Agree!!! I heard Shonda “kills off” characters based on how nice the actors were so it makes sense that the more problematic actors were given worse send offs. Sandra Oh (Cristina) must have been very professional/kind because her character’s exit was so well done.
She was the most selifsh cunt on the whole show. She first rats out burke after he kicked her out of the hospital. Then ruins the perfectly good relationship of merideth and derek by manipulating her. Such a selfish cunt Can't stand her for one second
Christina wasn't the best character but she was the one that stood out the most because she was a woman who wasn't the typical traditional woman in society. Automatically as women we wanna be someone wife and mother where Christina she was willing to be a wife but she didn't cook, she didn't clean, and she didn't want kids. She was so focused on her career and doing surgeries and out of the original interns she was the only one that didn't get personally involved with her patients. She was all about saving a life or doing the surgery. Christina not only left her husband she left her best friend and her fellow doctors and after everything she has been through from losing her father to losing doctor friends to surviving a shooting to a plane crash to losing 2 babies like she needed a new place of scenery and she pretty much outgrew Grey Sloan.
literally but also several of the actors did the show dirty - Patrick Dempsey had an affair with a woman on the production crew and then when found out about it he demanded she be fired or he would leave mid season despite his contract being through season 13 so they sorta had to rush an ending for him. Justin Chambers was also contracted through the end of season 16, but demanded to be written out early.
The show really did go downhill after she left. They should’ve stopped the show after 10 seasons. It had a good run, but I think after season 10 would’ve been an appropriate time to stop the show. With Meredith and Derek moving to DC and Alex taking the job and Hopkins.
@@rannierunsfast actually there not :/ Ellen Pompeo talked about that, she almost doesn’t see Sandra Oh anymore, almost since she left the show. I can be wrong but I’m pretty sure I remember hear that from her mouth in a interview.
@@toomuchiridium Patrick Dempsey was really toxic in the studio, and Ellen didn’t like him as a person, there’s a lot of interviews about that, at least that’s something I know.
I almost cried when Cristina took off while Meredith was trying not to cry. On top of that I really wish that George and Izzie were there to cheer for her.
Teniola Akeredolu-Ale I kinda wish they brought back izzie to make a guest appearance during season 8 when the residents were taking their boards to reunite with mer Alex and Cristina, and then we’d see that she was still doing residency somewhere else, and it would’ve been good to see them back together again. And if George didn’t die I know that he and izzie would’ve been there to cheer on Cristina.

I love when Cristina tells Meredith that Alex needs to be mocked at least once a day or else he'll be insufferable. The look on her face when she says it too is so great.

"You're my person. I need you alive. You make me brave." Such words that carry a lot of weight. I love how even when they've matured and grown. The youth in them as interns is still there.
I always cry at those scenes! I was sad when the main characters died but when Christina left, I just felt empty inside. This is my favorite character from all series I have watched (comedy , drama, thriller) and I guess that's why it hurts watching this episode.
@@veronikawadhwa998 usually scenes are shot without any music, the director might have a track in mind, but they try out various tracks until they find one that fits the scene best.
I was ok with it, yes it was obvious the song didnt match their dance but I feel like it's because the song was between them as well as the fact when shooting they dont have music and have to act lol. This was a private and emotional thing, we got to see their dance, let them have their song. We got a different one tht fit the situation.
He is very dreamy, he us not the sun but you are - this is a very good quote for people who think they are destroyed only because a certain person does not love them back/anymore.
They couldn’t have chosen any other song for their last “dance it out.” This was perfect. I’m so glad Cristina got the best ending and closure possible.
I know Sandra O said she would never come back. But with Derek, George, mark and lexi coming back in her dreams. How awesome if Cristina came back and brought Meredith back to the living
And...this is where the show truly imploded. After the plan crash finale is really where is started to go down hill, but the season after that was decent. However, they used that as a crutch to really ruin their characters and relationships. After that it didn't feel like a medical drama anymore it became a soap opera. Unfortunatly, you can see from,how many main cast members have left that's how they feel too. They have done an awful job of doing what ER was successful at...and that's continuing to introduce new exciting characters that people can love, they just dont give the new characters time to develop anymore. There aren't anymore Lexies or Averys or April's... This show should have ended here or with dereks death. The current seasons are just too much of a soap anymore and it's sad. It's way past its golden years.
Well said. After they lost the main players the writing and story lines went AWOL. Far fetched. Zero chemistry or attraction between Meredith and DeLuca. No comparison to Dr. McDreamy. Amelia was/is extremely unstable. I liked Teddy but Hunt was a very troubled soul. Scary. Treated Christina badly. Yep after the plane wreck it all went south
Dianna A I agree, it started to change after the plane crash, but I still liked seasons 9&10. But when Cristina left after season 10 it really took a turn for the worst.
But, you see, people don't watch for the writing or drama. They watch because theres always a story to be told. Always a new patient to treat. A new crisis to overcome. the shows writing went to crap because the characters who were worth a damn left. Stephanie Edwards was the last good character that was new and came in the later seasons. But she's gone, too.

I honestly didn’t like Cristina in the beginning but she ended up becoming one of my favorite characters I was in tears watching her leave and move onto better things !!
And they text all the time😭 It’s 2021 and I still cry everytime I watch this scene. I think I cry harder when Cristina left comparing to when Derek died. Still, both scenes break my heart💔
After George die , mark die this is very much sad scene.....Lexie is hadn't say good by by sudden death but it's still pain....but Christina and Meredith is almost likely I have friendship like this.....Barbara from China...she have almost same tone voice 😁 and curly hair same like Sandra oh....it's just 2009 in dubai really I miss that things
I wish that other characters that left the show had a good exit like Cristina did, instead of dying or something bad happening to them. Cristina is the only character that had the ending that she deserved.❤
I was watching this with my mum today and we were talking about it and I was fine then they started dancing and my mum said ‘Cristina really got the best send off’ and I just started bawling but I don’t like to cry at tv shows so I had to keep it in 😂 but fr Cristina best character come back
