My dream is to write music with lyrics so convoluted that it creates two camps of people: Those who think the lyrics are deep, and those who say they’re pretentious or nonsensical. Meanwhile I sit back and say during interviews “Yeah I just played Mad Libs and wrote a song with it because I can! 😁😁”
@@masterjunky863Plato and Aristotle are obviously anglicized names but the ones you gave aren't closer to the original Greek. If you want to just write the Greek names with Latin characters you get Sokrates, Platon, and Aristoteles.
A few weeks ago, I saw a homeless man take a shit inside an empty peanut butter container, put the lid back on it, put it in a grocery bag, and then get on a city bus with it... he was a straight up ICON. Ain’t NOBODY ELSE doin that shit. An ICON living, and riding public transportation. Woah.
How can you define a bad artist tho really? It's all subjective in the end. So much defines what people like their culture or just what they relate to. As much as people wanna act all high and mighty about their "superior" music taste ultimately if people like it, who cares. Edit :BTW I'm not even a logic fan I just don't like people calling music "bad"
Gunplay_123 Yes of course music is subjective, but like any art there are rules that have to be followed. There are objective ways to view music, but yeah most of it comes down to preference.
I really hate that second one. In any context, it annoys the hell out of me. Yeah, I may not be a chef, but that doesn't mean I can't tell when the food someone made is shit.
This kid has clearly lived in a bubble his whole life where he was told how brilliant he is, and with all the money in the world to help him, you can see why he turned out this way.
I do believe he may be overplaying it to make people interested in watching it for the sheer stupidity. He's certainly still no talented artist but I have a very high doubt that he's actually this negligible in real world interactions but maybe I'm just to hopeful for humanity
lol right? I feel like this point was completely missed. He was an amazing fkng artist and happened to do something eye-catching in a moment of inspiration. Not everyone needs to be a Hendrix fan but if you listen to the live album, he says he’s doing it as thank-you offering of sorts to the audience because he loved them and was just in the moment (and arguably on a hefty amount of acid)… not because he thought, “hmmm this would be iconic! This will make tomorrow’s news!”
Yeah but Jaden doesn't know that. Id bet my pinky finger Jaden couldn't name 10 Hendrix songs off the top of his head. Jimi himself doesn't even know why he burned that guitar lol. As in he didn't overthink the impact it would have. Just like The Who smashing their gear, completely spontaneous and it ended up being an Achilles heel for them in the beginning.
I think *Jaden is a comedic genius.* He inherited his skills from his father (Will Smith), but *the comedy is manifesting in different ways.* Maybe when he gets older, he'll be able to truly harness his comedic power.
"All duties are either duties of right, that is, juridical duties (officia juris), or duties of virtue, that is, ethical duties (officia virtutis s. ethica). Juridical duties are such as may be promulgated by external legislation; ethical duties are those for which such legislation is not possible. The reason why the latter cannot be properly made the subject of external legislation is because they relate to an end or final purpose, which is itself, at the same time, embraced in these duties, and which it is a duty for the individual to have as such. But no external legislation can cause any one to adopt a particular intention, or to propose to himself a certain purpose; for this depends upon an internal condition or act of the mind itself. However, external actions conducive to such a mental condition may be commanded, without its being implied that the individual will of necessity make them an end to himself. But why, then, it may be asked, is the science of morals, or moral philosophy, commonly entitled -- especially by Cicero -- the science of duty and not also the science of right, since duties and rights refer to each other? The reason is this. We know our own freedom -- from which all moral laws and consequently all rights as well as all duties arise -- only through the moral imperative, which is an immediate injunction of duty; whereas the conception of right as a ground of putting others under obligation has afterwards to be developed out of it." - Jaden Smith
The EXACT quote I was thinking about when Fantano brought up that point tho. What differentiates Jaden Smith from these others artists who have also been a bit condescending to audiences?
Geri Fox The difference is Kendrick has several songs deconstructing this sort of attitude and the role of artists (particularly black artists) in the modern culture and the perceived responsibility they do or do not have to their community. Jaden doesn't even come close to that level of self awareness, or any level for that matter.
hi guys R Kelly is a handler. Pissing on someone is below ground on the totem pole of what that dude has done to people. Females in particular. Satanic gang
The singer from Dillinger Escape Plan took a fat shit on stage (with an extreme close up on camera that was displayed on all the giant monitors) in front of 60,000 + people, smeared it on himself and threw it into the crowd at Reading. Even after doing so, they still managed to get a highly positive response from the audience by playing an excellent set. If that's not the motherfucking epitome of iconic, I don't know what is.
canadmexi i think he means any fucker who shows up recently gets popular and earns millions, but they’re shit in music, like Cardi B and half of these mumble rappers and fake youtuber songs, if that’s what he means, maybe i get it

Yes! So many people use it for the most moronic things. A teenage girl at work described a Miley Cyrus PICTURE as iconic. I asked, "why is it iconic?" Her response? "You're just jealous!" Hmmmm....wut
@@JennaLeigh Oh dear, that is so damn sad! By all means, she is welcome to love Miley Cyrus and her picture, but there is so much more out there that is truly iconic, figures through history, musicians, painters, the list goes on throughout thousands of years! And how rude of her to respond that "You're just jealous"!! What???
And all this time I thought you were supposed to make noise near the microphone but not breathe on it. I'm such a basic bitch. I hope Jaden can teach me more about handling long rigid objects.
Jevie Because He is always comparing himself to Martin Luther King, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Kid Cudi and other great artist who are way better then him. Also his last 3 albums we’re horrible. The lyrics are just corny and when I finished listening to a Song of his, I had Cancer.
Jevie I’m mainly talking about how he says some dumb stuff and thinks he’s being deep while Lil Pump says some dumb stuff and knows he’s dumb. I don’t like Jaden’s music but it’s a lot different than Lil Pump’s.
Jaleel Butler No he wasnt lmao idk where this started but yall needa stop believing everything u read online. He recorded it when he was 19-20 and released it when he was 21
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Jaden Smith. The music is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of hegelian philosophy most of the rhymes will go over a typical listener’s head. There’s also Jaden’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Kanye West, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these rhymes, to realise that they’re not just catchy- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Jaden truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the sheer depth in Jaden’s existential catchphrase “I'm just a icon living, living, I'm just a icon whoa,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Jaden Smith’s genius wit unfolds itself on their speakers. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have an ICON tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
ThePainkiller9995 Prime example of dumbo millenial! Rapper "I got weed and your green panties in my box" Dumbo "Oh so artistic he meant life is green (weed) green panties mean the nature is trapped in the box of our environment that is changing because of our destroying behavior."
So I went to the jaden genius video expecting people to be commenting on his ego and how he is not deep, woke or unique. Instead all the comments I read were talking about how great, talented and cute he is.. People saying stuff like "I can't believe how much he thinks about his lyrics". I could not believe it! It's like I'm living in a different reality than everyone else. THIS IS GOOD? THIS IS DEEP? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? Fuck that makes me so depressed.
It's a bit sad now that I think about it. He is maybe trying to stand out so that he can have his own identity rather than being labeled as will Smith's son
Fuck, I want him to collab with Hopsin. Like, the song has no beat, no structure, no music at all; it'd be a two hour long lecture with both talking at the same time, each one panned to the left and right respectively, and telling you what to believe in and that they're the best.
Imagine being Jaden Smith. Your dad is a genuine rags-to-riches living story, a man that is genuinely loved and respected, and every living day is proof that there is hope to break it big, to be an idol and to even inspire a few people to keep going. A success story! This dad decided to spawn a few children, and one of these struck puberty, starting to struggle with his own ego. He's gotta live up to it. He's gotta live up to the name of his dad. But how? His dad accomplished something. What can he accomplish? What can he prove? What sort of cultural mark can he leave on this world? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. He's really not very talented - he doesn't need to work to attain talent, because he's rich. But he still needs to FEEL like he matters. So he surrounds himself with self-obsessed art hipsters and producers and simply insists that he's got something to say. I like Will Smith. I think he's a likeable dude and he seems like a truly nice guy. But got damn, I feel for his kids. And for all rich kids with parents like this. Simply knowing that your dad accomplished something you neither can or have to do must suck. What would I do? Start living on the streets, become a vagrant? A guru? Do a Bruce Wayne-style voyage around the world and swear off money and fame? I don't know.
HarpoTheVillain he can work harder,to gain a different talent,he doesn't need to be all flashy, snobbish, blunt, full of himself with no resemblance to his humble and simple father ,infact completely the opposite. He brags for 5 mins about his "HaRD WoRK" okay what hardwork? Seriously tho, if he'd be so arrogant he deserves being criticized.
Have you even heard his music man?? This is probably the only narcissistic song he has. If you've heard what he does and his thoughts, you would know he is pretty educated on the stuff he talks about. Although most of it is based on his own contemplation. If you've heard anything about him you would know he isn't ego driven. Yeah this song is a little shallow, but there is meaning that a lot of people find in his other music. The only thing you could validly call him is crazy.
Jaden Smith literally trying to tell us that his music is like how rick and morty fans talk about the show like most people don’t have the cognitive function to process it.
