Video Stocking
Yarn: 200 yds Size 5 Yarn
Hook: 6.5mm (Size K hook)
Gauge: 5 DC X 3 Rows = 2 inches
Size: Stocking is 16 inches tall and 11 inches heel to toe.
Velvet Stocking
I made my velvet stocking with a 6.5mm hook, though I recommend using a 6mm hook for smaller holes between the stitches. If using a 6.5mm hook the stocking will be the same size and the one in the video, a smaller hook will result in a slightly smaller stocking.
Striped Stocking
Yarn: 7 oz or 364 yds of Red Heart Super Saver (size 4 yarn)
Size: 16.5 inches tall and 12 inches wide.
Hook: 6.5 mm (Size K) hook
I worked the striped stocking using two strands of size 4 yarn held together while I crocheted. This resulted in s slightly bigger stocking.
Color information for stripes:
White - Rows 1-3, and 13-17
Turquoise - Rows 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, and 34.
Cherry Red - 5, 9, 19, 23, 27, and 31.
Spring Green - 7, 11, 21, 25, 29, and 33.
Mini Stocking
Yarn: 2.8 oz or 146 yds of Red Heart Super Saver (size 4 yarn)
Size: 12.5 inches tall and 8.75 inches wide.
Hook: 5mm (Size H) hook
I crocheted this stocking using a smaller hook (5mm) and one strand of size 4 yarn. It resulted in a small/medium size stocking. I worked rows 1-3, 13-17, and 34-38 in white and the rest of the stocking in red.
