@@eamonnryan8490 While parles is a participle for talking, Parley is correct here, as Percy successfully negotiated peace with the hostile field, rather than just having talked to it. It's a common term both in naval combat and high fantasy settings.

@@TheLearningDroid That is an awesome idea actually. If you are extremely aware of the innards of that tower and where you placed a magical trap, set there by an evil being, you could actually reward the players later down the line, by telling them they found a disabled trap, linked to that brick. Thanks for the inspiration!

I think the problem is that people don't treat Keyleth the same way as Scanlan, Tary, Grog and take her character too seriously. Vox Machina is more Monty Python than Lord of the Rings. A druid yelling at grass is funny. If she took her character as a serious, stern, all-knowing druid, it would seem out of place with the other players...despite what the numbers say on her character sheet.

I don't agree. I've played a number of characters with the same people (just different people DM'ing). When I played a druid with high wisdom, they hated it when I made jokes with/as the character. While I was playing a bard, they laughed, facepalmed and continued. The thing with Keyleth I think, isn't the character, because to be honest, her background is awesome and she plays it out rather well. I just think it's that Marisha wants to be more special, more unique than the others. Or she just chooses bad times to make jokes or to put Keyleth in the foreground, idk. I have the same thing with Beau. Another high wisdom class, but she plays her like she's a boyish teenager, still stuck in puberty.
