I guess the aliens chose him because they were smart, but didnt realize the potential of entertainment, and by bringing it, they pay Joe back by giving him power, which feeds back into entertainment. Either that or the Aliens had taken a liking to Joe, who never had any specific and bold goal

Not gonna lie, I was expecting him to have a similar ending to those dumbasses in Twisted Metal 2 (the flying wish) but I'm glad that we got Joe as the leader of the aliens ending.

It makes sense. Everyone had desires of some kind, greed, a will to their own that involves putting others aside or putting others down in some way or another. Joe had none of those desires in him whatsoever, no greed, lust, wrath, nothing. He just wanted to have fun and be a radical cosmic surfboarder broseph. The one who lives life to the fullest just because he can is the ultimate victor.

Only the Pirate and Joe got the best endings because it was about the journey not the reward. Which the Aliens respected, while the others never thought their wishes through or much thought like Armstrong and his student (Armstrong never getting that it's better to uncover and correctly as best you can history, then to live it and forget that they were "SAVAGE TIMES" in our era FOR A REASON. And his student well, who's to say the Aliens killed him before putting his head in a jar and he's not alive and suffering a bad case of "I have no ability to talk or yell....But I must SCREAM"), hell the Environmentalists never bothered to think an outside source with the power to do something wouldn't have just took their likely "one sided" story of "corporate greed" as an excuse to condemn ALL of mankind starting with them to extinction as the two skeletons are implyes to be them. Doctor never figured that the Aliens would have been smarter then him as he did use them to get his Apocalypse and replant the earth off the ground and their right, looks do NOT signal a "perfect mate" as it's likely the "bimbo" assistant's weaker "inferior" genes would have overwhelmes his "perfect" genes, hence a "more appropriate mate". All in all I do enjoy game's with twist endings like this, especially when it kind of was foreshadowed in trusting a sick jerkass genius fuck like in the Twisted Metal series like Calypso who creates games of murder with the deaths of innocence just to amuse himself with the murder and killing just for him to twist the biggest murderer's wish to watch them in despair as all they fought for was for nothing, I think there were a few times where Calypso's own behavior backfired on him, but those game's that had it always had him back in charge for the next game sooo....

Actually Twisted Metal Lost Endings covered this, with Charles Kane who "just wanted a chance to drive again, one last time.", and well.. got it Calypso is so impressed by his desire to just play and his ruthlessness, that he goes ahead and makes him his personal chauffeur.

Kullen64 In another secret ending, the aliens wanted dolphins to be the chosen ones. But in this ending, I think the punchline is that the Team Earth faction wanted to use the pods to destroy the exploiters to save the environment... The aliens did just that.

At the time they probably just sampled the voice using a sampler device, then played it back by pressing a bunch of keys simultaneously. This would have played back the voice at different sample rates, and different pitches, which would have modulated it (giving it the chorus effect). But, you can't really do that on Audacity easily, though if you were using Pro-Tools/Logic it would be very easy to do.
