I just made 12 stencils for my niece’s bachelorette party. They wanted to make something so we decided to paint. Lowe’s cut the wood and then I cut out the stencils on my maker. I used Cricut stencil vinyl to cut them out. I tried some of the Oracal stencil vinyl but it bubbled up and I was afraid it would bleed when we painted. I was very happy with the Cricut brand. I was amazed at how different each of the pieces came out. Each girl added their own creative style to their painting and they were amazing. This was my first time cutting out stencils and I loved the results! Thanks for sharing this video as I will definitely be cutting more stencils.

What a wonderful idea for a bachelorette party! I absolutely love this! This would make for a fun party for anything, Christmas party, Bible study, etc. I will definitely keep this in mind! I agree, the Oramask bubbles very easily and you have to be gentle with how you roll it out. From what I've heard, the bubbles don't hurt the stencil but I agree that it makes me nervous!

This was very informative and you’re a natural teacher!! However I’m looking for a tutorial on how to make a stencil using an image I already have, but I only need one element of that image cut out. It’s for my business logo, and the logo has many “embellishments” but I only need the cut out portion for one of those elements if that makes sense. Is there anything you could tell me that can help me on how to accomplish that? Or maybe you can point me to one of your videos that could show me how to do that! Thanks a lot

I’m wanting to do some infusible or vinyl on a couple of t-shirts for my grandson turning 3. I’m very new to this. I bought the ExplorerII but don’t have an EasyPress yet. Can I use my iron?

You can use an iron for iron-on/HTV but you can’t use an iron for Infusible Ink. I would recommend looking up tutorials for using iron on with a household iron because I haven’t had success with it, so can’t be of assistance. I know others have though!

This particular material is one use. You can make reusable stencils but I’m unsure if that’s possible on the Joy.

Hi there. Quick question. I made some stencils today, that I have not used yet, but did not use transfer tape. Is that step necessary?

I would highly recommend using transfer tape because it makes it so much easier to remove your stencil from the cutting sheet. Also, without transfer tape you run into the risk of ruining your stencil or stretching it when removing it from the cutting sheet and placing it on your base. Hope this helps!
