i don’t love vid patterns so here’s written pattern - ch 10 - start from 2nd stitch from hook and sc 8 more down (9) - sc down the other side (10) - put stitch marker on the loop around hook - 4 cluster dc in next stitch - sc 5 (5) - another 4 dc cluster - sc back to stitch marker move stitch marker to loop on hook currently and add eyes on the clusters - sc around - sc around - sc around - sc to side of work - ch 13 - st 3 - ch 3 - st 3 - ch 3 - st all the way back down the arm - sc to other side and rpt the arms - finish row - sc 5 rows or as long as you want - rpt the arms technique but leggy sew this bitch closed and you have leggy frog. thanks for reading my terrible pattern, folks. 💋💋mwah

For anyone wondering, the “double crochet cluster” stitch is called a bobble stitch. Just for anyone who wants to find a video that explains how to do the stitch a bit better.

used this pattern with a smaller weight yarn and had to extend the body by a few rows and it turned out so cute! thank you for the tutorial!!

here’s a written pattern R1: ch 10, start 2nd st from hook and sc 9 down, sc 9 in other side of ch (18) R2: 1sc, bobble st (dc till you have 5 loops on the hook then pull through all), 5 sc, bobble st, 10 sc (18) R3-5: sc around (18) *add safety eyes* R6: sc 6, ch 13, slst 3, ch 3, slst 3, ch 3, slst 3 (last slst goes into where 1st finger started), 9 or 10 slst( till you get to the end), sc 9, ch 13, slst 3, ch 3, slst 3, ch3, slst 3, slst 9 down, sc 3 (18) R7-10: sc around (18) * add mouth like in video 14:16* R11: sc around (18) R12: follow R6 instructions leave tail for sewing and stuff 17:39 i’d recommend watching the video 8:53 for the arms and legs (R6 and R12) hope this helps someone :)

Thank you for this! I've already made two and it's only been a couple of days since I found this pattern! I made a bit of a booboo on the first pattern and increased a few stitches, which made for a chubbier face which looks like a real frog head! And the arms I added too many stitches, but it means it can cross it's little arms! I love when my bung patterns come out well 😭

Don’t cut the backing for the eyes it’s the whole safety aspect they are meant to be tight so they can’t come undone for a child to choke on 🤦🏻‍♀️ other than that nice video tutorial

If you have trouble with the 4 double crochet cluster thingys its like a bobble stitch but you end up with 5 loops on your hook instead of 6.

Legend Ch- chain Ss- slipstitch Sc- single crochet Bbl- bobble/ dc cluster FLO- front loop only R1: ch 10 R2: 9sc starting in 2nd ch from hook (9) R3: 9sc on other side of chain (18) You are now working in a round R4: sc, bbl, 5sc, bbl, 10sc (18) R5-R7 18sc Add eyes to bbl stitches from round 4 R8 sc, ARM [ch 14, 3ss starting 2nd ch from hook, (ch 4, 3ss starting 2nd ch from hook) x2, 9ss going back to body] 9sc, ARM, 8sc R9-13 18sc R14 sc, ARM, 9sc, ARM, 8sc R15 18sc Stuff, and sew closed whip stitch FLO Optional: to make bigger you can add more rounds to both 5-7 and 9-13, just keep it a ⅗ ratio. Also longer chains for arms. For thicker arms use a single crochet instead of slip stitch. To add face details just add them any time between R8-R15

Really, really cute. I would be a little concerned about snipping the plastic closure of the safety eyes, though, because that could make them much less "safe" for young children. Most of the time, though, when I am making toys for little ones, I just stitch on all features with yarn. I can't wait to make a bunch of these!🐸😁

To make the magic ring easier start by chainring 2 then put all your sc in the first chain (yes this does make it easier)

I used this as my first ever crochet project and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, the eye socket things where the hardest part in my opinion so he turned out a little goofy looking, with one eyes socket being bigger than the other and a few deformed feet, but he is super cute!!

Do you realize by cutting the backs of the eyes, they are no longer safety eyes? Easier to put on, but easier for a child to pull off. Otherwise great pattern
