Y'all are all wrong ... I worked security, he's a nice guy but he's wrong ...Hes not supposed to engage with a crime being committed, his job is to simply call the police and write a report. If he would have got stabbed or would have hurt them the company would be liable. I use to do security and that's the first thing they teach you in training.... So he's completely wrong 1 million percent ... Now is the security guard a good person absolutely but that's not his job ...call the police is his job ... Like never pat anyone down being accused of someone else’s theft. 😂. Yeah the police still was supposed to come out the building where you work if you call regardless if anyone was hurt or not! It’s called getting a report of an attempt of whatever the situation! So, the police was wrong for not showing up! And, if he’s licensed to carry a gun he can detain anyone who’s on the property! @@calvingaston7934No my brother, not just any armed security you have to have a police officer certification to arrest or detain someone . You can be a regular armed security and detain someone but it's called citizens arrest if you don't have that certificate. BUT this security guard we are talking about is not an armed security otherwise he would have pulled his gun... He literally tried to physically man handle them by wrestling with them... What this security guard did is ABSOLUTELY WRONG ... like I said maybe he's a nice guy but he doesn't understand security guard protocols .... If he would have got killed or killed one of them that company would be paying stiff fines and insurance would sky rocket ... Than the security guard had the nerve to call the news stations .... The only thing I will agree with you on was the police needed to do a better job .... But the security supervisor is ABSOLUTELY right .. they could have been looking at a huge lawsuit and the criminals in that case would have gotten rich because he wanted to act like he is a cop ...... Period ... There is no excuse or different perspectives anyone can give me Edit : as a regular security D license security guard you have less power than a normal citizen. All the company wants you to do is do surveillance of the area and report... The joke my trainer said during training was that these companies will give you a flashlight and a quarter, so you can call the police......so this security officer acted out of anger because it was his car they were vandalizing... Absolutely agree. Remember people if a place posts they have security, don't believe for 1 minute you are safe, because they will just call it in, and your on your own.

I just learned something. If you see a company post there is security on site, do NOT be lulled into thinking it's any safer than anywhere else. If you are attacked they will just report it, if they see it, so you're on your own. Thank you for this valuable lesson. It also seems like LE just wants everyone to stand down, no matter what.

It's not worth being law enforcement officers. They are judged guilty before an investigation is done. This entire country is in dire need of taking a step back and looking at how bad society is headed down hill.

Wow yuck 🤢 she came to him with a very nasty attitude. He probably didn't remember the policy first of all not saying that's a good thing ,but happens and he didn't know possibly it would be a bad thing to tell the News what happened .Seeing he truly wanted the world to know so they could be careful and they boys could've came back and attacked other workers .They hit him first while he was chasing them . He could've let them go but wanted to keep them there if possible until police arrived. I feel so bad for this man being treated so unfair and hes not get paid much of anything already I seen the tears in his eyes as she talked to him like he was a toddler and less than a human .he loved his job but knew he couldnt remain his own boss cared nothing about his safety her safety or nobody else's .
