages in their head , that CDNIM smelts the same and last forever for 30 bucks compared to 450.00 tag price creed, is so funny , I LOVE ARMAF!!
I find (as with the real Aventus) that I go nose blind within 10-15 minutes, it almost overwhelms your senses. With my May 2018 batches I still get comments 7 + hours later (5-6 sprays) although I can't smell a thing. Just bought another back-up bottle in case they jack up the price again or reformulate (again) or even worse, discontinue.
@@Bespokeunit The aventus "dna" is massively overrated, i think there's an element of hysteria about it (some people call these trends). On *cdnim* i think it is good value but not necessarily a good scent, smells like what it is imo
The clone business could be dead if a lot of niche fragrance houses start doing what Clive Chrisitian did with his fragrance collection called Addictive Arts, which is create a technology to make their fragrances that is exclusive to a fragrance line or particular fragrance, which makes it difficult to clone. Both designer and niche houses have benefited from cloning. Creed has cloned some designer fragrances and created high end versions of them. Designer house have done similar thing in reverse. Tom Ford released some lower end versions of his private blend fragrances so average people could afford them or at least get a taste of what his high end line would smell like.
@@OsAbliNgin911 I reckon all of Tom Ford's fragrances could be in the private blend line. The Problem is more general in nature imo. Almost all fragrances are over priced, so perfume houses create this clone market. Basically eating themselves, the nature of greed
I can get a 100 ml bottle of Creed Aventus for under 200 euro. So why spend at least 40 on a chemical dupe? For that price you might as well get two 10 ml decants of Aventus. It's not an everyday-scent anyway. I bought a 75 ml bottle 3 years ago, and it still has around 50 ml left. Not a stingy bastard, just wearing Aventus on those special days only.
That's a sad story. Aventus's scent is too amazing to limit yourself from experiencing it on a regular basis. You should wear it wherever and whenever. CDNIM is a carbon copy you can bath in as often as you like. LoL you can even use it as a room spray.. Cheers!
@@progressivelibertarianview8832 I can see what you mean. But I enjoy scents like Versace Pour Homme, Acqua di Gio Profumo and many other great designers as well. I own and love 6 Creeds, and every time I feel a day is special, I will put on some Creed. It amazes me every time. CDNIM actually smells decent after the first half hour. But if I want to buy something in the range of Aventus but a little cheaper, I will opt for Cedrat Boise. Sometimes you can get a 120 ml bottle for around 60 euro. Great deal!
The imitator is now arguably better than the innovator now. Vintage Aventus was a masterpiece. Current formulations are a shell of its former self. Still a great fragrance but not worth he money when clones are now doing the same if not a better job - I own both 2018 CDNIM and Aventus, CDNIM is more potent and once dried down, smells identical and just pushes out a lot more.
Creed and cdnim both smell horrible, smells like what an old man would wear, the birch and musk destroys the scent, I don't see how anyone could like creed or any of its clones
