How’s it going everyone?
This is Episode 2 of a multi part series. In this segment, I am building the base from basic 2X4 and 2X6 lumber. I added some 4” locking casters as well as a 9 port power strip for tool and charger access. Once the base was complete, I attached the top torsion box and the lower shelf. Basic butt joints for joinery and ease of disassembly and future upgrades.
Tools I use every day: Help support what I do by following the links below!

I also wanted to say I'm stealing your design! I like how you have omitted the internal stretchers by raising the entire saw up. It frees up interior space and makes a simple base for the saw to rest on with just gravity holding it down. This is a great improvement over the original.

Well thank you! If you email me, I am selling a PDF of the cut list and full instructional plans for this!

would it be possible to still get a PDF of the cut list for this table?

Yep, shoot me an email. I am bundling the cutlist and plans together for a low $ on my website.

CReeves Makes well, this is embarrassing, I feel like I should be able to find an email address here but I’m not sure.

Great design as always. The only change I'm making is not having a fence and just having a t track. You can have a block move to create a stop. Cuts out having to align it to the saws fence. Thanks!

Thank you! My new fence is going to be that way as well. 👍🏻

Hi thanks for your quick reply. I have read on some woodworking forums suggestions to make a mitre saw stand 40" plus high so that you don't have to bend over and its closer to your eyes. What do you think?

I personally like a taller bench. i am 6'2" and used to have 42" benches until I got my table saw (36") then I built everything to that height just for ease of outfeed assistance or large sheetgood support etc. If you can make it taller, go for it! You will be happy you did! I wish I could make my table saw taller. I could always build a base for it but its too late now.

Hi thanks for the quick reply. I noticed the front legs are attached to the ends and the back legs are attached to the sides. Why is that? Also on some woodworking forums some people are making mitre saw stands 40" plus tall so you don't have to bend over and the measurements are closer to your eyes. What are your thoughts on that?

The legs are set like that to act as a "stop" when you slide the bottom shelf in. I also think that it makes for a sturdier base having multi directional legs. The bench is very sturdy with no wobble at all.

Where did you get the CCM t-shirt?

Nice catch! I used to play pump events with some of them and they gave shirts at one of the events!

Nice work. Your hands are way to close to the blade on miter saw. They can kick just like any saw.

Hey Matthew! Thanks for the feedback. I agree that my hands are pretty close on this one. I have spent the last several months focusing on how I work in the shop and this is one of my areas. Its a comfort thing and even now, I cringed when I watched some of these shots. Thanks for pointing that out, because that keeps it fresh in my head. When you get comfortable, you get lazy, right? Thanks again and I appreciate it.
