Follow along with me as I make some crochet earrings, working around silver wire. You can of course adapt this design to however you need for your earrings.
Learn how to crochet these stunning earrings with minimal cost! Written pattern available via Patreon feed.
All you need is;
- Cotton Lace Yarn about 1mm thick
- 50mm Memory Wire
- 20 x 4mm Beads
- 1.5mm Crochet Hook
- Sewing Needle
- Scissors
- General DIY pliers with wire cutter

I haven't even watched video yet and I know this is perfect for me. Wow!!! They are just beautiful! I was wondering what I was gonna use those tiny crochet hooks for lol. Thanks to hearing how much you like them, I recently broke down and bought the set of Clover hooks and they are wonderful!!! I wouldn't want to go back to my old hooks ever again, but I'm gonna have to break them out so I can make these beautiful earrings...Thank you for ALL of your wonderful tutorials. Thanks for answering my comment, another youtuber I'm subcribed to usually don't answer at all. Anyway, I don't suppose you'd be interested in doing just one of your simple crochet flowers using the crochet thread and hook you used in doing the earrings? It should be a little less fidelly without having to work around the beads and the memory wire. I hope you consider doing - just one. The memory wire did look like a Slinky toy. I applaud you for working with the tools you have and showing people they don't always have to go and buy the tools just to make what you're teaching. Thank you so much. I hope you are doing well. I get white elmers glue to make it stiff to thread the beads . Just an idea of mine cause I couldn’t get the thread with needle to thread beads

The ear rings, are beautiful, but i would prefer to buy the ready made hoops. They can also be bought on ebay. How many beads in the pack?

Go for it, you can adapt this pattern how you like for any loop! This video is just a guide. As for how many beads, I can't remember exactly as this video is actually from over 2 years ago (just made it public) but there were quite a lot!

@@nikkiranson- Crochet thread comes in sizes 3, 5, 10, 20, 40, 60, and 80--3 being the heaviest and 80 being the lightest. The recommended hook size for size 3 is 3.5 mm. The next size up from size 3 is fingering yarn, then DK. So that should give you some idea. I can't wait to try these, thanks!

How do you calculate the number of stitches to make if you use a smaller, ready-made earring hoop? Multiples of 7? 6?

It would be easier to see what you're doing if you just put down a dark cloth since you are working with light material..

How you like really. You can add proper earring fasteners or fold them as in the video. Entirely up to you. I''d say I'm definitely more a crocheter than a jewelry maker, so if unsure still maybe check out some jewelry making videos for the metal working part to give you some inspiration.
