I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of elf because in this economy it’s so important that we have affordable options of popular products and what’s even better is elf usually does better than the original, so for that I’m thankful. I got a whole face of makeup for $90 the other day and it felt so good because I never get to get nice products in this economy.

Okay and Laneige lip glowy balm - such a need… I don’t use a bunch of full coverage makeup so I have wayyy to many lip balms. No offense to rhode lovers: NAHHHH. By far, I like to keep my berry lip glowy balm from Laneige in my purse if I go out. I literally put it on 2-3 times a day! That is how well it works!!!! But there is no need to get all the scents. I like sticking to the berry because it also has a very good pigment and glow to it- full on recommend 4.3!

for me, out of 5 its a 2. its very lipgloss like if that makes sense and it smooths the cracks in my lips but doesnt heal them, and i feel like a lip balm should be healing right? .5 for beautiful colors and smell 1 for consistency since im big on texture and .5 for shine cuz i love shiny lip products, imo, carmex does the same but heals your lips and for a much better price

Laneige has really good lip balms.i love them they aren’t sticky,don’t dry out ur lips,and look good i would recommend

The Ole Henriksen is absolutely different than any other lip balm, especially at Sephora. It is ACTUALLY very hydrating. It can truly HEAL the lips which I find to not be the case with all the other pretty lip balm options. 12/10

BLISTEX in the white squeeze tube truly heals the lips, not just covers them.. and for only $4 for a pack of 2 at your local grocery store or drugstore. Just saying.

Im not sure if there is a specific long lasting bronzer, but powder is definitely best! The NYX buttermelt bronzers are really pigmented so I’ve noticed the color stays on the skin well. The Haus Labs bronzers are also great, but I’ve never tested the longevity. 😆

i love the Ole Henriksen peptide lips. just the plain one, so little covers the lips in a nice thick layer and it stays on so long. and actually hydrates the lips!! and they have the rubber tip like summer fridays but not the drying formula!

ok, so regarding the rem beauty glossy balm - at first i was skeptical and thought this was gonna be very ‘meh’ but… IM IN LOVE i bought it quite recently and i’m 1/3 through it already, it’s on the more thick and balmy side for sure and it nourishes my lips like a dream. i have it in the shade cherry cola but honestly i’m tempted to buy it in strawberry drip too

@@ellerchu it has a subtle tint but you can work it up by adding few layers, and it’s super glossy. i never know how to speak on longevity of glosses tbh bc i always eat them😭 but i once took a 2 hour nap with it (already had it on for idk maybe an hour/two) and it was still on after that, so… take that however you want hahaha

Hey Elle! The lip glowy balms are something I love! I will say though, if you leave them in a belt bag or purse in the Sun they become kind of runny and comes out really fast and wastes some of it… Personally I choose the summer Fridays mint one because it’s firm enough to hydrate my lips, even in the sun. I take my summer Fridays more than I do laniege.

@@ellerchu I think they are both pretty hydrating but the summer Fridays is a little thicker and glowier. The birthday cake one has some little shimmers that makes your lips look fuller and feel less like lips and like clouds if that makes sense. 😂

My fav lippie is the elf lip balms! I have the strawberry and vanilla one and, i have two laneige lippies in berry (which btw is what your sleeping mask is in) and gummy bear. I can say they are a exact dupe of the laneige lip glowy balms! also they are so much cheaper ($4 vs $19)

Charlotte tilbury actually helped develop the tom ford fragrance line. It’s kind of a long time coming for them to create their own. But I am kind of surprised that they did it under the Charlotte tilbury name and not a new company name to look small business. Several big names have done similar things in the past year with other launches

I used to be a laneige lip glowy balm ride or die until I tried the Torriden (korean brand) Solid in Lip Essence. It's less than $10 for a decent sized tube and the texture is insane. Kinda like an oil, balm hybrid that leaves the lips super glowy.

Something I've always been confused about, and I'm actually honest to god genuinely asking for an answer and not just being snarky about it, is how is Elf duping makeup formulations different from something like Shein stealing designs from brands? Does Elf only dupe big name corporations or do they also dupe formulations from indie brands as well? Like, ethically what would be the difference there?

I personally don’t consider it any different (technically speaking). I had that same initial reaction when I learned that “duping” was elf’s entire business model. But for some reason the majority of the internet doesn’t see it this way. My guess is the reputation of elf makes people look pass it. 🤷‍♀️ I personally believe in budget friendly options, so it doesn’t bother me. But it’s a really great question though!

i actually like the lip glow balms by laneige. I only have the color Berry Fruits rouge and I am completely happy with it. I have not tried rode or summer Friday but the think what I like about the laneige one is that it is not to juice and thick as some other brands. To be fair idk if it really is doing something for my lips bc I do not use it on a regular basis but if I use them my lips feel soft and hydrated.

The ABH skin tint was so disappointing and such a waste of money 😢 Brought it back immediately. It was greasy as you said and just slid around on my skin, blending into pretty much nothing. Was so sad because I had been so excited to try!

I feel pretty bored with makeup as a whole currently, I'm mostly just using lip balms and glosses right now. Even Ulta's big spring sale didn't really entice me at all. I have so much stuff already, and my skin is kinda used and abused from playing with makeup "too much", so I'll probably be on a general no buy for a while. Not to scare anyone, but wearing makeup all the time was not good for my skin lol so don't feel like you have to do a full face all the time. Thank you for reading all this, love your content

I feel you!! Although I do wear more makeup now then I did before and my skin is actually clearer (I have hormonal acne). I think everyone’s skin is different and I don’t believe makeup is always a major contributor. But I’m very glad you found what has helped you and appreciate you for sharing your thoughts. 27:50 🫠 okay it was hard…the brush was so cool, the highlighter was nice (but not special), the glitter spray was cool (it’s not for everyone), and the palette 🎨 SHIMMERS. Now I have nothing like this in my collection, so if you have indie brand shimmers etc (maybe you should pass). HOEVA; Patrick did that, those blues and green mattes are cool, but the chrome-shimmers are stunning.

I tried the rem beauty glossy balm , and tbh I don’t think it’s really worth the price. It’s pretty on the lips, but she feels a bit sticky and thick, I look at it, more as a gloss then a combination of a lip and balm. However the longentivity of this product is amazing . 45 mins go by and I still see it and feel it on my lips. What annoys me, is just the consistency, so I’ll give it a 3/5. Wouldn’t buy it again, should be a bit cheaper, but it does smell heavenly❤.

Personally, I love the scents that the Laneige lip glowly balm offers, and I'd totally get the mango one. However, they aren't 100% cruelty free because they allow animal testing in countries were it's required. Thus, I've never tried it.

Oh girl, I love my Olehenriksen lip balms. Super hydrating for my dry lips, it is glossy (but not too glossy), & it did plump my lips. The strawberry tastes good too. Rhode, Laneige, Summer Fridays are gone. ❤ My fave from Laneige is gummy bear lip balm & their peppermint line are hydrating. Mario basic lip mask has beaten the most popular ones imo.

I love it as a spot concealer, and it’s a creamy satin medium to full coverage formula. I don’t like it under the eyes though, it’s a bit too heavy and creases on me. ☺️

I really like lip balms they just make me feel a lot better about myself so I have a lot of them. And my skin is very dry so it’s more necessary but I don’t buy the luxury products cause I’m a teen girl😂. I don’t wear a lot of makeup since I’m young and wearing face products makes me uncomfortable so I save myself from being influenced a lot which is a win for my wallet!

I didn't really like the glowy balms from leneige bc it goopy and sticky imo, it doesn't have the same formula as the sleeping masks have which I lovvveeeee my leneige sleeping mask I have them all bc I just couldn't help myself just because I don't NEED IT doesn't mean I don't WANT IT!!!!!
