You are a true artist. With food, with the images and even in your instructions. I have watched thousands of hours of cooking imagery, and I have concluded that you are the best I’ve ever seen. Thank you, and whoever you have working with you, for such beautiful quality and consistency.
I swear Marian you can do no wrong every dish that you put out on RU-vid is stunning simplicity at its best I have kind of figured out that you just need to have all your ingredients and the right tools and you're on your way when it comes to your recipe so I want to implore you to please please keep them coming because I adore you and your food is decadent but yet simple and that makes me happy because it seems very doable God bless you and I say you could do no wrong out here in San Francisco California
I bought a wok 10 years ago because...well, why not...and I think YOU will finally make me use it...so far, your vids just make me hungry...and happy...
Lol 10 years? Now I don’t feed so bad that my new wok sat in the box in lounge room for several months. I stated using it two weeks ago when I made her pad thai but now I use it all the time. Btw did you actually use the wok?
Holly molly made this now! Added a egg in the meat mix and sesame oil in the sauce mix - added birdeyes chillis and used a quality Heinz organic tomato sauce. Best dish I’ve made
Yummmm this look so delicious. Definitely will give this a go, I have been binge watching your videos and they never fail to get my taste buds going. I have tried so many of your recipes and they all turned out so yummm. Loads of love from India. Thank you for being such an amazing inspiration😘
I really appreciate you explaining why you use certain things like the dark vinegar in this video over regular white vinegar as well as giving a substitute to use if we can't find it. It real helps me as I'm really new in cooking homemade meals from scratch.
HOLY COWWWW!!!!! Looks so delicious, my mouth is watering. My all time favorite is toasty spicy beef dishes 💙 Making my grocery list right now, can't wait to make this. Thanks much for showing us how to make this!
This looks amazing and I LOVE your earrings!! Also could you create some video content for best practices of handling/disposing frying oil? I’d love to cook through more of your videos but I get hung up on what to do with all the leftover oil
Tried this recipe today (using half the amounts) and it's super yummy! Never expected deep fried beef to be that tasty and crunchy! Will definitely keep this recipe in my arsenal. :)
Made this for dinner tonight and it was amazing. The sauce is incredibly savory, and could definitely stand some more chili flake. The beef was super crispy, even after being tossed in sauce. This was super easy to make, although deep frying the beef was a bit of pain, but will be making this again. Trying her adult general tso chicken tomorrow.
Tell me why I just subscribed yesterday. I Made a playlist just for her cooking videos since I find myself binge watching everything in her channel..And I kid you not. I have over 25 videos saved in it and it’s still going! 🐷🥟🍜🍚🥩
I made this today and it was SOOOO GOOD! I added some Pak Choi that needed to be used up and added a tiny bit of palmsugar to the sauce. We couldn’t stop eating until the pan was empty :) Thanks for the great recipe! We had your beef bulgogi yesterday and it was also an absolute keeper!
Perfect upload time for the UK timezone. Now my stomach is protesting! I miss sweet dark soy sauce in Thailand as it's a little bit difficult and expensive to find it here. For UK folks, you can go to an Asian store and ask for the ABC sauce instead. Not perfectly substitutable but it's delicious in its own way too.
Literally my favorite cooking channel! Everytime I learn a new cooking tip from you Marion, it gets used whenever possible and just raises the bar on my family cooking. Thank you!
Hi Marion! I really love watching your vlog.looks always delicious and easy to prepare.can you tell us what soy sauce a nd dark soy sauce you're using if you dont mind? 😊😊❤❤❤
I've always been a bit timid about cooking crispy beef dishes, but you make it look so easy and achievable. Adding this to my 'must try' list. Thanks, Marion! PS If I wanted to boost the vegie content a little further, what others would you suggest?
A couple of tips for people who want to try this: mix 1/2 a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in with your cornflour. It breaks down the bonds in the beef if you let it marinate. Also, cut your beef strips across the grain if you can, rather than with the grain. It'll make your strips much less chewy.
Marion your videos are like food porn. I love the camera work and the chill music. And of course your voice and accent. It’s just a whole vibe to me and It’s so relaxing to watch during my lunch break. 🙌🏾♥️♥️♥️
I don't know why it's even controversial. My Italian friends use it as an ingredient into sauces to add umami and sweetness whether making marinara or a pan sauce. No shame in shortcuts, cook smarter not harder.
Thanks Marion for sharing this recipe.. I wonder if I can substitute beef with chicken though, would the texture come out the same? would frying the chix longer or shorter? Thanks Marion ☺️
Yes, comes out the same :) make sure you cut the chicken in thin strips so that they are cooked through when you fry them! Chicken is super nice for this as well :)
