The Metroid series, perhaps THE quintessential Creepy Time Limits series; everywhere Samus goes, thing are liable to explode eventually.
I already covered all the 2D Metroid timed escapes in the previous episode, and now it's time to give each of the 3D games their chance to shine in each of their own episodes, beginning with the most obvious starting point, Metroid Prime 1...
Time limits. I don't know about anyone else, but they terrify me. I like to take my time when playing video games, enjoying the experience at my own pace. But the moment I'm told that I'm going to be working against a timer, I can't help panicking. I'm thrown out of my comfort zone, and even the easiest tasks become tough to accomplish. Sure, it's good to be thrown out of a loop from time to time, and there's nothing wrong with a variety of challenges, but I always want the scary timer section cleared as soon as possible and move onto something else a little tense. In this series, I take a look at timer sequences in games that got to me the most.
NOTE: In cases where bad endings and scary timers overlap, (Example: Bad ending requires a timer to run out) Creepy Bad Endings will win out, and the video will be a CBE video.
