A really calm, simple, clear tutorial Thank you. Your link below intrigued me " to blessed to be stressed" I haven't heard of the book so now I must go book shopping. Thank you again....no wonder you're so calm. Be abundantly blessed.
I wrap the piece of yarn around the stich,, while crocheting ( No need to crochet it into the stich like she did)) and it is faster too. I use that to mark while Knitting too.
Hi @jacquelinecarter9093, Stitch markers are to help the beginners just starting out. I try to make the videos as simple as possible. Thank you for the compliment!
It depends on how big the strips and hook you are using and how loosely you're crochet stitches are. The measurements may not be exact but you could start with a Chain of 20 and then measure the chain. You want it to measure about 61 inches
Hi Jeanie Such, I make a little snip straight of the grain and rip the fabric into strips. The frayed edges will give the rug a more rustic look. Sometimes I will remove some of the strings but not all.
Hi daydreamworksbykim, I use the no sew technique. Here is my video for it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AcGK1K9JtWo.html Thank you for the compliment on the Crochet Oval Rag Rug video!😊
I'm not sure, but if it still looks good you can do a two in 1 stitch to decrease the stitches. On the side that has an extra stitch put your hook in top of Crochet with marker and pull the yarn thru leave loop on the hook and do a single crochet in the next stitch. This will connect the two stitches together to decrease the stitches by one.
Hi Jo, It depends on how long you make the foundation chain. You can make it 10" shorter than you want the length to be and stop doing rounds when it reaches that length. On the straight side, the width, depending on the fabric, if you go 22 rounds then it should be about 40" wide.
When the rug is as wide as you need it then do 2 slip stitch then chain 1 and cut off a tail weave the tail into the rug and tie it off on the under side.
