Pass a nationwide law that makes car theft a mandatory 10 year minimum prison sentence with no chance of getting out early and you would see that shit come to a screeching halt. We simply aren't punishing criminals harshly enough. If they knew that they were going to lose 10 years of their life if they stole a car I really don't think they would want to chance that.

Why not just use an old-fashioned wheel lock? It won't deter them all, but it'll slow them down. Add this to the Anti-Theft. We have had our vehicle broken in before, but never stolen use wheel locks on all our vehicles. It helps

I hear some say my old City has changed well I don't think so they only arrested the criminals of my time and their kids have now taken over, I'm glad I left NYC many years ago

Most people go through life hoping there's a heaven when they die. I see people like this and hope there's a hell. I'm not sure of the differences between an afterlife hell and a modern-day black neighborhood but I hope they at least prosecute robbery and assault and shoplifting down there.
