Hello Carrie. I am a self taught crocheter, very new to it as of this year. I am wondering if you have a gauge swatch guide for this particular cardigan. I really would love to make this for my mother, but am afraid to even start without at least that. Or maybe do you have finished measurments? Thank you for your time in answering this. Your pattern is very lovely!

Hi, thank you for this fab tutorial ❤️ I have just started the cardigan and I'm doing it in the biggest size you can for a Christmas gift, I have done the 75 like the pattern calls for, but to me it doesn't look that big. I am row two of the loops, so maybe it's because I'm not that far in. Thanks. X

One small point: When you are showing how to crochet the front and back panels together, you suggest placing a cable side to a flat side. I believe you meant that cable sides should be facing each other with the inside of the sweater facing out. Wouldn't want someone to crochet the sweater panels together with a wrong side facing out. Great pattern and instructions. Will be giving a go soon. Thank you for all your time in creating these beautiful patterns and your very easy to follow instructional videos. Happy crocheting everyone.

Hello Carrie! I love your video and all your patterns, I will be starting this soon and I just have one question, I noticed your hand is pretty loose with the stitching. I am in between loose and tight, but my stitches are definitely tighter than yours so I wonder if that will mess up my sizing? I am going for a size Large, but a longer cardigan below the butt, so I just want to ask before I start so I can mind my hands when stitching. I wouldn’t want to make them too too tight and end up with a more medium sized cardigan, that wouldn’t fit lol. I hope to hear back soon! Thank you and much love! ❤

Hi Carrie, I’m Elizabeth and I love this cardigan - I have a question - if I want the bottom to be straight instead of curling in with the rib, do I just not do the rib or is there a way to make the rib looser so it doesn’t pull in but still finishes the cardi and matches the rest of the trim? Thanks so much 🙏🏻

Sorry but this pattern is bad- the sizing Is really off and there is no guide as to the measurements of the garment. Do not bother trying this. find a pattern that has gauges and size measurements and you will save yourself a lot of time and effort. I wish the creator of the pattern would reply to some of the comments as so many are asking the same thing it would be nice to have an explanation to clear up some confusions. It is such a shame because it seems like a nice garment it is just ruined by the lack of information.

I just finished the S-M size and it is so tiny. I’m a size small, but it’s way too tight and the sleeves are comically short. If you are considering making this, make two or more sizes bigger than you think you need. However, I would suggest trying another pattern entirely because the sizing and proportions of this are so off. I’m sad I wasted all my time making this and it doesn’t look right at all.

@@DawnaLovesYarn Honestly, just keep sticking to it. Even if you feel like it’s not working out, it probably is and you might just be over thinking it. i thought it was going to look like a beginner made it but it looked so good my mom literally thought i bought it somewhere and asked where i got it. so just remember your stitching and to just keep going, it took a bit longer than i thought but i followed the tutorial through and through and it worked out great!! good luck, and i just know yours will be great too!

Whenever you need to chain and then turn your work, ONLY CHAIN 1 AND NOT 3!!!!! And then work a double crochet into the very first stitch of the row!!!!!! Trust me on this y’all! I am an expert/professional in all things crochet.

I am starting this now using Lion Brand Pound of Love in Waterfall Cascade which is a pretty sage green color. I hope I don't hit a snag later because I'm stitching as I'm watching so hopefully this is very beginner friendly and I'll have an easy time completing it. I've been looking for a sweater or cardigan I can make for myself and I like the texture and big sleeves on this one. Wish me luck.

Hi! I’m little confused. You’re doing small and medium size...For the front panel, you toll to make twenty rows ,that’s twenty single crochet.I notice your panel that you make have 25 rows...Hope to hear your answer. Thanks!!!

Me again.! I have finished back panel and loving look. Started front. Says 20 rib rows. = 20 stitches. Then do loop row which gives me 3 loops with 5 treble each end, but looking at yours you have 4 loops?? Am I doing something wrong. Sorry for bombarding you with questions.

Hi, I have the same question. I am also getting 3 loops in a row with 20 stitches for a small. Is this correct?

I just drew it out and it checks out ||||i||||i||||i|||| (the i signifies a DC with a 10ch loop on top)

Carrie, the panels were very easy to make but instruction for the sleeves is confusing. Where is the instruction for the ribbing? When making the 8 chain extension you say that’s the top of the sleeve and based on the instructions, you crochet in the BLO for 3 rows with no instruction on how to connect the extension to the body of the sleeve. Yet, when you lay the sleeve out prior to assembly there’s ribbing in the sleeve. HELP! I’ve got the panels done & the sleeves, except for the ribbing. I’d like to finish the cardigan but I’m stuck. I’ve watched the video 3x and have read the written instructions twice that many but I don’t see it.
