Welp, I'm convinced. As for your question, Bravely Default 2, because it has such an easy interface, and the gameplay is customizable for any challenge level.
Haha I mean hey if you have game pass, you'd have it for free tomorrow regardless :) Ooo great choice! A modern game that still feels like it captures a lot of classic Final Fantasy.
I just played Cris Tales demo on Nintendo Switch and loved everything about it except where I struggle to time my "A" button accurately to trigger the parry / deflect move against enemy units attacks or trigger double attacks on enemy units. I hoped @CrisTalesGame do patch an easy mode to auto-block enemy attacks, post launch of the game. I truly want to enjoy and experience the story in Cris Tales full game without having to throw the controller at the wall in fustration. I will hate to reset the same enemy battle for the n-th time because the game ccould not register my input to trigger block and parry enemy attacks. I would want Cris Tales to be my new favourite time travel mechanic video game if it is not bogged down by its unreasonably strict input timing window which you also experienced in the full game. I am glad I am not alone suffering with the strict input timing window. I would wait for a sale before I get this game.
I struggled with the timing too, something felt off at times for sure. The dev team has seem receptive though so I have hope they'll patch up with feedback.
This is another one that I want but have no idea if I will be able to play. As a noob in the turn-based genre, even MHS2 is kicking my butt at some point hahaha. Regardless, very in-depth and awesome review
It's strange that the sound mixing is still an issue. After the demo released Modus Games released a video discussing some of the criticisms it had received. They specifically mentioned the sound mixing as an issue they were going to address.
Man this was a great review. You covered exactly what I wanted without giving too much away and leaving few questions unanswered. You did it all succinctly as well which was a nice plus. I'm definitely still going to play this game but I think you've convinced me to play it on PC rather than Switch. Games on Switch that remove the ability to record/screenshot are able to do so for the SMALLEST of performance benefits- we're talking like 1 FPS. If a game does this, you know the devs needed to pull out all the stops to get it running how it is, so to hear that it's still far from perfect even with this step taken is a bummer. My one JRPG would be Final Fantasy VII.
Looking forward to putting this game in the stack of July games to play once my other reviews are done. For a first timer it depends whether it's because they aren't really into turn based or not or what things appeal to them, but if they seem okay with normal turn based then I'd probably go pretty traditional with Dragon Quest VIII/XI.
I wasn't interested in this game because the visual style look like a cartoon network cartoon to me from the first trailers but after this review the gameplay mechanics looks pretty fun and visuals are not what I thought, I'm sold.
Hello great video I did not see it in full because I want to play it well, a doubt before buying it ... does it have good difficulty? The bosses are challenging or is it the typical RPG that is easy and great in gameplay? and in how many hours did you finish it?
I answer a lot of this in the video and don't show anything beyond the first 4-5 hours or so for spoilers. The game overall follows a typical JRPG setup but with a twist on time. It's a pretty challenging game that took a little over 30 hours. Thanks for clicking on the video :)
