Perfect timing! I found a pattern online that lost me half way through. Yours explains it perfectly and now I can pull out my black, purple and green yarn again and make some cauldrons for boo bag giveaways before Halloween!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'm very new at crotchet I've only made 3 small projects before this one and they were very simple designs. I was able to understand everything clearly and didn't have any questions. I've bought my last 3 projects from woobles and although they do overall a good job at explaining for the most part, there was a few times I was confused unsure on how to proceed. I didn't have that doing this cauldron! Very simple and turned out super cute! I wanted to make one because my last project was a ghost (getting all ready for Halloween already!) anyway thanks again! 🎉
Super cute! Thank you so much. This is a lot easier than the way I’ve done them where you make tiny handles and three separate feet. You have to sew all of those on later so I love this. 😊
I made mine in purple there and I'm so so happy with it! Just a note to self for when I make more: put a stitch marker in the stitch after the bobble stitch BEFORE doing the bobble stitch, so I can tell which one i go into next. I followed along with the written instructions open as well and it went super well, first time doing the bobble stitch and I learned something so thanks for the free pattern!
Interesting! I’m not a lefty and am having trouble picturing what you mean by the hook folding backwards… the basic concept is you’re making a short chain and working a few stitches into that chain to kinda make a dangly bit. Then you work another couple of stitches on the cauldron, grab the free end of the dangly bit, and attach it into your next stitch. I wonder if it would help to insert your hook from top to bottom instead when attaching it instead? Please let me know if that works or where exactly it’s going wrong (making the chain? Working into the chain? Attaching the other end?) and maybe we can find a solution. if all else fails, you can skip the integrated handles - just work this round plain, sc I each stitch. Then later make the separate handles and sew them on.
