As a black dude, I'm really getting tired of people misusing the term of racism on our behalf... At least understand if something is actually racist before you point it out. What's stupid is that there are some images she displayed that definitely make me pause. Not understanding the complexities of racism but claiming to be woke or and ally is just as bad as the others she claims as ignorant. I'd love to share this term with you that I learned being around a lot of white men in graduate school that learned about racism for the first time. But if it's anything like the example I saw in the video. That's the stuff that annoys me. My bottom line is that I don't need people to speak on my behalf, or determine what I should be offended by just because of my skin color.

She's almost 30 but she acts like a 14-year-old that just discovered social issues for the first time. I mean, the fact that she saw the whole situation with Kai and Omnia as "high-key racist" shows that she can't look past surface level features of everyone involved and is incapable of seeing any nuance. Agreed. I still watch her from time to time, but half of the time I end up just leaving part way through because she makes claims, and even if they're true, she just doesn't give any evidence or proof to back it up

Background noise, yep pretty much all commentary is like that for me. I hate silence and lack drama of my own, so I live vicariously through the drama of others.
Yeah, but if I'm honest her over-emotional arguments make even THAT difficult. I've tried watching her because I do that too, but there's just too little substance and too much emotional filler. As someone who listens to tea and commentary channels to fill time, she kinda lacks evidence. So it makes even listening to it as background noise difficult.

It makes it hard to listen and I feel myself physically cringe sometimes from listening, so I just found other commentary youtubers after that.
I love Creepshows content... But I never realized how little emotion and care I've invested into the topic she's talking about. I litterly just listen to her like a pod cast, look at her art, and go "ooh, that's nice."
Can we talk about how Shannon never (normally) shows evidence as well for her own opinions/the things shes talking about? If she was to talk about drama, she'll only speak, and she'll never show screenshots and/or anything to back up any claims.
Yeah, I really hate watching her videos sometimes bc it’s JUST her talking in a loud angry voice over her drawing (I have CPSTD so people talking in loud angry tones causes anxiety) She rarely adds pics, proof, or anything that makes watching the video interesting. this was actually one of the reasons i didn't subscribe to her tbh. I watched a couple of her videos out of curiosity for the topic but there's no proof no screenshot and her angry rants drain me out so quickly. at least tea channels, petty as they are, still provide screenshots or 'proof' of some sort

Something that bothers me too, this is so minor, but she is always talking about living in a shitty area, or her 10yr old laptop and everything. She says she doesn't plan on quitting her job, because YT is a side project. However she posts nearly every day, and has millions of views and almosf half a mil subs. I dont know how YT monetization works, but I guarantee she makes enough side money to upgrade to a newer laptop, or move out of her apparently slummy area with her husband. You don't have to make Pewdiepie money to live a better life.

But my gripe is she is always bringing it up in a victim-comedy way, like her self deprication. But part of my comment stands because she just recently hired an editor for her videos. She has learned from this- she mentioned it in one of her videos and said she wasn’t gunna link it again cause she realised how wrong it was to do last time. I understand it’s a concerning mistake- but she hAs learnt.
The thing with her “distributing c//p//“ is that she’s excluded. She’s protected because what she does is technically journalism even if she doesn’t claim to be a journalist. She gets leniency on having the images/distributing but censoring them on accounts of her whistleblowing. That being said she should not have linked them or made the account name public as now people who WILL use that art channel in a predatory way have knowledge on where to go.
I feel like creepshow doesn't make content for the sake of getting info out there, she makes content to just get things off her chest it feels like... And that's fine, to an extent, but it starts to feel petty pretty fast.
Well, to be fair, she's literally admitted to that being her primary motivation for making her videos. She's said a few times that she just makes videos when she feels like ranting about something into a mic. I suppose the conversation should then be about when that becomes irresponsible to do as a creator with such a large platform of people who hear her words and take them as facts to go harass other creators.

@@alleosussquirt8041 Yeah, I think it's a bit of a grey area because unlike a mainstream public figure or celebrity, you aren't really having to keep a certain "image" for yourself when you come online just to rant or talk about things. So on one hand, I don't think it's necessarily fair to hold independent content creators to that level of responsibility because they're just like us, commenting on things that catch their interest. The only difference is maybe 2-3 people will see this comment, but thousands will see their thoughts. I wouldn't want people to tell me I needed to act differently just because a crowd is watching. Yet on the other hand, I can see why a creator /should/ be a bit more careful and responsible with their words when they have so many people tuning in. At a certain point, your words start to directly affect other people, so... idk. I think there should be a moral and ethical obligation there not to outright slander or say anything that would cause direct harm. But at the same time like you said, the people in the audience need to be responsible too. No creator can fully control the mob when they go after someone, there's only so much the creator can do. Keemstar is a perfect example, lmao, that dude is... a whole category all on his own.
Shannon’s intros are usually waaaay too long and she goes into tangents so often I have legit forgotten what some of her videos are supposed to be about midway through. She rambles so much and with such forced emotion she has become a caricature of what I used to like about her. I don’t watch her much anymore but still subbed because I keep hoping she’ll improve :(
She goes on tangents because (and she has said this many many times before) the main reason why she has created her channel was to have an outlet to rant and get emotions off of her chest like a video diary format. That’s the whole point, to rant and go on tangents.
In some of her videos she has those titled segment/timestamp things (I really hope you know what I’m talking about cause I don’t know exactly what they’re called), and you can skip to where she gets to the actual topic of the video by fast forwarding to the next titled segment/timestamp thing. (I am so sorry for how confusing this comment is-)

For example, in this video he says he doesnt want to talk bad about creepshow and the irony here is that she is revealed to be a shit person now.
My biggest issue with her is when she “called out” an artist who was making vent art that definitely was problematic (but not illegal) and she called it “child p-n” but despite calling it that; she showed a censored version of it to her audience; she never needed to make this; she never NEEDED to show what she CALLED “child p-n” to her kid audience, giving links to the art as well; exposing children to p-nagraphic content. The way she dismissed this trauma victim and DIDNT even tell her fans to STOP saying that this person DESERVED THEIR CSA TRAUMA bc of what they drew made me feel disgusted. Ever since then she’s made me extremely uncomfortable as a victim myself it makes me feel like my trauma is only used when people want to shut down people coping in ways that are less...well, y’know, accepted by society. She’s just a girl who peaked in high school and is itching to feel that same adrenaline that she had all those years ago again.
Largely unrelated but I can't help but feel the need to point out that posting it online isn't a good way to cope and I feel it should be discouraged. You shouldn't be exposing strangers to your trauma and vulnerability like that, especially considering that two groups of people are gonna see it: people who find it hot (bad) and minors (bad). So for me it's less "not accepted by society" and more "not in anyone's best interest". Everyone needs to look out for themselves while also doing their bit to not lead others to harm. @@djrydell I’m very half and half about your opinion but I 100% respect it. I believe ALL adult content should be behind some sort of wall (ex. Private accounts, Patreon, and other pay per view sites like gumroad). I think that people who find something in fiction. That is morally wrong, attractive tend to be more morbidly attracted to it. I believe that if things stay fictional (art/writing only) then if someone is into it, that it’s not a bad thing. I use these methods to cope (in private because I am still a minor and I think it’s weird to have a minor openly talking about dark topics like that). My therapist has told me that the attraction and morbid sense of positive feelings I feel towards my art and writing are normal. Of course she doesn’t give me some long explanation so idk how to explain why the human brain works like that. I am very pro-fiction, pro-coping. Especially since fiction IS VERY healthy as a coping mechanism. People like to compare it to self harm but a therapist would never endorse s/h but every therapist I’ve seen has endorsed fiction (as long as the person is able to understand what is reality and what is fiction). If strawberrymilk or however it was spelled wanted to express their trauma freely then by all means they can, definitely it should’ve been maybe on a private account but I will never EVER stand for the harassment of people in such vile ways too..

I mean, posting it privately and not posting it at all are more in the same ballpark as opposed to posting it for everyone to see with like absolutely no protective measures (aside from sometimes a flimsy tag, but most times not even that) which is what I think should be discouraged. This kind of content, trauma related or otherwise, really should not be invading and taking over fandom spaces. And like, I was referring to it as a coping mechanism. Sharing your trauma online for everyone to see and take strange things away from is weird and not good for anyone, not when it's in like a detailed, graphic way that doesn't come with a warning, which I think we agree on. Talking about it is one thing. Maybe even writing or drawing an anecdotal thing, too. But then just writing fanfic of pre-established characters and posting it for validation is when things start to go down a slippery slope, I think if I went into it my comment would get nuked lol. Coping mechanisms are there to help people move on, so if you feel the need to write or draw this sort of thing, that's completely understandable. Posting it publicly tho is different and opens the door to all kinds of bad things. I'm sure your therapist has told you also that while using these things as crutches now is one thing, it's not meant to be forever. Unhealthy fascinations can and do occur if all you do is stew in that kind of content, and at that point that's not coping. I'm totally not saying you would, BUT that's I guess what leads to 30 year old mothers thinking there's absolutely nothing wrong with writing underage fanfic where awful things happen for everyone to read, and should face absolutely no criticism for it. Otherwise known as the Schrodinger's cat mentality. It's one of the problems I have with some RU-vidrs such as Creepshow Art, Cosmonaut Variety Hour, Cinema Sins, and Def Noodles. They initially try to pass of a false claim as serious and true. But when people criticize their claim, they then try to deflect any criticism towards their points by saying "its just comedy" or "I'm just playing a character."

I tried to like Creepshow, but her overly done self-deprecation, constant use of 'literally and other words that make me want to rip my hair out and honestly, her voice annoys me. I tried, but I end up getting annoyed midway through videos and jump ship. There's other tea channels where I enjoy their voice and content, so I'm passing on her.

She's really falling down the rabbit hole of cliche RU-vidr that's fallen from grace. 1. Uses emotional tactics and manipulation to deflect an argument and brings up her bad experiences as much as possible. 2. Thank you for this Just Stop, we honestly didn’t think the doc would end up causing this, but if In the end it exposes just how dishonest Creepshow has been about this Peaches situation, it’ll be worth it. I’m just so sad as someone who used to love Shannon, but over and over, she makes false and defaming claims about people (sometimes claiming they did illegal things) and then never addresses it or says anything until a video calling her out gets enough likes and exposure for her to feel like she needs to, and even then I found her last apology (in response to Tobis video on her) extremely lackluster and it doesn’t seems like she’s improved at all given all this recent drama. I just want her to acknowledge anything about how many terrible claims she has spread to her audience.
It's important to realize that many other channels like hers (this entire community) can, will and has done the same things she did. Lots of people could have been hurt but we don't know because for a community that likes digging up dirt, they love lies.
shannon's content seems ok unless u actually know what she's talking about, then it's painfully obvious how wrong and misinformed she is. i haven't trusted her since her vids on stwawbewymilk and the "cartoon network cannibal".

Creepshow Art carried herself for a while as a commentary channel that was balls to the walls real and without a filter, and while that can make for entertaining content, It’s not always the best approach at least for me personally as it became super overwhelming; it was less about the facts and more driven by emotion, which is a human mistake sure, but a mistake none the less that has persisted through all of her content for a while now. I was never into ‘tea’ drama, but she always had interesting or potentially informative video topics, which would deescalate into a grown woman (using one her most common argumentative points here) screeching into the mic over anything as small as a comment she disagrees with mildly. She just has this super combative me against the world mentality that you think would look WacKy n’ CoOl in practice but in reality feels so forced and so out of the realm of rationality that it’s painful to witness first hand. She has a reason to act out on harsher topics sometimes (though you could always just edit it out honestly) but on lighter much more silly topics, I’m not in the mood to be screamed at. That could just be me. She had potential but I don’t think she knows what to do with her platform but hold this weird morally superior high ground.
What angered me is that she was talking about an artist who would draw minor OC to cope with their child abuse and the crazy lad posted the link to their Twitter. Which is messed up given many teens and so on see Shannon and Stan her. Heck she was inviting for people to report them but she should’ve known better because people like bullying more than reporting
I stopped watching Creepshow a long time ago. Her shift from art-related content to the dumpster dive of drama that she's taken part in is what pounded the nail in the coffin for me. I can't stand it when commentators take on content like this and look at the bare minimum of evidence without looking deeper into the situation. It drives me crazy, especially with the level of how lazy her editing is (the editing isn't explicitly an issue, but it leaves very little to watch considering the commentary is underbaked a majority of the time). I'll just stick with Ponder Sprocket, Junkie, and you JS, so no skin of my ass. If she doesn't want to change her content, it's her choice.
I will just give you a heads up on this one, Junkie is supposedly taking Creepshow's side on this one, and while I don't specifically have the proof of it, I don't doubt it. He's been especially shitty to MangaKamen, when Kamen tried to clear shit up with him, Junkie acted like a child when all he was being asked to do was to talk things out. It has to do with the drama between the two because Kamen decided to defend Peaches, as well as the stuff that happened with Kai and Omnia, despite the fact he apologized for them, so honestly Junkie isn't exactly a good resource for something like this at the moment either, because he's made it very clear that all he wants to do is stick his fingers in his ears and ignore those around him. @@bodypillowwaifu9941 it was less a matter of the drama, but more the general content. I couldn't give less of a shit about the Peaches drama, since it seems to be a more personal one that's been blown way out of proportion. Junkie not looking deep into things and sticking to his guns and using that preconceived notion to be a dick to Kamen is a problem, though I can't say I don't blame him considering the video he chose to be apart of. It's incredibly immature, which, for Junkie's age, is a problem, but one he can learn from. Not everyone is perfect and an individual's personal scuffles aren't my business, that is until it bleeds into their work.
What I hate is...how she attacked that one girl (I forget her name) whose father is a cult leader, (rather that is true or not) like she was part of his group. She disowned her father! She was not related to this at all but being his blood. That was really scummy. And if his daughter did reach out to him, she can. The is no law saying you can't talk to a family member who is a bad person (rather in jail or not) that would now deem you just as bad...but it seems lately there is...by the masses themself and not the actual law.

She definitely deserved the backlash for what went down with her makeup line and the lying involved with that, but whatever issues she has with her dad did not need to be brought up to try to prove her being a bad person, since it had nothing to do with the issue at hand.
Creepshow recently deleted her entire community tab by "deleting" her channel, making it look like some kind of glitch and then magically have it come back with no community tab. She's pathetic.
Update to that, she then made a new unrelated community post, said that she was able to see the other posts they’re just gone to us (someone asked for screenshots of that...nothing), and people in the comments of that started calling her out for the same stuff. Then, a day or two ago, it happened AGAIN, with her thumbnail and background images going and the one community post going the next day. Not tryna be a conspiracy theorist buuuut.... If this is a hacker, it certainly is a hacker that is conveniently not going after anything that makes her money and is only going after aesthetics and -coincidentally- the one place where her fans might see the criticism against her.
Creep show used to be a genuine person, now she’s become a vitriolic emotional person. I guess it’s because she joined the RU-vid mafia *cough cough* I mean commentary community
what always seemed weird to me about the peaches situation was that it seemed like Shannon was trying to cancel someone over her own personal drama. like, she had a dispute with one of her personal friends and tried to cancel said friend over it. it never made sense to me why that would be a reason to like, make entire videos shit talking peaches and trying to cancel her
I agree, this whole drama should be just between them and not be broadcasted to the entire world. Especially since Shannon didn't really provide much evidence just her word. Even then the way she called out Peaches really bothers me too. Like can I imagine if someone who's very close to me really wrong me I would still want to reconcile and want both of us at a better place. Shannon doesn't have the "I'm not mad just disappointed" attitude. She's more just.... bitter and unforgiving. I just wondering what really happened between the two. They both seem like they have trouble with controlling their emotions.
I think it's SO IMPORTANT that Just Stop specifies that he doesn't think they're bad people, he just thinks they made poor decisions / mistakes. We honestly need more commentary channels that are respectful with the topics / people being talked about. (Ofc some people don't deserve that and I totally understand in that case.)
Definitely Nostalgia Critic and Antoons, my favorite villian. Turkey Tom is also a great antagonists along with rabid haters, rabid fans, mean creators (eg. Dan Schneider) and some greedy jerk companies.
I was never a fan of her, I genuinely didn’t like her commentary. It took so long for her to get to the topic because she would take minutes for her to use the same insults over and over. It was annoying
Thats what always bothered me so much. She constantly self-insults, and to a point we all do that but she does it nonstop, and that is such an unhealthy mindset tonhave and promote. There's a lime between self deprication for humor and toxic mindset. Also the "a literal human woman" or "this literal, grown ass 32 yr old man" etc was always really annoying and not funny to me lol. Those are just my personal annoyances though.

It confuses me how channels like Creepshow Art get so popular. She acts like a high school drama queen despite being almost 30 years old. She spreads lies and misinformation about people like Hopeless Peaches, MangaKamen, and others. She accuses people of being P3dophiles or sharing CP based on little to no evidence. Yet despite all of this, she still has almost 500K subscribers and gets over 100K views per video.
most of her subscribers and viewers don't listen to a word she says. I use her videos as background noise, sometimes I catch myself listening to her for a second and then immediately regret it. If you read her comments, you can actually tell that nobody gave a shit about her rambling and the comments are absolutely random.
i stopped watching CreepyShow once she accused those drag queens of sharing CP of that youtuber when that wasn't even close to the case. the she tried to deny it on twitter and someone had to send her the clip of her LITERALLY SAYING IT. Shes a hypocrite.
I sometimes get really uncomfortable when out of the blue she mentions traumatizing stories or people that have done terrible things to her out of nowhere when she’s talking about something completely different, I’m always worried whether she’s trying to win my sympathy or not, I feel like I have no idea what her intentions are.
For the people who keep saying Just Stop is a hypocrite for saying he doesn't like the Tea Spilling community, he legit just said it's the same as what he does with more "Yassss queens" thrown in, like come on. Any rational person can be turned off by someone screaming "Yassss queens."
the background noise comment is spot on for sure. i used to really enjoy her content but her recent stuff makes me unbearably bored and i never watch it for more than five minutes even if i'm interested in the topic. she has a lot of potential as a creator but definitely relies heavily on her emotions and tends to lack evidence imo. she's said before that she's open to criticism so i hope she takes this video well. love your content, keep up the good work :)
Her art got too repetitive for me. You can only draw cartoonish women's head and shoulders with different hairstyles over and over for so long before people don't want to watch anymore.

@@coffintears5821 Well as an artist myself, we just draw whatever makes us happy or what we draw well. We don't really make art for other people unless it is a commissioned piece. I understand how that can be boring though.

@@venusharuna4187 I watched the video, this is my personal opinion based on what I've seen of her. Devaluing the claim that something or someone is racist/homophobic etc by throwing it at everything and everyone, just because you're mad or you don't like them seems pretty counterproductive to me if you actually do care about those things.
She is a CP distributor as well, and when people tried to make her aware and get her to stop, she just ignored everyone and called THEM (including CSA survivors) "p*do supporters". And that was quite some time ago, and she was able to just sweep it under the rug. She is just terrible.
I remember I use to like her content after awhile she got more and more annoying and it just started becoming more unbearable. The breaking point was probably her first apology video from months ago.

Probably because the prefrontal cortex stops fully developing at age 25, and at almost 30, there's an expected level of maturity especially when handling the topic of racism, and just casually throwing the term racist around like it's light shit. There's a vast difference between just casually calling someone a racist (Something far more damaging and serious.) and calling someone immature because of their misuse of a term. They aren't comparable, stop acting like they are.
I used to like Creepshow’s old videos because they were more story time type stuff rather than drama. I can’t stand her now, she just seems to be angry or irritated constantly and I can’t deal with that.
Exactly why I stopped watching. She bludgeons people over every mistake she makes but when the times comes for her to actually be the one who's criticized she acts like a victims says some half assed "I'll do better but I have trauma" and then continues doing the exact same thing.
@Erik Swanson the thing is, if you keep holding onto trauma and using it as an excuse, you're never gonna get over it. Sure, trauma is hard to get over, it can be so easy to relapse back, but you have to at least try to say "no, I'm not going to let this thing take over me anymore" If you have trauma, it's ok to back away from things that trigger it, but when it starts affecting you so much you refuse to function normally, that's when you need to cry out and work to make it stop. It's not good to make trauma an excuse or shield, but you can use it as a stepping stone to becoming a better person
i dont want to sound rude, but i dont like her, because she said in a video, that she doesnt like it when youtubers make money of other youtubers, while she is basicaly making money the same way? by talking about other people ? just knowing that / realizing that made me dislike her
I'm really damn disappointed in creepshow isn't responding to any of this and yet I'm completely unsurprised. When Tobi and others criticised her she missed the point pretty badly and made an apology video where her excuse was "I don't want to go back to the way I was because I was homeless" which wasn't their point, at all. And the fact she's ignored this video proves that she's not learned anything at all. Which angers me, I do watch her as background noise but I can't keep missing these flaws in her videos and it makes it harder to watch them.
