Learn how to Crochet the Inverted / Alternative V Stitch Method! Using dc2tog (double crochet 2 together) stitches it creates a denser and less holey V Stitch - I personally find it faster too! If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...

🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on RU-vid yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

Robin, I am a 65 yr old woman, and in my day, it was just something a girl, or young lady was taught to do. I've been crocheting for years now, but I must tell you. . . I have learned more in the past month, watching your videos, than I have my entire life! I have actually WANTED to crochet again~! lol. . Thank you for that! . . Needless to say, pretty much everyone will be getting hand made items for christmas this year! :)

Yes! Yes! This is what I needed to see 🫶🏽 Thank you Mrs. Robin for continuing to bless so many of us, whether you know it or not. My aunt taught me to crotchet when I was roughly 10 years old. The pandemic encouraged me to pick up my needles and thread again after mehhh, 10 years? I am now 28 and according to my aunt.. I have completely taken what she has shown me and took it to another level!!! I hate to be cliché but this is the truth. Your videos have brought me tranquility when the past 2.5 years have been nothing shy of a whirlwind for me. As my generation says, “Your aesthetic is EVERYTHING!” lol. From your high caliber of editing to your clarity when explaining even the most basic stitch.. down to nail color. Phenomenal is an understatement. I just attempted the snowflake last night and was able to work up 2 of those cold boys in 30 minutes with Velvet yarn. Anyway, I pray you and your loved ones have a peaceful, safe and blessed holiday and more. I am grateful 🌻 Never stop teaching.. well, unless you want to of course 😄 Selfishly, I hope it’s no time soon! Thank you 🙏🏽

"Your aesthetic is everything" is the highest compliment I could receive! I know I should be taking flattery from the teaching side but it's so nice to hear the tiny details that are so deliberate on my end are actually noticed! 😄 Call me shallow but those tiny details are the bits I obess over LOL 🥰🧶 Thank you so much for taking the time to write all that! @@HookedbyRobin You’re more than welcome! You deserve the credit! Us “artists” are sensitive about our crafts even when starting out. Please take it and know that you are truly deserving of such praises!!! There is absolutely nothing wrong with paying attention to details and being confident in your work. WOW! I have to take a minute to tell you that I have been crocheting for 50 years and was even a crochet editor for Annie's Attic Publishing for several years. I have never seen or used this particular stitch before today and I am just so amazed. I've had some bulkier type yarn and was in search for a new stitch that created what I wanted and this was the one! I'm using a #5 weight yarn with a K size hook and it's turning out beautifully. I can't thank you enough for sharing with us all.

What a lovely alternative for V stitch. I tried it for a doll blanket for my grandaughter's 'baby' crib. My daughter loved it so much, she's asked me to make a full sized one for her. Thank you so much. Happy holidays and much love from Australia 💗

Thank you for giving the multiples, and for using a larger yarn showing against a contrasting background!!! So many tutorials I can't see what the creator is doing. I'm loving this alternative V-stitch option with less holes. I'm going to do a scarf. I started it with crossed double crochet stitch, but I think this is easier and looks as pretty.

Thank you Ivy for the lovely feedback, I definitely find a contrasting background so much easier too.😃 Great idea about the scarf. What yarn/colours are you making it in?🧶

I love this stitch. I can’t wait to try this one lol. Here in FL Joann’s is having a sale on all their 🧶 yarn. Uh oh lol. I just love the colors you have used; so pretty. Thank you Robin for sharing another beautiful pattern 🎄❤️Gayle. Hope you & your family had a wonderful holiday 🎄🎅🏼⛄️Robyn, I wanted to say I have watched a couple of other peoples videos. Yours are much easier to follow by far. The other ones are silent; show instructions on the screen. I’m very appreciative for their time but I find it much harder to follow. Your instructions are clear and you explain as you go along, your voice is sweet and soothing like we have been friends for a long time. I envision sitting with a cup of tea on your couch having a wonderful afternoon. Lol. Thank you for your time and teaching that you have invested. I am so grateful 🌹gayle

Tomorrow is another day. I want to so bad and excited. Enjoy your time with family and have a wonderful New Year. I’m still testing (*) for Covid. I think my Dr is scratching his head now lol.
