I really like this sit down style for full fragrance reviews and the stand up or desk reviews for hauls and first impressions. Feels like everything is getting it’s proper attention & focus.
Thanks Ross for your honest review as I sampled this few years back and it's very Nice and underappreciated. Creed Royal Water, Royal Oud and Spice & Wood are my personal fav Creeds.
Thanks for the review, I was asking on your Facebook post what your thoughts were and I got my answer. Appreciate you and all you do my ma dooooood! Cheers to ya!
I’m in my early 20s (24, but I’ve been enjoying Viking since I was 22) and I absolutely love it. It’s my second favorite Creed fragrance. Bois Du Portugal being my first favorite and it’s actually my favorite fragrance of all time!
The price for Creed fragrances have always turned me off. Well awhile back, while in Dillards, the guy had some decants of different Creeds (because they can order them for you). He let me smell a handful on test strips even though I told him I would NEVER spend that much on a scent. I tried Silver Mountain Water, Millesime Imperial, Original Santal, Royal *something*, Aventus, a woman's Creed, and Viking. They all smelt good, but Viking was the only one that made me consider dropping that kind of cash.
I have Aventus, and I have armaf clones of milesime imperial, silver mountain water and green irish tweed (after smelling and comparing actual samples). I went to Creed store last week thinking of testing Royal water and Viking. They were both great, but I ended up liking Tabarome the most!!
I have a partial coming from a trade next week. Can’t wait to get it. I tried it at Saks and I was really surprised by the scent. I haven’t smelled Old Spice in decades, but I don’t remember it smelling this good. Lol. Great review. Holla.
It took me some time for this to grow on me but I kept going back to it. Wife surprisingly complimented me on it asking if i was wearing love potion #9. She rarely compliments my fragrances. 100% masculine. Ages 30+. If you're into the compliment beasts that are more mass appealing this may not be for you but it does remind me of my barber, but its rich and different than the modern more feminine leaning mens scents. As it settles on skin I love it. But like he said, sample 1st but go through the vial before judging.
Word of the day: Soliloquy - an act of speaking one's thoughts aloud, when by oneself or regardless of any hearers. Great review, good sir!! This one is indeed a good one. Royal Oud is one that surprised me as well. I'm digging that one. Have a wonderful (safe) weekend!
Bro i love this fragrance, to me this can be a blind buy as crazy as this sounds at 300€, the projection is on point and last long time, the only problem of this fragrance is the price
Hey, I’m 15 and looking for a versatile scent that I can wear all year around that isn’t very synthetic but also not very popular for school. I like fresh and clean citrus scents that have a little bit of some aromatic notes in it.
Definitely one of my faves as well, Ross. I tried Alexandria's version, Seven Seas, a loooong time ago before I ever tried Viking and I liked it a ton but over time it got a bit polarizing. Anyways, I got a sample of the authentic Viking and I wasn't too crazy about it at first (as it didn't work on my skin well), but I tested it for a while and it worked much better over time. I always get reminded of Cartier's Roadster with the mint and vetiver combo in this, as they have a bit of a similar feel at times, but Viking is certainly more refined and classy. An awesome scent overall!
Every one is talking about Viking on RU-vid, going to Vegas in a couple of weeks plan to purchase my 1st Creed bottle but not sure which 1. SOTD Vancleef and Arpels NY
Ross, this is one of those fragrances that I find very pleasant smelling but not something that makes me go out of my way to get a full bottle for it. To be honest, it doesn't smell that luxurious to justify its price and no, it's not because I think it smells like Old Spice. In fact, I don't find many similarities between the two.
Thanks for the video. I can really recommend to test Vasame from Gutterridge. The Quality is amazing and personally i think it is besser than creed viking and way cheaper and longer lasting.
I really like viking as a scent but the performance are not good, maybe has some longevity but zero projection, i mean any average edt would have more core than this and it's a 250€ fragrance.. not worthy really
