That's why their comeback is going so well right now. Maybe they didn't reinvent the wheel, but they played their genre of rock excellently and its why so many people are still resonating with them. I truly hope they put out a new record
Human Clay is a gem. Its funny how people judge by only the top hits. The entire lp is filled with amazing compositions. In fact. The same goes with their first three albums. Just amazing. Got me through some of the best and worst times of my life. Creed always got a poor stigma just because of Scott's influence with Christianity in the songwriting. These albums are powerful and still hold up in every sense in the world we're living in. I love Creed...♥️
Yea the "wide open" song ended it for me. The first record I saw a lot of potential, but then it just felt like their balls fell off and they grew breasts.
@@gmr7494 Is there any particular part you're having trouble finding lessons on how to play? RU-vid barely existed when I learned this and there definitely weren't any guitar lessons on it so I wasn't able to learn it thru a tutorial. Mark has a video where he plays each part of this live version of the song, if you don't need to follow tabs. It's the same as the recorded version except the verse is slightly different, like how it's played in this video.
Why does EVERY SINGLE COMMENT on youtube where someone states that another is "UNDERRATTED" gets pushed to the top. STFU already. None of these people are underrated. Creed was one of the top selling bands in their era. Stop already.
@@gacyx6802 Scott, as far as his actual vocal skill, is actually very underrated. I grew up during their heyday, and he got endless amounts of hate for his vocal style, despite being in such a popular band. I think he's underrated, and apparently lots of other people agree with me. Next time you disagree with something as trivial as a musician's standing as regards their craft, maybe avoid being such a rude little imp as to tell someone else to "STFU", keyboard warrior.
Never gets old...Creed is on my gym playlist & will remain there. Tremonti is underrated on all of his riffs! One of the best lead guitarists of his era.
I don't think he's underrated, you would be hard pressed to find anyone that denies his elite skill and genius songwriting ability. He's very well respected.
I really like the way they played this song in this video, with the guitar solo at the beginning being played twice. I always felt the beginning was a bit rushed so this helps slow it down.
i love this band. And mark tremonti is one of my favorite guitarists. This wasn't bad at all actually. A little rushed, and no acoustics, but good performance. And vocals were spot on.
I’m back to watching their 3 AOL performances once a day. After hearing Scott Stapp during his “recent” online fundraiser, there’s no way they don’t try a reunion.
Wow! It has been years since I watched this video. The AutoTune was heavy in this. They played it sooooo fast. Looking forward to seeing Creed in about a month in Iowa. This is still one of my favorite songs to play on guitar - my 2009 PRS Tremonti SE.
Dear Lord, they freakin' murdered that, sooooo good. I love the interactions between Scott and Mark. Two old friends with ALOT of water under the bridge, but just digging each other and the great music that they are making.
Oh my god,this is so f***ing great! I am currently working on "higher", practiced it with me buddies tonight. I always loved this song, but this version is so.....perfect! I guess only a musician can understand this what I'm saying .. maybe. It is no studio gimmicks, it is no pyrotechniqe exploding on a stage, it is just Stapp Tremonti , Philips and Marshall performing as what they are: honest, hard working and crafted musicians.
@@jamesbarrick3403 I am so happy about the Creed memes. I loved them in high school. My first concert as a teenager without my parents. I never jumped on the hate bandwagon. Now thanks to the memes a new generation will be exposed to their greatness.
Everyone is focused on the singing, the melody, the tone, but some the lyrics. Does nobody get the experience he’s having with God and being out of his body while “asleep “. He’s being allowed to see, smell, touch, feel, what Heaven is like by Father’s permission. I think most folks have never experienced what he and a few others have…. And when I say a few, I mean thousands. But most of the 7 billion folks on our planet have not. Pray! Ask God to reveal these things to you my friends. It’s beyond measure, any drug….anything. Pure bliss and euphoria. You can’t find it here friends. Look up❤️🙏 God is definitely working through this man in more ways than music😄👍
