God, the thought of Fox stranded in some horrifying dimension until the end of his life with no one left to keep the worst from happening makes my skin crawl.

One theory I've read was that Fox's windows break after crashing into the bird, leaking out breathable air, causing him to hallucinate and drift off in space until he dies.

Sometimes when there's an ending where you HAVE to reset. It makes me feel like I didn't finish the game and the big bad is still out there causing havoc. The silence makes it all the worse.

I want to know what happens when all your teammates are dead and you beat the game. I'm going to guess that Fox says "All ships report in." and just silence.

Forget the Lylat System, there's every chance that the other members of the Star Fox team somehow pulled the job off on their own. Fox is the doomed one here. Fox is doomed to just fly forever, in a timeless dimension until he's either shot down or runs out of fuel. Heck, you'd think losing Peppy or one of the others would be a bad enough ending on its own. But no, they decided to create something that resembles an acid trip, with the only cure to your eyes being to win a jackpot on a floating slot machine.

Hey Git! You should play Star Fox 2 and review that creepy bad ending next. Basically, Fox can let Corneria fall and that in itself is a bad ending. Granted, it could be considered a game over but I would think that is still an acceptation.

It's so weird seeing anybody talk about the original SNES Star Fox, everyone's focus is always either on 2, 64, or Assault. I kinda wish later games had levels like Out of this Dimension, it'd be less aggravating since you could actually save and not have to restart the entire game. As much as everyone hates Command, it also had some endings that made you feel pretty terrible as well, but I don't think anything compares to "Corneria fell". That one is almost always entirely your fault for letting it happen, and the game makes sure you know that

Endings where you need to turn off the console are a little scary, it's like the game has taken control of your console and the characters are breaking the 4th wall in a creepy way.

Is it weird that I'm kinda curious what Fox's dialogue would be if everyone in the crew died except for him?

Whenever you have to reset your system because of a Game Over screen, it really stresses " You failed, and now the only way to start again is to start all over!"

Back in the day I remember doing a run where I let all the wing-men die just to see how the final team-check would play out. I only did it once. Fox already witnessed his team falling. He knew he stood alone before even facing Andross. His futile team check feels like he's having a mental break. The battle is won; all that is left is to go home and celebrate with his team... oh... right... It's OK Fox, I'm sure there was nothing you could have done... right?

Have you heard of the unrealesed star fox2? That game has several creepy game overs. The one that gets me is when fox and the others fail to protect corneria.

The one creepy thing about the “out of this dimension” level is you get lost and stuck there forever with no way back or just dying

I find it to be more like a cool easter egg than a Creepy bad ending tbh

I actually have some respect for Slippy because he is smart and is a genius inventor. The problem though is because he is a technician he has no experience in air based combat so he ends up always getting in trouble. I don't know what Fox was thinking having Slippy actually be a wingman. He is a technician not an air fighter. That's like having a school janitor operating a locomotive.

There's also the game over cutscene from the unreleased Star Fox 2, which actually shows Andross destroying Corneria if you fail to protect it.

When I played this, I discovered the meaning behind the stage... A pilot that is suffering from PTSD...

Yeah remember when Andross shot sandwiches at you? Good times. Also yeah Fox is stuck in another dimension. He keeps dying and dying. The others in the Star Fox crew try to defeat andross but cannot. Also before the level, instead of good luck, I hear goodbye.

I've also always hated the endless "The End" screens, I wonder why they were ever made in the first place.

Oh my god! Peppy's death screech is terrifying. It's like he screams in pain then causally is like "I'm dead." before exploding. I never noticed that before because I'm usually really good at protect my people, so I haven't seen any of them die since I was a kid.

I’m so happy that the Secret Boss was just a Slot Machine, because after entering “Out of this Dimension” I thought that there was going to be something far creepier.

You know? I have a theory on this. Fox is young and cute! But something is wrong.... #1 He has never slept. Making him hallucinate with the drugs pilots take. #2 Stress for the up coming battles with Also the slot machine maybe is him gambling to lose his stress.. Also him hitting the 2nd meteor and flying into the bird is him hallucinating. This "Out of this Dimension" level is pretty weird.

I like that you make us keep wondering what will happen next when you suddenly put questions up for a few seconds. It makes us wonder what in the world would happen next, building up suspense, and making us feel a bit more spooked.

The explenation is that fox took a drug to stay awake during the mission and he was hallucinating the reason why no one warns you, you chase it then your crew fight andross but they all die , when you defeat the level you cant escape becuase your lost in outer space

I find those kinds of endings creepy even with the silence, but when I was a kid I also didn't like the extras on dvd menus. Some animated movies had like little quiz things and it's just silence until you do something.

The level 3 asteroid belt alternate reality level is a little known secret, such as the black hole.

Creepy thing is, in star fox Zero, there is this level (Forgot the name) kinda like Out of this dimension concept wise. In it, general Pepper said that Fox's father disappeared there.

Ahh... so theres more games with endless game over's. I finished Super Mario RPG a couple months ago and wondered why it wouldnt end.

Eternal end screen games, especially the ones with battery save points, exist in a perpetual state of nearly completed. They're only completed while you're looking at the end screen. Turn the power off and the game only knows about your last save point. I have a bunch of games in a box in the basement with nearly-complete games, but no complete games. Every time you turn on the first super mario game, all the Nintendo knows is it's the 1980s, the princess has just been kidnapped, and Mario is going after her for the first time ever.

Friend, I have a suggestion of one terrible bad ending (but kinda of cool too). In the game Vandal Hearts 2, that is a part in the game where the main hero (Joshua) will be asked about his "dream", answer " I want to be the king". Much later on, when you find your love (Adele) and "make excuses" she will due later (either by suicide or killed by your hands), you also have to let both your childhood friends die, then it is done......At the bad ending, you will be Emperor Joshua of Natra, a cold blood, ruthless, mass assassin ruler who conquered a whole continent and bring peace back to the people (those who lived....). You became a conqueror, unmatched in history but hatred by most, feared by many, and alone in the darkness. At the end, you will survive an assassination attempt, them you see the spirit of Adele looking at you with sadness, then the text comes telling that you lived to very old age but was killed by a relative, you died with a evil smile in your face, the dynasty you build lived for more 300 years at head of an unified continent. No one in RU-vid ever done a video with this ending (they only rush to the good one), but you look like the kind of people who enjoy seeing the bad side too, don t you? I would love to see it and I promises to like and share with everybody.
