If i had a nickel for every time the party polymorphed something into a turtle and it went wrong and they had to cast polymorph again, id have two nickels, Which isn't a lot but its weird that it happed twice

Fjord: Yay giant Turtle! Fjord 5 seconds later: is traumatized and now fears turtles for the rest of the campaign

I remember Matt didn't have a turtle mini, so he used a horse. I still want to see fanart of a horse with a sign that says "I'm a Turtle" on it trying to bite fjord around his shield.

Funny how it comes full circle with a Dragon-Turtle coming at them.

I remember when Matt said 'giant snapper' and everyone was like "oh, that's fine" and I'm like THAT IS NOT FINE THAT IS NOT FINE RUN

Fjord's panicky "AELDRITCH BLAYEST" gives me life.

Fjord's natural enemies: Uk'otoa, Avantika, Turtles... just, any type of turtle really.

The Drednaw joke would be even funnier if Fjord had been using his British accent at this point.

I know it's just because animating it all would be a hassle, but its just so funny how it looks like the whole party is standing around doing nothing while Fjords in peril, when they were actually busy fighting undead giants, demon mosquitos and evil jellyfish.

The fact that they're just discussing Caleb's screw-up while Fjord is under attack is just hilarious to me

Cannot get over the animation of everyone just stood calmly by debating how to help Fjord while he tries desperately to put his shield between himself and a giant snapping turtle.

Travis' noises of anguish are PRICELESS

I love how hyped Travis was for it to be a turtle only to start screaming in terror.

They say play DnD they said, it would be fun they said. Now I'm back to a wall with a turtle to my Shelid and my roll luck is as good as my athletic skills with is non-existent

In my game we recently needed someone to search low in the ocean for an underwater cave system where a Lich is hiding, so I used polymorph, and specifically because of this moment in critical role; I knew exactly what to choose to turn the barbarian into.

Everyone tagging on Fjord, keep in mind Fjord was still terrified of this creature. So even if Travis didn’t remember that’s technically in character because would Y’ALL react with a cool head if you were terrified?

I feel like they learned their lesson with turning big monsters into harmless animals in this one. Next encounter I can remember where they did this was the Roc under the Wildmother's massive tree and made it a bat. Not technically harmless, but not able to effectively swing back and not a goldfish

The Mighty Nein has a better track record with T-rexes than they do turtles.
