I am always saying WE GOT THIS in real life and online. We all have our own struggles and I believe we can get through anything together. When I was diagnosed with cancer in September, I thought this was my own struggle but I realised my cancer has affected everyone around me. I am a daughter, a girlfriend, a sister, a friend, a cousin, a grand daughter & more. I know my journey has affected everyone around me and I know now more than ever that I have no choice but to get better. Whatever life throws at us, we are going to get through it together. Tiffany - I was teary eyed watching this. Partly because it brought back memories of my rectal cancer surgery and waking up after surgery so sore and with an ileostomy to deal with and knowing what it’s like to be the patient. This knowledge gave me the other reason for crying as I watched. Tears of joy knowing the tumor was successfully removed from your body and the hope that this moment marks the end of your active cancer treatment as you move into recovery and ongoing monitoring. I know you still have a long physical recovery in front of you. It’s amazing that you felt so motivated to record your time in the ICU. Your graciousness shines through even in the ICU connected to a labyrinth of tubes and wires. I’m so happy for you and hope your recovery continues smoothly.

It’s been 2.5 years since I had my first surgery on what my surgeon called “a nasty tumor” and so far there has been no sign of recurrence. Yes cancer is a monster. I’m sorry you lost your mom to cancer. A cancer diagnosis impacts so many people beyond the patient. Though while my treatments were successful I live with many side effects on a daily basis. But I’m grateful to be living.

It’s so sweet how Matt tells you to be careful with your legs like four times. He’s always genuinely looking out for you. It’s definitely shocking to see those beautiful high cheek bones of yours covered under all that swelling but you were still gorgeous with your glowing personality and grace. Considering how major of a surgery this was and how much improvement was already seen, I feel confident you will make a lovely recovery. @@Tondaloona03 I think maybe you misunderstood me, i meant most people can't say they changed people's lives. The fact that Tiffany has took us on her cancer journey, highlighting her symptoms, so people will regonise them if they show these signs and get checked out. I didn't mean God meant her to get cancer! That's crazy, i think Tiffany says herself if just one person gets checked out, she'd be happy. Most of us go through our lives without making any mark, i think that Tiffany sharing her journey with us has made people more aware. I say this as someone who has lost loved ones to cancer, who maybe went to the doctor when the disease was further down the line than it should be.

Oh man, this really teared me up. This feels like I was watching my sister or one of my kids going through it. You are such a sweet woman and have been through so much. You just woke up not knowing what was going on or where your Mom or boyfriend were and still managed a smile and a thank you to a nurse (I assume) checking on you while you were so upset and with tears in your eyes. I know you are vulnerable sharing this but I think you are really doing a service for people who will be going through a similar journey. I don't think you know just how much this will help.

Found myself crying with you. I’m just about to finish my masters in bioinformatics, having done my dissertation on cancer. you’re motivating me to go into cancer research. I don’t want anyone to suffer from cancer 💙

Please do go into cancer research, it is fascinating and we need more research. I was about to go into a trial for CAR T-Cell therapy for my type of stage 4 blood cancer. If you’re not familiar with it which I’m sure you are it’s harvesting our own T-cells sending them to be genetically modified to recognize cancer cells. There are side effects with neurotoxicity, and CRS, and B aplasia but it is a potential cure for many with incurable and curable blood cancers. If it’s consistently successful with systemic cancers such as blood cancers they hope to be using it for tumor cancers. Plus MD Anderson was also working on NK-Cell therapy as well. There is also the immunotherapies such as Dostarlimab which is being used on early stage colorectal cancers of certain strains without having to use typical chemoradiotherapy. So much advancements being made, be a part of it. I also had stage 4 colorectal cancer which had metastasized to my liver and lymph nodes so I had numerous surgeries and an ileostomy, then an ileostomy reversal, along with chemo and radiation. That was 7 years ago.

I remember watching this when you first uploaded it. I remember being in absolute disbelief about everything you’d just been through and the anxiety I had watching it, all the tubes and wires you were connected too, the monitors , everything. Little did I know a week later I would be in the same position. On life support in the icu because of septic shock. This video familiarised me with the icu which lessoned my anxiety when I came off the life support. Thankyou Tiffany ❤️ you don’t know and will never know how much you help people. I always thought of you when I was in and out of hospital this year, you gave me strength.

This is SO educational. Can’t believe you filmed yourself, but kind of glad that you did because it shows the world something they would likely not otherwise see, and it may help others prep for their situations. And WOW you looked and sounded completely different at first. My eyes welled up when you said you felt so alone, because I think we would all feel that way too. Thank you for posting this, it's so important to see the reality. This brings back so many memories for me. My cancer surgery was meant to be 4 hrs and was actually 10 hrs, plus I almost didn't make it. I was covered in blood too. I 'only' had surgery, but people don't realise how hard it is and how long it takes to recover. And the mental toll is really, really hard. So glad you posted the more recent video first so we know you're doing okay. Please take all the time you need to recover. 💕

i was in icu with covid on life support vent/etc , when i was woken from my coma, i was very confused for days and was delusional and thought the staff were there to kill me and do tests on me it was scary and felt very real! so i can totaly relate to you here, take care and heal well :) xxx oh also my vision was very blurry too i had the pick line in my neck too, i was blurry for 2 weeks, i know your in for a differnt reason but just wanted to share some of my experince from been on life support and all the drugs they give you etc, so glad you can get visitors to see you though , no one could see me due to covid! xx

So happy you pulled through. What a scary thing to go through. My father-n-law and friend passed away in the hospital with covid. I was scared, couldn't visit them, call them. Barley getting answers from Doctors and nurses. Still have nightmares. Your family had to have been so excited, crying, so emotional when you were able to come home. To see you so raw, emotional was both terrifying and beautiful, thank you for sharing. What you went through is a lot for the human spirit to handle, no one has an easy time facing moments like these. I know you are far from feeling your old self but the comparison between this and the video two days ago is day and night. Remind yourself that if the good times can't always stay good why would the bad times always stay bad? The future and good times might not seem in grasp right now but one day you will wake up, in a new adjusted life and forget the trouble of all of this ever happening, maybe even just for a minute, it all seem like a movie you watched years ago. Keep being you, don't be afraid to feel any emotion that comes to you. I know you got this!

I've had several major open heart surgeries. I looked swollen and felt just as emotional as you did in this video. I kept calling for my mom and was so incredibly sad that she wasn't there. Definitely the drugs. It's so great to be on the other side when you look back at where you were. I know it's not easy and it will still take time. Be kind to yourself and allow for all the time you need...however long that needs to be because it's different for everyone. Love you tons 💗

Were you trying to do the can can in bed Tiffany? 😂💗 I’m actually glad your sister & Matt visited that first night, I think your beautiful Mum would’ve found it too distressing seeing her baby girl like that, & you needed your sister & Matt’s energy & humour to perk you up that first night. Isn’t it amazing how much anaesthesia can blank our memory? I remember snippets after surgery but never all of it.. I’ve been told I don’t half ramble lol! You’ve come so far Tiffany. Look at you now. Although you’ve still got a journey ahead, each day is a step towards a new life for you & Matt. You’ve got so many new adventures ahead of you. Do you know what you could do? Plan that holiday / getaway with Matt, you mentioned about going away together rather than getting each other gifts for Christmas. Give yourself that end goal. Even if you don’t book anything right now, plan it out with Matt! Where you’d like to go, how long for, where you’d like to stay, the adventures you’d like to go on. Don’t ever, ever apologise for taking time away from everyone either Tiffany. You’ve been through a lot. I’ve had a few friends who have gone through cancer, & it really hit them after treatment was over or coming to an end.. don’t be ashamed of looking into counselling, just to talk to someone about what you’ve been through outside of your family. It really does make the world of difference. Thinking of you sweetheart, sending you so much love 💗 xx

Dear, Tiffany. I have been hospitaliserte and have had several surgeries over the past 40 years. Some of them has been really hard. And seeing you in the bed, it all comes back to me. You are young and strong. Now only think of recovering. I have been watching your video further ahead in your home. Strong pain medications can bring your O2 levels down. So even if you are at home and you have an issue with your oxygen, try not to worry. It’s pretty normal. It will sort itself out. You probably already know this. Tiffany, it’s so inappropriate for me to laugh but I can help but giggle at your little personality all drugged up. 🤭 You are just too cute.
