I just bought this from you guys a few weeks ago. Any tips on making good microfoam? I can't surf the air hole with the milk because the hole is so high... I got pretty good results using the black part of the steamer without the tip, but again because of the height, had to start with a full pitcher and allowed milk to spill over. Thanks!

Hello, Make sure the hole at the top of your panarello is not blocked with milk, and as you froth be sure to keep this area clear of milk. Be sure that you have the panarello insert peaking out from the end of your panarello sleeve by about 1/8 to 1/4 or an inch. Also keep in mind that the Incanto still uses a panarello rather than a traditional milk frothing wand, and so you will end up with larger bubbles rather than smaller micro foam. Because of this panarello, you should need to simply insert the tip into milk at the right height and allow the machine to do the work of heating and building volume. You can incorporate large bubbles at the end of frothing by swirling and tapping the frothing pitcher on your counter. Practice is key, but hopefully this helps you! - Teri

Seattle Coffee Gear Thanks... Maybe I should have splurged on a super-expensive machine... sigh... I would like some clarification, though. Your "How to Steam Milk with Microfoam" states "Submerge the wand so that the top of the milk and the air intake slot or hole are even, allowing milk and air to be drawn in evenly." However, Gail's "Milk Steaming Tips" video shows the air hole being exposed (also, you would need a full pitcher to level the milk with the air hole!). Thanks for the response!

adohrfarms You definitely don’t want to submerge too far if you want foam or no air can be drawn in and you won’t be able to build foam, just heat your milk. If you are using a very large frothing pitcher, you may have trouble reaching the correct level on the panarello sleeve. If you’re using a very small frothing pitcher, the milk may spill over if the pitcher is too full. No matter which size frothing pitcher you choose, filling it about halfway up is ideal. Milk types like 1% versus whole milk, as well as different brands and sometimes even the age of the milk may all contribute to the your frothing. Keep trying- I am sure you will be able to obtain results you like! - Teri

I am sorry, but I have to be honest so that you can improve on it. I could not finish watching this informative video until the end because I got nauseas from the recording moving around all the time.

These Saeco's are piles of garbage...Your money is much better spent on a DeLonghi Magnifica series.
