High concentrated sugar soda with a sugar cookie is so much healthier than coffee. Makes a lot of sense.

@Jessica Bolles according to LDS doctrine, yes. And unless once sealed, if you divorce for any reason, like say the husband was horribly abusive or cheated on you, unless you go through a very lengthy and involved difficult process of getting "unsealed", you are forever sealed to him in heaven, where he can and will have multiple wives. LDS heaven includes having sex and sending those spirit babies down to earth to be born into physical bodies. And even if you remarry, unless you are unsealed from first husband, when you die you will be forever married to your former abusive husband and forever making babies with him to send to earth. As many times as a man marries on earth and is sealed to he keeps in heaven. Naturally, women don't keep as many husbands as she has married and divorced. Polygamy is very much still part of LDS doctrine in the afterlife, and of course, as it was in the Bible, it is entirely men having multiple wives, and never a wife with multiple husbands.

👏👏👏👏👏 I'm sorry, but everyone who has had an NDE says the same thing-we become one with God. No friends, no family. My mom said He is "a pool of liquid gold so bright it would burn our eyes. Radiating bliss, knowing me completely. He engulfed me." So, sorry Mormons. There ARE no "levels", there ARE no "wives". The euphoria and bliss of being "engulfed" by God FAR surpasses what any dang WIFE could do for ya!🤣🤣🤣🤣

I went to a Catholic school. I had my first communion (eating a wafer) at 7. I also had my first confession (telling your sins to a priest) when I was 7. I did not want to but I really had no choice. I never went to confession again. Fortunately, when I was 9 my Father said I could go to church if I wanted to but he wouldn't let my mother force me to go. When I was 11 a teacher told me that if you didn't want to go to church on Sunday it was because the Devil, an invisible being, was telling you not to go. (Strangely you couldn't actually hear his voice. Somehow he spoke to you without you actually hearing him). Fortunately, the teacher's scare tactics did not work.

@@peterrosqvist2480 My sister is lesbian and wants to get married one day, partially because the church talks quite a bit about how great marriage is. It would be the opposite of empathy if I were to vote for lawmakers who want her right to marry revoked. Voting to protect that is empathy-based advocacy. Protecting gay marriage does not affect me positively or negatively, but if I voted for someone who wanted that right taken away, how would that be anything but an act of hate against my sister? No amount of telling my sister I love her would ever make up for that attack on her rights. At the age of 15 members of the Finnish Evangelical-Lutheran church are confirmed. This involves some study (usually at a summer camp), church ceremony (first communion) and a celebration with family and presents. Majority of Finns belong to E-L church, so this all is normal and unquestioned even in families where religion is in no way significant. Personally I was an atheist at 15 and tried to skip the whole thing. My parents weren't religious, but were afraid of (or concerned by) the opinions and feelings of relatives and tempted me into going through this with the presents. A decision I am not all proud of. So, I don't think that in similar situations many 8-year olds could say no either.

I was raised orthodox and we were taught the same thing that “the Greek Orthodox Church is the only true church” A priest also regularly compared it by saying “why would you want a Honda Civic when you can have a Lamborghini” like this church is the best church and anyone who believes anything else is wrong and are not following the one true way🙄 Long story short I’ve left the church. Haven’t told family or anyone because I don’t know where to start.

Without beer we wouldn’t have civilization. Some Mesopotamian person thousands of years ago discovered that fermented wheat gives you a nice buzz and decided to cultivate it. It lead to farming and later urbanization. Without beer we wouldn’t have the internet.

My husband’s uncle and his family are Mormon. They are in the UK. When his cousin came to visit us in Australia she told us that the reason they don’t drink coffee and tea is due to the amount of caffeine they contain. She likened it to not being allowed to drink alcohol, as it has detrimental affects on the body. Interestingly the whole family is addicted to chocolate in all forms, including hot chocolate. Chocolate has as much caffeine as coffee. They also would drink a hot drink called Caro which is a coffee replacement. They didn’t talk about not being allowed to have hot drinks. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is so stupid, they didn't created the first coffee substitute. I'm from Ecuador and even there they have a drink that kinda taste like coffee but is watery. I got baptized when I was 14 so I drank coffee before that. I'm so happy to be out of the church and can drink real coffee again.

My Mormon coffee story: I am from a small all Mormon town( I was allowed to go , but never allowed to be baptized) So as a young waitress , I was waiting on 2 local Mormon brothers, one pulls out a bottle of pero, sets it there , orders a cup of coffee (Regular) tells me to pull cup low and fill it behind the bar. Ya he’s an honest man!😂😂😂😂🤣😅😂🤣😅

When I was studying German in college, and before I left the Church, there was a conversation group that met once a week at a coffee shop. About half of my German classes offered extra credit for attending these meet-ups. Even though I usually ordered a bottle of water (because number one: it was a way to show that I wasn't drinking coffee, and number two: it was the cheapest thing on the menu), both my bishop and the institute director told me to stop attending them to "avoid the appearance of evil." And by the time I had left the Church, too many of the profs were too busy with other projects to have time for the conversation group.

Regarding the last part of the video - I'm still on FAIR's mailing list, and in one of their most recent newsletters they talked about Jeffrey Holland's BYU talk, they basically said that, if you had a problem with it, DON'T go on social media (which they called "the Monster") and raise concerns. In other words, SHUT UP and keep it in the family. The writer even suggested going to a person who had a problem with the talk with "a warm loaf of banana bread" and talk with them with the words of the Lord. Sorry, but after listening to that talk, I think I know who and what the real "monster" is. I hope you're feeling better these days Lexi. I'd be proud to have had someone like you as a daughter.

I don't know if you know this but 8passengers has a youtube channel that has lost all its sponsors over the last year or so and very rarely posts anymore. The mother has cut off all contact with the rest of her immediate family (parents and siblings). They apparently don't agree with her parenting methods as well as her aligning herself with jodi hildebrandt who is a real piece of work herself.

I have really enjoyed this one and needed the laughs. I got a swig gift card one time from work and decided to get some sort of coffee flavored drink. That shit was so vile I felt so sick because of all the processed ingredients in it. I bought the cookies also and bit into one. My teeth HURT from all of the sugar in it. Everything went in the trash.
