I just played this on my piano in front of my Zoom choir class and everyone started signing with five people who just looked confused like "wtf is happening" and at the end I yelled "MY FELLOW CRITTERS" and the looks on their faces killed me I did not know that almost everyone in choir knew what Critical Role was and the results were amazing

What a legend

There is one way I would improve this song. It's something minor, unless you're into history. A lot of your melody rhythms put emphasis on the first two notes, with them lasting 1.5x longer than the third note. However, in Grecian Epics, their poetic pattern for the hero is an Anapest, which puts emphasis on the third syllable. When I listen to the song, I hear that heroic rhythm, sometimes with a spondee at the end. But when I listen to your version, I pick up the literal opposite: two stressed syllables followed by an unstressed. In poetry, this rhythm doesn't even have a name, since the opposite of an Anapest is supposed to have one stressed syllable at the start, also known as a Dactyl. In the song: the ad-VEN-ture be-GINS. They were AL-ways be SIDE you; your NER-dy best FREINDS and the D-m to GUIDE YOU. In your music: the ad-VEN-TURE be-GINS. They were AL-WAYS be SIDE YOU; your NER-DY best FRIENDS and the D-M to GUIDE you.
