Creme Soda Marinated Ribs with a Creme Soda Glaze.
This is an easy rib recipe using Creme Soda for the marinade and Creme Soda for the glaze. Begin by marinating the ribs overnight in Creme Soda with two or three chopped jalapeno peppers. Remove the ribs the next day and lightly cover them with your favorite rub. I used Oklahoma Joe Rub (recipe listed below). Using apple or cherry wood, bring your smoker to 250 degrees F and maintain that temperature throughout your cook. I started to use the 3-2-1 method but I changed it to 3-1.5-1. I would recommend using a 3-1-1 method for pull-off the bone results. Spritz your ribs every 45 minutes or so with Creme Soda.
GLAZE:
1 to 2 cups Creme Soda, maybe a bit more
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup mustard
3 to 4 Tablespoons of honey.
Simmer over medium heat while continuously whisking until reduced to a thicker consistency (approximately 25 minutes).
Glaze the ribs after removing from the foil. Leave on the smoker for about another 30 minutes or so.
After pulling from the smoker, let them rest for twenty minutes before serving.
The taste and texture: EXCELLENT! Very juicy and tender. This recipe is a keeper!!!
-Oklahoma Joe’s Rib Rub-

Yesss!!! However, I originally wanted to use Towne Club brand, but wasn’t able to get the cream soda from my local supplier. Thank you for watching and commenting. Appreciate your support!

No wrap ribs personally I like the best,just spray with apple juice,and apple cider vineagar. Spray every hour and pull when bones are hanging out half a inch ,I do NOT like fall off the bone

Very interesting, sir. The gas station across the street from me stocks the Fago creme soda so will probably try this. If nothing else, use it for the glaze. I do like heavy smoke though, usually go half hickory and half mesquite. Thank you for the video

I dont have a smoker. Will they be just as good? Maybe use a liquid smoke?
@SmokinwithKasket
@SmokinwithKasket 3 года назад
Yvette Scavuzzo - All bbq enthusiasts would cringe on using liquid smoke. You can do them in your oven and place them on a grill with a few wood chips in a foil pan just before glazing. Try the oven. You’ll be happy even if you do not have a grill.

I cheat and use liquid smoke when it's minus 20 here in the winter.

Ok...I love your stuff. You teach me so much, but I gotta get this off my chest. Why are you blunting your awesome knives by cutting on cast iron? Now...you are a grand master to my feeble amature but just had to put that out there. No hate at all. Thanks for being here!

Hi there. Thank you sooo much for watching, commenting and subscribing. I really appreciate that!!! To answer your question - I have some very sharp and expensive butcher knives in the house that I would NEVER cut on a metal griddle top. This knife is an inexpensive one which I’ve had for so long I can’t even remember where it came from. Probably came with a knife set and wooden block my wife and I bought decades ago early in our marriage. Nonetheless, I drag it through a ceramic sharpener from time to time and it’s good as new. This knife is assigned to my backyard BBQ grills. Also, I don’t beat on it or really get crazy when cutting on the griddle top. But, as I said, I wouldn’t ever do this with my expensive knives. It’s my all around backyard utility knife. I’ve even cut rope and other odds and ends around the garage. This knife is great for cutting food while cooking on the griddle as well and I do that often. Think of it as my beater car. My new Dodge Ram parked in the driveway won’t be going two-tracking in the mud, even though it certainly could handle that with ease! Thanks for the awesome question. Appreciate your support. Stay safe and healthy!!!

@@SmokinwithKasket OMG SIR! YOU RESPONDED TO ME? Holy crap! But thank you so much for your reply. And yet again, NO HATE WHATSOEVER! I built my uds off of your videos, a few changes, but 90% your teaching. We don't like super heavy smoke here either, which is why I follow you. But I'm coming along. Lots of growing pains. I have a dynaglo offset upright coal/wood smoker coming this week. I'd love to start making videos of my own. Hoping yourself and the rest of the smoking community will watch me and help me. BLAZE ON MY FRIEND✊

@@grassrootztakulusroq8011 - Awesome to hear! It’ll take you a minute to learn your smoker and it’s idiosyncrasies. Glad my UDS video was helpful. I’m just haven fun with this channel and before I knew it I have over 10K subscribers. This is crazy to me!!! When I became interested in smoking I watched a lot of videos and became interested in doing my own videos. Started playing around with my iPhone and I was off and running. It’s been an incredible learning experience. Always learning from others and how they do their videos and how the RU-vid algorithm works. There’s a lot to learn but no biggie if your interested and love to smoke and shoot vids. Give it a shot but most of all- have fun with it!!!! As soon as you launch your channel I will subscribe!!!! I’ve subbed this one now. Happy Smokin’. Stay safe and healthy!!!

Got my Camp Chef thanks to you. Now tell me about that knife you’re using in this video. Ha.
@SmokinwithKasket
@SmokinwithKasket 3 года назад
Mike Wilson - Hi Mike. Thank you for watching much appreciated. The knife actually is nothing special. I had it and I don’t even know where I’ve acquired it from because I’ve had it for many many years. I got the information stamped on the handle and blade after you asked about it: “Chef's Delight Butcher Knife Interpur Stainless Steel Cutlery Wood riveted handle full tang”. It has an 8 inch blade. I searched it up and see you can purchase one on eBay and they are around $15. It’s actually really good knife and I have used it quite a bit over the years. Now it’s solely dedicated to my barbecue grill / griddle. Stay safe and healthy.
