In this video, I am showing you how to crochet a twelve-point star blanket. I recently crocheted one in Scheepjes Chunky Monkey and I had to show you the pattern as I enjoyed it so much.

How many yards or meters of yarn did you use to make your self striping 12 star blanket? I bought one here and kick lion brand will ease self striping yarn. It’s 380 m but I don’t know if it’s going to be enough to make a good size blanket. Can you let me know how many I think I should get? I found them on sale and I’d like to get them before The sale is over. Thank you so much.

I am once again returning to this video to send to a friend! I just finished my seventh(?) 12 point star and I LOVE making them. I'm prone to happy accidents in my work (forgetting a duplicate round, or skipping a stitch) but the pattern is *so* forgiving. I'm also a fast crocheter and these beauties work up to six feet across in less than 20 hours. I use this pattern to make sunflower themed blankets, but the one I just finished is in red/white/blue and looks like a firework! Thank you again for this pattern!!

Lovely! I’ve make a 6 point star blanket out of Red Heart Ombré yarn color Coral. It was so pretty!’ I wish I could have kept it. Maybe I’ll try the 12 point one next!! Thank you Ophelia for a pretty pattern.

I have started on the linen stitch border and I found going up an entire hook size helps keep the stitches loose enough. Tricky part is the stitch count coming to corners, but so far I have been able to fake it well. Mine is 14 colours, so still lots of ends to weave in before I am done! It's a nice weighty solid blanket and very colourful. Thanks again, Anja.

You are so interesting to listen to you talk about the yarn you purchase and where you get it. Plus you use beautiful yarn and explain your stitches. Do you ever do the pattern for left handed crocheter ? A lot of the people somehow in the way they set up there camera 🎥 . Your work is stunning.

Hi Terri - try your neighbour Canada - I got mine from Trendy or What Knot at buyyarn.online/ and it was pretty quick delivery considering the state of package delivery these days. They have a lot of different Scheepjes yarns including the Whirl that Anja used for that beautiful virus shawl. I am making that shawl in Jade Jimjam - so lovely!

I love this blanket- am working on this right now- using Aran yarn - the only question I have is there a certain number of recipe was to do or do I just continue until I feel it and s big enough?

I'm a little confused on the increase rows.... Are they always 2 DC, 2 chains, and 2 DC? Or does the number need to go up each time? And if so, are the 2 increase rows both the same amount of DC? Or does it go up with each one? Thanks!!
