I normally use locktite bearing retainer vs lube on the barrel extension to ensure no movement or positive lock up, even on thermal fit receivers. My last Cerakoted upper with a core barrel I used a Map gas torch and a dead blow lol even then I still used a lite coat of locktite bearing retainer

loctite is worthless on gas block screws. how do u get loctited bolts out? with heat. use rockset. thats the best thing for gas block screws other than pinning them. cool set up though. u got a new sub
You don’t have to pound it this guy has no clue what he is doing. He needs to get the upper hotter and then install barrel. The upper should be on a reaction rod in a vice not clamped straight into a vice I have built so many uppers with BCM thermal fit uppers it’s not even funny.
@brandonschwietzer8757 Reaction Rod blocks full insertion using alot of pressure. Barrel crown hits the rod lugs and upper was thickly cerakoted making it twice as tough as my BCM's have ever been. A few taps with a rubber mallet won't hurt anything. Plenty of people do it this way successfully.
@@brandonschwietzer8757 Jake is the man. Bcm uppers are great…but having that extra long geissele barrel nut saved me in the past. Come on everyone has had that last inch or so stuck out ofthe receiver. Best way to do it is to have the barrel in the vice and have the upper in your hands.
