The government could have done something about it years ago. They ran the PO until recently . They're only talking about it now because of the ITV drama.

They can try and say what about Labour, but at the end of the day, what about our current Tory government that knew about it this? Why did they give the ex-CEO a CBE and government roles? Why did they give Fujitsu more contracts? Why hasn’t the government done a damn thing since this emerged?

It’d cost more than Paula Vennels has got. I’m sure Paula can sell her home to help toward the proceeds just like a lot of those innocent Post Masters/Mistresses had to.

It was not a miscarriage of justice. It was an intentional effort to defraud & wrongly convict innocent people to cover up their own mistakes.

Royal Mail owned the post office during this scandal , Adam Crozier , Allan Leighton and Moya Greene also need to be held accountable.

Renaming the Post Office would cost money, which would be better spent compensating the postmasters. And it would just be the same people under another name.

At the start Jeremy asked what do we want to see. I want to see him be treated like the Sub postmasters & the public have the same attitude towards him as he has on this. Jeremy showed his true character with his disregard attitude. Get him off the screen asap. I hope there’s a petition to get rid of him. I’ll be the 1st to sign it.

These computer bugs are still around in the military and government I work in engineering all my life and how many computer systems didn’t work we gave up on some but the difference is we never went to court the ones that have lied should go to prison so unfair to the people that have been wronged and new computer systems in business should be on trial till all the bugs are sorted if this had been done we wouldn’t be were we are today

I was told years ago by 2 software managers that these large software programs never fully worked properly. There was always something to correct. Alarm bells start ringing when suspense accounts are mentioned...these would be unknown, unreconciled differences...

The stiffest penalty will be suspended sentences and preventing the executives from holding other executive positions. I doubt time behind bars will happen. As for MP's they will receive warnings or temporary suspension.

You may want to change your intro image to remove the Royal Mail logo before you get sued for indirectly implying Royal Mail are involved in this horrendous scandal. They are two totally separate companies, and this scandal is solely down to the Post Office and not Royal Mail.

..in this high tech world.. I find it baffling, how this failed system couldn’t be explained for the errors it created? I mean Apollo 13 in 1970 was eventually put right ...... so well over fifty years ago technology THEN could be rectified....

Historically the subpostmasters were seen as the bottom of the barrel by the Post Office and not to be trusted inspite all the hoops they go through to get their positions. When the errors started appearing it justified to them that the subpostmasters were thieves and the new computer system was showing them up. It would've taken someone with the mindset that a thousand subpostmasters can't suddenly be wrong to stick a pin and investigate what was happening. Unfortunately the former narrative suited them better. It's the institutional prejudice that has kept this disgraceful situation going on for so long.

Not really a great look for the UK legal system. Perception from the other side of the pond [US]. Considering the portrayed attitude / culture of those in positions of authority, in the UK, I'm not surprised at how this played out. Based only on what I've seen in videos & read in comments, coming from people in the UK, it seems that those in authoritative positions, regardless of the insignificance of their office, they function as if they have been given absolute, infallible powers from some all-powerful deity or royal source. Do not question me, I am the law. Regrettably, I see the same behaviors in many business owners over here in the US. Very good presentation.

The judges are also to blame. How did they allow a none expert into their court - 'the expert' was from Fujitsu. He was not independent. There was futher problems in the court that were incorrect(PO enquiry Day 84 and 85).

These criminals should have all their assets seized and used to pay off the victims of the crime - the postmasters and the tax payer. They should be jailed to put others off this corruption and the tory party members who knew as well as the fujistu executives should also be fined and jailed.

They will use delay tactics so that this works in the favour of the Government. As they Government say " Never waste a bod opportunity "
