Until I find a channel that has long streams about the lore and deep dives on Abercrombie’s The First Law series, I will devote myself to watching long streams on my 3rd favorite series - Stormlight. Love this.
@@karlahorton1040 pushing all 20 years of slow delivery and so forth, I must admit my all time number 2 (that already has MASSIVE livestreams from great creators) is The Song of Ice and Fire. If on a scale of 1 to 10, if I were to grade how easy it is to find a channel to geek out for hours and hours about a series and lore and so forth, Game of Thrones is a 9, Stormlight is a 5 (lots of great channels covering cosmere) and Abercrombie’s 10-boom First Law series seems to be like a 1. I have found no channels even small, low sound and quality channels geeking out on that stuff. Someday maybe.
Hi Christian! Your atenttion to detail is impresive. This is why your analysis of the stormlight archive books is so good. Happy to see that you have posted the crelimns video. when you were Joking with Jimmy about making a video of all cremlins mentions, I thought it would be great to actually watch it.
Dang, I missed it live! Its cool to overanalyze these creepy crawlers though Edit: watching the video, and "Cremling safety harness" is the best thing I've heard all week.
22:40 One of the cremling horde is apparently s traitor and has joined Thaidakar according to Hoid, but Hoid doesn't think that anyone of them would join Odium.
My prognositaction: - Shallan will be the one that MAY redeem the cremlings. Shallan's story has been about redeeming family, people she meets on her travels, and she married a man that is redeeming the deadeyes. - Szeth will be the one that will destroy the cremlings. Szeth's destruction from different perspectives is what opens the Way of Kings. Szeth is all about destruction and glory to rocks.
26:45 Crem is actually kinda sus, it is apparently influenced by Cultivation (who is always sus) but only arrives with the Highstorms. lt gives the rainwater a metallic taste, and drinking this water can potentially make you sick. We know investiture can turn into metal and vice versa (like Sharblades and such), so what if crem has cultivation's metallic investiture in it (kinda like lerasium and atium). So what if you drink the water and burn the metal, may be it can give you some powers and perhaps it is related to the old magic/cultivation's magic system. Also, my guess is that she is hijacking the highstorms to dump a bunch of her investiture on the planet constantly and influence it in the most literal sense. Similarly, she has influence over the Purelake, she influences things like Rhyshadium and the creatures with gemhearts and things like that.
35:04 Their true origin planet is unkown, this particular strain of sleepless probably arrived around the same time as the humans did, but we don't know for sure.
Now that I think about it, I live quite close to bradon himself. If you ever get to one of his events or podcasts or whatever. Hit me up, I could make things really cheap for you
I'm towards the beginning of the video right now, so maybe this gets brought up later, but I feel compelled to bring this up: There is no "Cremling" hivemind. Cremlings are just cremlings. The Sleepless are a hivemind, and they disguise their hordelings to /look/ like cremlings while on Roshar so they can blend in with pre-existing fauna. So /sometimes/ when you see a cremling it's actually a Sleepless hordling in disguise. But most of the time a cremling is a cremling, just a run of the mill crab-bug.
Theory 1: Cremlings are not native to Roshar at all; all cremlings there are part of one of the sleepless. Theory 2: At least one of the 16 who shattered Adolnolsium was a sleepless. Is there a shard of Unity?
I'm late. But szeth is the one who's going to ruin it all. Hes alrwady responsible for already taravangian killing odium. Hes incapable of thinking or acting on his own, and when he does he always does something stupid.
kaladin saving everyone is too easy. Dalinar dying is too easy. I think Moash will redeam himself. I think Dalinar and Taravangian will embrace as gods (read their last conversation together) and Taravangian will give odiums power to Dalinar (while dalinar has Honors power). I wont be shocked if it does not happen, but give Brandon a break, its not going to be obvious what happens and srsly killing Dalinar before the next 5 books is silly. Why stop the journey this early
