Hi Kevin, I bought a set of Limit Sensor 343RT with RJ-11 Sensor Breakout from your online shop a while back and I really love these things!!!! Right now I'm building a second machine and I cannot find sensors anymore. Do you still sell them? Thank you!
Yes, that should be fine. It can also be used to protect the connection (or the whole board for that matter) against moisture or other contaminants. If you need to remove the hot glue later, apply a small amount if Isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) to the edge the glue and peel back with a pair of tweezers. For permanent installation, I recommend securing the cable itself to your machine frame with a zip-tie cable mount or similar. You should never rely on an electrical connector as the primary or only means of mechanically securing a cable. Provide another means of strain relief.
