Other notes about the Chiefs Super Bowl LIV ring: the 142.2 on the side that depicts Arrowhead Stadium is the official crowd noise for the loudest roar at an outdoor stadium, achieved in 2014 against the Patriots. On the inside are the scores of the three postseason wins along with the deficit the team had to overcome to win that respective playoff game.
Rams diamonds are 1.12 carats to represent when Kroenke brought the team home, the day McVay joined the team, and the first playoff win, all on January 12 (sorry St. Louis)
I haven’t finished watching the video, but I’m going to guess the rings started getting outrageous when the average cost of SB tickets started to increase. The 60’s to mid 70’s they were around $15, which is less than $100 in today’s money. Then they started to climb mid 80’s, nearly doubling in cost. Then the mid 90’s saw another price increase, nearly doubling in costs again. Then after 2000, the prices just increased by $100’s almost every year. So an average 1967 ticket cost $12 (about $110 today) to today where the average was over $8K.
The 2020 Tampa Bay was mind-blowing to see. A two-tiered ring, on top of the design and detail to the season? *chef's kiss* My fav? Any one without a Raiders logo on it.
Five, eventually, I'm going to need your video about minor league baseball stadiums. Because my Albuquerque Isotopes have a heck of a ballpark over there. 💛
I'm hoping Truist Stadium (the one in Winston-Salem) gets a shoutout. By far the nicest minor league stadium I have been to, and much better than Truist Field down in Charlotte.
I love how pretty much every ring from a pre-merger SB champion has the grand total of championships somewhere on it. Continuing their pre-SB champions too.
As much as I love the playful banter regarding the redskins history there is something so annoying about people conflating the common and more levelheaded stance of “hey it’s not surprising why a team used to be called that but maybe it’s not a good look to continue having a racially motivated name from before the color barrier was broken” and confusing it for “we must erase all signs of history” there is a difference between erasing history, as appose to acknowledging the past and moving on from it, and it beats the hell out of letting history dictate the future just because ‘that’s how it’s always been’”
Would you be offended if a team was called the Whiteskins? I wouldn't. But hey let's name our team after savage groups like Pirates, Raiders, Outlaws and Vikings.
@@TheMrPeteChannel I would not be offended by “white skins” but that’s cuz white people have never been as societally prejudiced towards in modern history. If you want to make the case that white peoples having societal prejudice towards them it would only be during early immigration Irish and Italians. that being said I think that there are many things you can name a mascot of a team after that isn’t a racial epitome that, and that’s why I see you’re argument as weak. Like I said if the redskins or Indians continued to exist, I wouldn’t love it but I’d accept it. All I’m saying is not to assume that everyone that said “let’s change the name” also wants to “rewrite history” cuz I guarantee you’re wrong
@@TheMrPeteChannel also all the names you listed aren’t as distinctively tied to the race that they descend form as much as the REDskins, especially the strawman “white skins” that your snowflake ass had to make up for the sake of this argument
This. That whole banter over the Redskins name being on the ring annoyed me and took me out of the video. It's such a disingenuous misrepresentation and exaggeration of the debate surrounding the name.
In all fairness I agree that they should have just left the redskins name alone as there are many other sports teams with names related to native Americans but for the record “because we tolerated it for 50 years” isn’t actually a good reason to do anything, we tolerated cannabis prohibition for over 50 years and that doesn’t justify one second of it.
Hey, somebody got the joke!!!👍 You wouldn’t believe the amount of mouth breathers in the comments that thought he was being serious. Well, it’s football fans. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised, lol..
Surprised you didn’t mention the drop off in quality from Super Bowl to conference championship rings. Apparently some of them easily break apart, leaving jewels in pools to be found by pet detectives
So, the star on the Steeles 1976 ring wasn't an attempt at a Dallas logo. It was the official logo for the national bicentennial celebration. USA was turning 200. I saw a Jack Lambert jersey from that game, had the bicentennial logo on the front. Did every team wear that logo that year? I'll do some research and check it out.
My old boss is from ATL. Die hard fan. We would occasionally set an alarm on to go off at 2:32pm. "Why is that alarm going off?" "It's 28 to 3, boss." "Get out."
Lol 90s cowboys. Those fucking starter jackets still hit something deep in me. Dude you’re from NJ stop. You have 3 teams with 90 mins of each other and they were all good to functional during the same time frame.
I just watched your weirdest baseball field video and my high school more then qualifies with a 550 ft left 300 ft center and a 1000ft right field located at voorheesville high school satellite fields near Albany ny
Maybe my Philly fan is showing, but the Eagles' ring is pretty damn nice... prolly too big, though. That third Steelers one is probably the best, though; really nice design, while still being classy... Though the Saints' one is also kinda fire, ngl.
@@supersasukemaniac thank you for making it clear how you feel. I believe open bigotry, and marginalization is better than keeping that attitude to yourself. Please do that in the real world as well. Let those you interact with know your true self!
Fly Eagles fly, on the road to victory! Fly Eagles fly, score a touch down 1-2-3. Hit em low! Hit em high...and watch our Eagles fly! Fly Eagles fly...on the road to victory! E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
Well. Jostens did all of my high school graduation merch including class rings, and even did my parents' as well. So the high school ring may just bw their style
