This guide is a God-send. Instructions are very clear, the video is very clear, the movements and patterns are very clear. As I listen, I am able to make a schematic in my head and imagine everything very vividly. I love this and all the hard work put into the whole project-video, beret, and all.
Just finished making a gray one. About to do one in red to match the cardigan . I followed the tutorial for the red cardigan you posted. I love your work.
very nice and clear tutorial. its a slightly more complex pattern with the front post stitches but the instructor is very clear and the stitches are also filmed very clearly. Thank you!
Thank you so much! This tutorial was much easier for me. I was following another one and my hat kept looking like cooked bacon lol 🥓 all wavy and terrible. But I was able to do it easily with yours. Thank you!
Thank you SO much for this. My mom’s friend asked me to make a tam for her, and I always stall on things I’ve never made before (when I’m doing it for someone else) because I’m so afraid that I won’t be able to pull it off and that it won’t come out right. You have made this so easy and I appreciate you for it. I watched to write everything down first, but I did stop and work up the first 7 rows after catching on to the pattern and it was so fast and easy to remember without having to constantly refer back. You were so clear and so awesome. I had saved about 10-15 videos and hadn’t picked one yet. I’m so glad it was this one. I feel SO much better, and she’s older so I know this is the style she’s looking for. I can’t thank you enough!! I’ve got my confidence up for this on my first try because of you.
YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT TEACHER. I KNOW I HAVE CHALLENGES TO MATCH MY FP , BUT IAM GETTING THERE. HOW I WISH YOU ARE THE ONE TO TRAIN ALL CROCHETS. ❤YOU THANKS
Thank you for this tutorial!! I came here after seeing your cardigan tutorial and I can’t wait to make my matching set. I’m a novice-intermediate crocheter and I find some video tutorials can be a bit boring but you definitely make it more fun!
This was so refreshing.. the pattern was so easy to follow and I made it for my aunt. She absolutely loved it❤. I keep trying to know the measurements for a toddler.. I'll be glad if you can help with that. Thank you
Such a nice pattern, well, explained, and demonstrated. This hat is very pretty. Thank you for your time and that blind decrease! It makes me want to crochet more or them!
Same here! My son's girlfriend asked me for a beret and I didn't want to just make a basic single crochet all the way around forever. This beret has detail that makes it fabulous! Thank you so much!
I'm not yet finished with the hat or tutorial, however, I must say that this is the clearest video I have had the pleasure to find. Your instructions are concise and very easy to follow. Thank you, thank you!
This is very beautiful. Practicing my first one to accompany your cardigan .I have 3 cardigan wins in progress different colors. You are amazing! Ty for a clear video and beautiful work! I will continue to follow you!❤
I love this Beret hat so much! Following the pattern is very easy my one question is, is the hat suppose to fit snug on your head or very loose? Ive tried following the same measurements but if I stop at 9.5 inches I only have 6 double crochets In between the front post double crochets. If I keep going until I have 9 double crochets in between then the measurement is about 12.5 inches. I’m using a weight 4 yarn (Caron Cinnamon Swirl Cake) and size 4.0 mm hook.
Does it curl outwards or inwards, I can’t really tell the issue is I can’t see it. If you follow the pattern, it should be fine if you do the reduction and ribbing part
Can you make a triangle shape starting with one diamond and repeating (3, 5, 7 etc) as you go. And then maybe decrease to form a square. It'd make a great blanket and also a good way to use scraps...
I love this video. You do a wonderful job explaining how to make this beautiful beret. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. I look forward to watching more of your videos!
My, my! Everything about your post was very well done. Lighting, camera close to the work to be seen well, your clear speech, holding the beret and clear instructions. It was good to hear someone explain amd work without alot of repeating or studdering. I really enjoyed this post. Thank you for sharing. I did subscribe!
This is so cute im doing my black currently i just want to ask if there's a way that i can do it with mixed colors the front post will be made with a different color from the beret
I’m a very visual learner and the way you explain things in your videos is so helpful. Thank you! I’m currently making the cardigan that matches this and I shall definitely be trying this next.
Can you tell me why my beret is crinkling and curling up in the second increase round, am doing something wrong. Please 🙏 let me know. I finally got it correct after redoing it over and over again.
In the Tutorial I said and showed that I made rows until I had 9 double Crochets between the front posts. Please watch the whole tutorial, everything is explained there
Hey,,I saw this and started crotcheting mine but it's started curving like a flower ,plus instead of curving downwards after the row of no increases it's curving upwards, what could I be doing wrong?
